Chapter 669. Situation Changed

Sam looked at the whole scene coldly. He even looked a little bored looking at the people who were clearly confused by the first hurdle he placed.

He had prepared many other things for them.

In the past two months, Sam has mostly made use of the river and dug so many underground channels to drain water throughout the city, and installed some new toys everywhere.

Most of them did not use inscriptions and formations, but rather were dangerous due to the mechanism itself within.

The mechanism was operated by spirits and they were all connected to the crystal table.

Sam uses extreme water flow. He and Chatur both make this design. Sam is responsible for activating anything connected to spiritual energy and Chatur is mostly tasked with moving around the city and attacking them after they break the first barrier.

Sam did set up some formations suitable for his teammates to fight, but they were not integrated with the environment, it was something that Sam would not leave in this place or sell to the dwarves.

They are personally made for his teammates so that they can use them when they are facing multiple enemies.

He used some of the tricks he learned while making his scales gadget in this formation. They are very helpful when fighting many enemies and are surrounded by them.

But from the looks of it, the preparations may be excessive.

These people could not even cross the first hurdle, let alone test the defenses of the other city.

But soon, the stalemate broke out as they used some undead humans to cross the line.

They used a flying beast and sent some people to the other side trying their best to avoid the torrent of water at the same time, the undead leaped into the thinner jets of water and protected their bodies, creating a small pause. Minotaurs jump over them in this interval and cross the water.

They only used other undead as meat shields as they defended against the bursts of water that were fired from the houses on both sides.

Even the shadow rats did their job here. Sam felt he was really working too hard for the dwarves' sake and just wished he could get something valuable in return.

The shadow did not attack the Minotaur. It used a syringe to directly pierce into the nape of the Minotaur making it pick up the poison and then put the disc attached to the Minotaur's body.

A black light appeared on the Minotaur as she wriggled in pain.

Soon, the Minotaur fell. But once that happened, the body once again moved. It turned into an undead and the Minotaur undead attacked his own comrades.

The shadow that disappeared earlier once again returned. It took advantage of the Minotaur being attacked and injected another shot at it and placed another disc on its body.

Another living corpse.

Another disturbance.

The enemy army immediately fell into chaos.

They painstakingly paid the price to cross the first hurdle but they were unable to escape the chaos completely.

The only thing they have is numbers. But the problem with those numbers is that they are not intelligent. They are stupid and vicious. They won't be able to pick it up by lying down when they are attacked.

They do that.

At this moment, a white-colored insect came out from its hiding.

They flew towards the fighting Minotaur and started biting them, sucking their life force and spiritual energy.

Three routes were blocked.

This left so much work for the flying beasts and the undead vampire servants on them along with some humans to do.

They started attacking the houses from above.

But at this moment, a spear flew through the air and pierced into the flying beast. Crossbows are back in business.

Sam had divided the city into three circles. The first is after they cross the water. They have to deal with water jets, undead, and Zoi termites.

The second ring was to be dealt with by the dwarf territory troops.

They would use the terrain advantage and some tricks Sam left them in the area to deal with the people there and there were some Sam formations that could help them heal and fight at the moment that same.

As for the latter, it was a ring for a Pre-transcendent stage cultivator.

Inside the second ring, the arrow gunner is mainly responsible for air defense and also to stop people from climbing up the house and moving faster.

They didn't attack people on the ground that much.

Sam simply waved his hand once more and the true power of the second ring was activated.

The water hit them again. There are small water canals on both sides of each street and Chatur uses the water to hit everyone. But his main target was the undead. Not many targets live in the area and they are being handled by the Dwarf forces. But the undead are the target of water jets and the Chatur attack.

And the reason is simple. Once the undead had a water attack, they started to malfunction. They were unable to move forward and their skin started to burn slightly. The death energy responsible for keeping them intact began to dissipate.

The water was full of excessive vitality and this was due to the healing formation that Sam laid.

If the water left the healing formation, it would not carry the same amount of vitality for a long time. But to shoot instantly, that was enough.

The ring's main purpose is to exterminate the undead army while the ring's first main purpose is to increase casualties and reduce the living forces.

The Minotaur began to fear.

They managed to enter through three ways and they drastically outnumbered their enemies, but they could only grimace upon seeing the victim.

But they can't back down. There's no turning back now. Even if they retreat, with these victims the dwarves will begin their invasion and the Minotaur will become extinct.

They were at the point of being unable to return from what they heard, even the Minotaur king was engaged in a battle with the Dwarf Council elders.

This is all-out war. That was the only reason, they were still pushing forward.
