Sam looked at the three of them and asked.
"Just who are you?"
"Why? Want to know who killed you before you died?" The girl asked, but Sam snorted and said.
"No, I wonder who sucks like that."
Sam said and he was surrounded by a golden light. He activated the fusion of the partial light elements. He didn't know who they really were, but they were very fast. So, quickly Sam felt a bit slow when he used the fire element and even the Phantom move.
He could not help but feel amazed.
But he doesn't have much time to play. After all, his friends would come here within minutes after they saw the commotion, they would start vying for battle.
"Let's finish quickly. My friends will come back and believe me, they're very fast."
With that, Sam disappeared and slammed his cane towards the girl as she reappeared on her back.
The three of them widened their eyes in disbelief as he stared at their comrade whose body was split apart.
He rolled on the ground while writhing in pain.
Sam also paused for a moment. There was a scar on his body caused by the attack of the sharp light element with his staff. But that's not what surprised him. There seems to be a corrosive effect.
All along, when he attacked the first person, he could heal himself easily.
But now, there was no healing effect and there seemed to be an intense corrosive effect applied on their backs.
When Sam was in a daze, the other two launched an attack and when Sam dodged, they did not follow and simply dragged their comrades.
One of them took out a dagger and cut the flesh around the scar and then only the skin started to regenerate.
"You guys what?" Sam asked while looking at them and started guessing.
"You're not a vampire."
The three of them looked at him at the same time with astonishing expressions.
"No wonder. I've guessed that much but didn't confirm it. Not attacking in the morning, your strength must be greatly suppressed, living beings that contain catapults and even undead beasts, I expect that much. .I just thought I'd meet you guys when I came to the undead realm, but here you guys came here to get your faces slapped."
As soon as Sam was done, the three of them stood up and looked at him with hateful gazes.
"You learn too much. You shouldn't be so smart, now this brings you to your death."
As soon as they spoke, their bodies started to change slightly, their canines became sharper and their pupils flushed. Their skin became paler and eventually, their nails also lengthened.
They drain blood and death energy.
"Since you already know who we are, we can fight you unconditionally. Be proud that you died at the hands of a vampire noble. Not many people get this opportunity. In fact, I might take you to be my servant."
The girl spoke and the three of them moved.
Sam was dumbfounded by their speed. They were almost as fast as him. They were like hazy shadows as they tore through the air and launched an attack on him.
The first person launched a curse of darkness, but the curse was all blood red. The second man launched a blood-red flame, and the woman attacked with blood-red ice.
All of their attacks were strengthened with blood energy.
Sam even observed that blood was seeping out of their bodies and fused with elemental attacks. Sam only focused on evading because he could not find a gap. They are fast and well coordinated.
If it wasn't for the fact, he'd sooner he'd die.
Sam endured and dodged like crazy, he felt overwhelmed. He looked outside while waiting for his friends to come.
He felt that something was wrong as they should have arrived by now due to the amount of chaos he had made, but they did not, he activated his eye technique and looked around. He was stunned for a moment and almost got hit.
There was a formation around his house and it seemed like it was a high-level concealment formation.
It was at least made by a Pre-transcendent stage cultivator. And even for Sam, it took about an hour to destroy it. He started looking for formation discs. He was sure it was made that way because there were no transcendent stage cultivators in the enemy ranks.
But he couldn't find her. He now realized that he was not going to get any help from his friends and he stopped his steps and blocked the attack before taking a deep breath.
The only girl in the group was the one who was the most furious because she suffered so much with that one successful attack and she lunged at it with her palms outstretched. His nails were like the claws of an animal and could easily tear through its flesh.
The wall that collapsed by the attack was also negated. It did not stop there and the pieces of crystal shot towards him and tried to cut him into pieces.
They all move independently. When the girl jumped back and dodged as Sam once again moved, the red crystal scales all revolved around him.
These are mutant blood scales all those scales combined into Sam's new gadget.
This was a defensive and offensive tool he had created with a lot of research.
They are all individual things, but they can also connect according to his will and form different shapes. Just like how Sam managed to block the attack with a curtain.
Sam took out all the scales and ignored the other two scales as he completely focused on the girl.
The two men tried to attack from the side. But the scales are very slippery. They were not fast, but they stuck near Sam and every attack that came at him was blocked as the scales moved and formed a different shape. Occasionally, several scales were fired towards the two attackers as they approached and managed to make some injuries here and there.
Every time they punched the shield formed with scales, the scales simply collapsed and cut off their skin and arms and regrouped for the next attack.
The attack was insignificant at the beginning, but it must have been very disturbing.
While the scales kept the two of them busy, Sam only dealt with the girl. Now that she was alone even with her speed, Sam made her feel like a little girl hunted by a wild beast.
Sam attacked viciously, every attack aimed at a vital part. Even when he dodged, he could not avoid it completely.
There were some scars on his body that damaged his skin.
The light element seemed to be the curse of his existence.
And soon, he reached his last legs.
Sam increased his strength and stabbed the stick right in his chest as he let the light element run rampant.
The two vampires go crazy when they hit Sam. But Sam doesn't care. Scales really do their job right.
They're very useful.
The girl could stand it no longer and was sprawled on the ground as dark corrosive lines appeared all over her body and skin.
Sam didn't care much and just lunged back as he focused on one of the two men.
Scales are completely focused on the third person.
Now, they don't just hold on anymore. They circled around it at an incredible speed as they began to cut. His scar continued to grow and even the armor that the man was wearing was completely gone.
When they realized that the situation was worsening, they could not take it anymore and they took some tokens and destroyed them.
They turned into a puff of black smoke as one of them grabbed the girl and disappeared from the place.
The formation also disappeared as Sam saw a black puff of smoke that disappeared at night.
He immediately fell to the ground and his nose started bleeding. His fusion mode was disabled and the scales that came to him disappeared into storage.
Sam's new gadget is actually of a higher quality and stresses him out every time he uses it, which is why he doesn't leave it open.
This was actually due to some ridiculous mistake he made while making it.
He wanted to achieve this desired effect, this folding and assembling ability and at the same time, give them the ability to hover and attack, defend at the same time.
It all comes with a cost. But only after making it did he realize that he had overdone it. He bewitched spirits at every scale and built a spiritual imprint for each of them and even created a combined link for the spirits so that they could feel like a single entity.
He carved hundreds of inscriptions in miniature levels on all scales and fed countless spirits filled with soul energy to these spirits. He used many soul necromancy techniques and all of these spirits were connected to his mind.
There were about a hundred and twenty scales he used and he controlled a hundred and twenty spirits. If they were low-level spirits, the necessary effects would not be achieved, but the pressure would be reduced.
He should have let a low-grade spirit grow slowly, but he didn't do that. He only needed to increase his spirit power and now every time he used it, he would consume a large amount of mental strength which placed great pressure on his brain.
He slowly closed his eyes and went to sleep, but now before shooting out a fireball into the air with his final strength.
His friends who were at various ends of the city saw the signal and ran towards him.
When they see it still breathing and make sure there are no significant injuries. They moved her to a new house and let her sleep.
