The One in My Mind

Renjana Kanya's

My brain didn't want to stop thinking bad when Araz said that Son had an accident. Unnatural anxiety increases every time you hear about it. Especially when it comes to people around me. I must have recalled the events that had taken my father from beside me.

I can't forget how the news about that accident took me away forever. It was near midnight. I can't be shut down yet. January is still unable to rain. The atmosphere was very supportive to hear the news about death.

The phone in the middle room rings. Mama answered him, but the next second the woman screamed hysterically and made me immediately run towards the first floor. Before explaining what happened, the woman cried while holding me in her arms. Next he whispered if father had an accident and died on the spot. My knees were squeezing for a moment. I don't remember what happened next.

And now, the shadow has reappeared. Bad possibilities are always looming over me. What if the situation of the Son is severe enough? What if yesterday was the last day I talked to my son? Especially when Araz didn't tell me right away when he heard the news that Son was in an accident from Arlan.

I want to run to make sure everything is okay. I hope the people who evacuated Putra dexterously helped the man without having to capture him first, in order to be saved immediately. I really can't imagine losing.

From the moment I got to my destination, I was endlessly worried about how the man was doing. My finger was unceasingly tapping on the screen to send a message to Arlan. I want to know how the Son is doing immediately. Although Arlan said that if the doctor had handled the Son and there was nothing to worry about, it still made me unsettled.

Even tomorrow we plan BBQ together to celebrate the transfer of Putra from the Nada Sumbang basecamp to his new apartment. He had an accident first. Moreover, the typical son of people with high concentration while driving. How could he have an accident?

Anya

Lan, what is the condition of the Son? He's all right ‘kan?

He's not how about ‘kan?

My heart was agitated when Arlan did not reply to the message I sent. Bad thoughts again ambushed my mind. My hands trembled as I sent Arlan a message.

Anya

Lan, reply, how is the situation of the Son now? Is she okay?

Shortly after, my gawa shimmered. Arlan's contact name appears on the screen. I can't wait to read Arlan's message.

My Destiny ♥

He's okay, His. Don't panic, okay. I take care of everything here. I'm telling you to make sure that maybe he needs some quiet time.

Anya

So he was unconscious at which time to the hospital?

If I knew it was like that, then how could I not panic? As severe as the accident that the Son experienced until the man was unconscious when taken to the hospital. He always drives by car in Jakarta. While I know for sure, he will not bring a car with speed while on the road.

My Destiny ♥

Yes, the doctor is nanganin Putra now. It was also completed.

Anya

How did it happen anyway?

My Destiny ♥

I'll understand if you get here. Don't panic! The son will be fine. Believe me the same.

For the rest of the trip to the hospital I couldn't sit quietly next to Araz. The man forced me to drive. I can't resist it considering I can't possibly drive in a state of panic. Araz's presence can calm me down a little. Although the man was more silent and focused on the steering.

I ran first after Araz parked the car. My steps rushed to the IGD room without confirming whether the Son was still in the care of the doctor or had been transferred to the treatment room.

In a hurry, I uncovered the entire covering cloth in the IGD room to find the Son. But I found that man nowhere. The protesting gazes of nurses, doctors, even patients, looked at me dislikefully whenever I could not find the Son behind the curtain. Until Araz patted me on the shoulder and told me that the son had been moved to the treatment room.

Did I unconsciously make him angry? Or maybe disappointed by hitting it?

I even vaguely remember last night. He has so much concern for me by asking how my condition suddenly collapsed due to pain coming from the moon. But I snapped at him and asked him to shut up. Even again, I found my body on the bed when I woke up the next day. It must have been that guy who had moved my body to the bed. He was so patient with me.

Is it possible that he was really angry because I snapped at him when he didn't immediately tell him that Putra had an accident? Or does he assume that I still have feelings left for the Son?

Come to think of it, I've never told him when I made up with the ex who is now my brother. No longer as a person who used to share feelings, but as brothers who love each other. After this, I have to tell Araz about my relationship with the real Son.

Our move stopped in the nursery. I saw Arlan and a woman younger than me as I entered the VIP room with the full facilities. Other than the two of them, there was no one else.

Arlan stood up first. Then the woman named Vika - if I don't remember it wrong - followed Arlan's movements and let me approach the Son who seemed to be closing my eyes.

That moment I realized when I saw his condition. The son had not been in an accident, but violence. His face was scarred in several parts. Also the hands and some other visible body parts. Even his temple was like suffering a blunt object blow.

My anger's inflamed. I'm looking at Arlan to demand an explanation.

"This how can it be like this? Lan, who the hell is she fighting?"

The man was silent. He looked nervous at the question that suddenly popped from my lips. While Vika who was standing on the left side of the man's bed looked pale. His body trembled as I asked Arlan about the Son's apprehensive condition.

"Gue can be clear, you calm down first."

"Where can he calm down, bruised all his gini? How do you hide this from the media?"

"See, plis. It's my explanation first" said Arlan, trying to calm me down. He led me to sit on the sofa in the hospital room not far from where Araz was standing. "Him, you don't mind if..."

Arlan glanced at Araz. I know what that guy means. He thought I wouldn't be comfortable if Araz knew the story about the Son. After all, Araz will also know about my half-brother's situation soon.

"It's okay," I said.

"Lo inget Vika?" arlan asked making me look at Vika. What does this have to do with the same thing, Vika? My mind is in revolt if the Son sacrifices himself to save the woman. Whatever the reason. "Son nolongin Vika from his drunken father. That guy likes to hit and..."

Without waiting for Arlan's further explanation, I approached the woman who was now standing trembling.

"So you're the one who made Putra battered like gini? Lo manager Nada Sumbang, right, you should know how to keep your artist's valuable assets," amukku unable to control emotions.

From the beginning, I didn't like seeing that girl. It is clear that he intends to approach the Son. Even at the beginning of our meeting, the woman looked at me dislike when making up with the Son. And now, he's dragging his own artist in his family business.

"Sorry Mommy, I..."

"Where the hell do you work as a manager to make your artist battered like gini? Don't worry about your son caring about you, you can just ask him this and that."

"Him, stop" said Arlan preventing me from nearly slapping him.

"Why should you stop? He's already lukain his artist. He should be able to differ where personal affairs are equal to business affairs. How the hell are you, why can't you prevent Putra for business like this? You know how the Son is, Lan."

"Sori, I've been prevented, but you know for yourself 'how's the son?"

"Trus if I'm sure who wants responsibility?"

My emotions didn't dampen even though Araz held my hand.

"Him, plis. Let's get some fresh air first yuk."

"No, this has to be resolved immediately."

"So, this is a hospital. Son how can rest if you make a fuss here," he said to make me crumble. He took me to the hospital park to find some cooler air.
