Menjana
After almost a day the Son daydreamed by the beach, the man decided to go home. A short message from Danu finally moved the man from his dreamy place. He started the car and left the Pantura area. There's a promise to be fulfilled tonight.
"Where do you come from? It's so good to go home," said Noah when the Son reached his grandfather's house.
His cousin happened to come home in the middle of his busy life as a psychiatric doctor or more commonly called a psychiatrist, in one of the hospitals in Surabaya. Usually Noah came home to make sure the state of the Son is fine. Because, when he decided to explore the science of psychology, the Son became the main object of observation. He became an expert who often handled the condition of the Son if at any time his cousin needed help.
Noah had not returned to his grandfather's house for a long time because the Son rarely complained about his condition. The beginning of the rift between Putra and Kanya two years ago, made Noah often go back and forth Surabaya-Tuban to make sure his cousin's sister did not do anything stupid. After a long time, though not fully recovered, Noah saw again the face of the Son two years ago. A tired face that was so frustrated.
Though in recent months, Noah often heard the news that his cousin was getting busy with Nada Sumbang. The latest news that he had heard, there is a fairly famous music label offering to record. Sometimes he also still monitors the situation of the Son from afar. Everything seems natural. There was nothing that made Noah have to worry. But now when he saw the condition of his cousin, Noah believes Putra is facing the crisis of his own life.
"When are you coming home, brother?" asked the Son indifferently while laying down his body on the sofa of the family room. While Noah sipped coffee from the cup he brought before answering Son's question.
"So afternoon. Grandpa says you're at Aunt Sukma's house again. Tumben's going there?" Before Putra gave an answer, Noah's gaze was fixed on the bruise on the corner of his cousin's lips. Even the bruise on the temple is still clearly visible. "Eh, why your face?"
"Std... That's why I went back there. If Grandpa finds out, he'll be pissed."
"Lo is weird. Who the hell is fighting?"
Instead of answering, the Son closed his eyes. Would sharing the complaint with Noah be useful now? Yes, all this time only Noah's the place to complain. Telling him not to fall into the increasingly winding and misleading labyrinth. After all, Kanya had already gone far away from herself. Again.
"Sister, what do you think I should do with Kanya?" the Son asked suddenly as silence enveloped them for a long time.
Noah who sat beside the Son straightened his back. He looked at the face of his cousin who was now increasingly upset. The man knew there was something the Son had hidden from him.
"Gue asked this as your cousin, Put. Did Kanya make you like this again?"
"Babak belur you mean? Lah ngak. Where we've been fighting like this."
"Lo knows what I mean, Put. Don't you have to sneeze."
The son breathed a long breath. It's free to hide something from Noah. Even if he let go of the psychiatrist frills during a conversation, the Son must not forget that the man who is five years older than him already knows everything about him.
"Yes, you're satisfied!" said Putra in the end after Noah looked at her full of probing. "He came home a few days ago. Sempet also came to the reunion, but did not want to go home at all. To Aunt Ambar's house I mean. I don't want to talk to you either. Don't talk, I'll just meet him, he won't."
"Trus, bruises on your face why?"
Silent son. He had no intention of answering Noah's question. The man did not want to miss the consultation session with Noah while his mind was in a state of chaos.
"Because it's possible, isn't it?"
Noah's question actually made Putra remember the woman more. Causing dizziness that suddenly strikes the head of the Son. The man pressed his temples in hopes of the dizziness in his head subsiding. Not that it decreases, but it becomes more when you remember the figure of a man who has left bruises on his face.
Hahh, but the Son can do what. The man realized that his nature yesterday was too excessive to hurt Kanya. He deserved to be beaten for that mistake. Yet...
Hufft... What else does the Son expect at this time?
In reality Kanya chooses to be happy with others and leaves her far behind? Is he willing? Of course not. The son would never be willing if Kanya left him alone in the puddle of the past. Because he's still there. Waiting for Kanya to return to him.
Had their destiny not been this complicated, they might now have been happy as a married couple. Had the Son granted Kanya's request to refuse Eka and Sukma's marriage together, she might still be by her side. Ah, too many suppositions, until the Son forgets that wondering is even more torturing his mind.
"Eh even bengong nih son," said Noah surprised the dreamy Son.
"He came home with a man. Maybe guy. I don't know what to do, brother."
Noah patted the Son's shoulder gently. "Lo himself wants it how the hell is the same Kanya?"
"I want him to stay the same, brother. I'm unfortunately real, not like the one that Eka accused. As if myself said that my love to Kanya is temporary, love monkey is. You yourself will know that I love her as a sister, sister, not a affection for a brother."
"So that's why I asked, how are you doing now? Two years, you guys stay away from each other. One runs, one chases after the shadow. Inner lo the sick, Son. Your physical body is weakened."
"We can't force ourselves to stay married. I just want our relationship to get better like it used to be. I just want him to forgive my mistakes. My selfishness. My attitude is not firm. I want to do a lot of things with Kanya, Sis."
"If you're still upset to see Kanya walk with another guy it means you can't afford to lose him."
"What am I supposed to do, brother? There's nothing I can do either, right? Kanya also used to not want when I was desperate to elope."
"Not that time either, Son. Duh, you still think to elope anyway?"
"If Kanya wants to follow me, I can do anything, sister. Including when she eloped."
"If I were Kanya, I wouldn't want to put."
"Why not want to?"
Noah took a long breath. It was fortunate that he had already stripped off his professional background before speaking to Son. If not, he must have violated the rules because it cornered the person he was talking to.
"Because women need a guardian when they get married. Don't you think about getting there?"
"Well, in the end I didn't have a choice. I just want our relationship to get better."
Finally the sighing of the Son flowed as well. His face looks upset. Even occasionally he snorted in the face of Noah's question. But there was a hint of relief that quietly infiltrated his heart after speaking to Noah despite not finding a solution yet.
"It just takes time. Kanya also needs a pause to heal her wound, Son. You can't force that."
"But when?"
"Until he knows the reason for going home without having to be forced on others. Not even lo, Aunt Sukma, or even Almira."
"So what should I do to make him apologize to me, brother?"
"Waiting time to heal the wound in Kanya's heart. Including the wounds in your heart. I'm sure it won't be long."
"How can you be sure?" son asked when he realized Noah was hiding something from him. The man only smiled before leaving the Son in the living room.
"Ntar lo will also know the answer. Oh yes, if you have moved to Jakarta, take it once twice to meet Kanya. I'm sure, he won't be an artist to avoid you."
"Kok you know?"
"The key is only sure, Son."
Noah's voice completely disappeared this time. Leaving behind the silence that now drowned the Son in daydreams. He even forgot his goal to return home after receiving a message from Danu, one of the personnel of Nada Sumbang.
