Season 2 #The Surly Face

Araz's phone rings again. Shortly after the man ended a phone call from his grandfather. This time the old man used his own number to call the grandson.

Araz's face instantly turned grim. He was lazy to extend his debate with the grandfather.

He did not even intentionally pick up the phone call. However, the man's phone kept ringing and made him even more annoyed.

The call of the grandfather also made him stop approaching Kanya who now looks bored. The woman seemed uncomfortable sitting on a park bench. Even though shady trees shade it from the sunlight.

Well, maybe Kanya is getting bored, as a result of waiting for him who was too busy talking about unimportant things with his grandfather.

The man felt guilty. Especially when the discussion is being debated with the head of the Lee family, it is still related to the lover.

"Yourf..."

Araz took a deep breath. It felt like he was ignoring the call from the old man. But apparently, the grandfather did not know the word surrender. The old man kept calling the granddaughter whom he considered a dissident.

"Yes, Hal-abeoji?" araz replied in the end.

From the voice of the man, it was heard that he was not interested in continuing the conversation with the grandfather.

"This boy, how dare you hang up when parents haven't finished talking!" snapped the grandfather on the other end of the phone. Hard enough. Until Araz had to keep the phone away from his ear.

"Ne, Hal-abeoji. Joesonghabnida," said Araz, trying to humble himself.

Although the man was unsure of his Korean pronunciation. From the beginning, Araz never felt close to his mother's family. That also makes him lazy to learn the language of his ancestors from his mother's side.

Moreover, he did it not only because he was lazy to argue with the grandfather, but also did not want to be increasingly considered disrespectful to parents.

"Good, that should be what you do from the start talking to your parents. You should apologize for making a mistake. And, instead of refuting the parents' words."

Araz took a deep breath. Deliberately keep the phone away from the man's ear so that the grandfather does not hear his complaints.

"Ne, Hal-abeoji. Arasseu. Joesonghabnida." Araz repeated his apology with the intention that his conversation with his grandfather was over quickly.

In fact, it's not easy. The old man still continues to nag the most spoken in Korean. It was obvious that Araz did not understand the conversation.

However, he only answered 'ne', to please the grandfather.

Even as a result of the old man's death to the grandson, he forgot that Araz did not understand the language.

"So, do you want to keep him here?" ask the grandfather later.

"Yes?" The man stuttered. He had no idea what his grandfather had said before.

"Here you go, whatever I say, you still don't want to hear. It's up to you. If you want to ask her to see me, make sure you bring the right daughter-in-law.

Never dream of bringing a granddaughter-in-law who isn't worth it to you!" firmly the old man before ending his phone call.

"Ne" replied Araz briefly. And, the phone call just ended.

After receiving a voice call from the grandfather, Araz's face looked gloomy. It took a while for the man to neutralize his chaotic feelings.

Always, his chat with the grandfather, never ends well. Every time they chat, there must be something that triggers a fight.

"Yourf..."

I think Araz is dying to scream. He did not expect that the grandfather would greatly interfere in his personal affairs. Araz was uncomfortable.

"Where might I take Kanya to Korea if I think this is? The old man's attitude just made Kanya feel uncomfortable.

I could have captured the heart of that woman completely. Damnit damnit! This is all because of it, Cassandra!"

Araz complained in his heart. The man's mind was suddenly full.

The conversation with the grandfather still stuck in his mind and did not want to leave.

"Damn!" swear Araz while ruffling his hair to a mess.

The old man was completely different from the father's eyes. Which can always be a place for grandchildren to complain. Learning the meaning of life or just talking about trivial things that happen everyday.

The kakung never looked at anyone from how much treasure others had. Even as a pure Javanese, he never ordered Araz to weigh seeds, bebet, or weights in finding a partner.

"What matters is just one, he can make you comfortable. World affairs, you can search together. But the business of the heart, you can not give it to just anyone," said eyang kakung at that time.

Araz remembered the message of his paternal grandfather who had been taking care of him since childhood until the time he moved to Jakarta following his parents.

However, something different happens if Araz talks to the maternal grandfather.

Can not be denied, the family from his mother's side is quite distinguished in Gingseng Country. Their inherited wealth declined - and grew every year - leading them to become the ten wealthiest people in the country.

As one can imagine, with the abundance of family wealth surnamed Lee, make them have the upper hand.

It is completely different from the principle of Araz who has been educated hard since childhood.

"Yourfts...."

The man took a long breath. He rested his back on the back of the garden chair. Staring at the sunlight that broke through the gaps of the trees.

Letting his eyes shut for a moment and feeling the warmth of the sunlight at one noon. Even though it makes him a little dizzy. But, Araz sure sure, it was not the sun that made him dizzy, but his conversation with the grandfather.

Remembering that, he again let out a long breath. Even it felt like to meet Kanya, the man felt ashamed.

From where he was sitting at the moment, he noticed Kanya who was still alone. The woman did not seem to care about the situation around her. He enjoys people passing around the park.

Even the woman took the time to play with a small child who suddenly came up and hugged her knees.

With a bright face framed by a fractured smile, Kanya presented the invitation of the little boy who wanted to play balloons. Until the mother of the little boy came with a breath and took her away.

The smile did not fade from Kanya's face.

Araz is getting worse. The grandfather's words really made her feel a mess.

He was not brave enough to show his grim face in front of the lover.
