Season 2 #Promise the Past

The man was stunned when he heard Cassandra's confession. Araz's body froze. A moment later, he felt like he was being forcefully pulled back and as if passing through a passageway of time to the past decades.

One afternoon in December. By Christmas.

Araz's maternal extended family is welcoming Christmas Eve in a warm and loving atmosphere.

The man was twelve years old. It was the first time he had met a large family on his mother's side. It was also the first time Araz flew abroad using a plane with equipment filling his entire body. Just to keep him safe and comfortable.

Araz himself never thought if that day would fly to a country he had never known before.

For Araz, the furthest distance that can be reached on the way is only to Jakarta. However, that day he crossed the ocean, pierced through the clouds, crossed the borders of the country, and landed in the country nicknamed the Ginseng Country.

"Ah, Lee's family hero" said a middle-aged man who asked Araz to call him hal-abeoji.

Araz, who was not used to using the language used by his mother, followed the man with a fearful look. Tongue's cow. He can't speak.

Her mother and father were not with her at the time. They were engaged in warm talks with their mother's brothers and other relatives.

"You don't speak Korean? Didn't your mother teach you how to honor your ancestors?" the man's words made Araz even more confused.

However, from his tone, Araz knew for sure that the man was upset. He was angry because Araz was so different from the others.

Before long, the man who asked Araz to call her by the name of things-abeoji, left her alone. Araz is back alone. He felt strange in the middle of the festive atmosphere of Christmas Eve.

That was when a seven-year-old girl dressed in a cute red Christmas dress approached Araz.

"Oppa," called the little girl with a smile framing her face.

Araz's forehead is wrinkled. "What did you say?" the little man asked with a confused face.

"Ney? You don't speak Korean?" the girl's words were not understood by Araz at all.

"A, can you speak English?"

"Yes, I do."

"Perfects. If so, let's talk in English. Those fools, no one can speak English. Let them know the taste, how not good if not understand the talk of others," said the little girl with fluent English.

Araz was caught up in the making. He only, only fluent in English after stepping on Junior High. That means it was just a year ago. But, the little girl before him was already fluent in English not even eight years old.

Hearing the little girl's statement, Araz was comforted. A smile framed his face which always looked pale before undergoing the first surgery.

"What's your name?" ask Araz in the end. After he stopped laughing at the little girl's words.

"Oppa?"

"A, Oppa means.big brother in English."

"O.o..." Araz nodded his head after hearing the little girl's reply.

"My name is Alcatraz. But you can call me Araz."

"Wow... Amazingly. Oppa's name is like that famous prison!" Little Cassandra exclaimed with a pair of cute sparkling eyes.

"Haha.it seems that's the concept that Dad gave me."

"Daebak! Samchon is the coolest!"

The intimacy of the two continues. During Araz's stay at the grandfather's house, Cassandra was the one who accompanied the little man.

They often play together. Chat a lot of things, including about Araz's condition is not good and why the man had to use various tools on his body.

"Is that sick?" ask Cassandra one day.

"Yes, it hurts so much. But I can hold all this. The pain also lessens if I play with you."

"Oh really? If so, could I be the goddess of healing for Oppa?"

Araz laughing. Since childhood he has been taught to teach and read the Quran. She was hesitant how to tell Cassandra what she was talking about.

Therefore, Araz just laughed and answered briefly.

"Maybe."

"If so, we should get married!"

"Eh? Married married?" Araz asked as a result of not understanding. What does the girl's question have to do with suddenly getting married?

"Yes, of course married. People who bring good destiny in our lives, must be united in the promise of marriage," said Cassandra so enthusiastically.

Araz just laughed. Because he felt it was just a child's game, he also responded to Cassandra's words.

"Well, let's get married in the future." Araz said that phrase with the intention of joking.

However, who would have thought that sentence would backfire in his future life?!
