[S2] Chapter 6 Part 2

“What is this northern region that we have been heading to?”

Finally, we arrived at the place that had been the destination all along, but the place where we were now was a dead city with many ruins of buildings. Was there an earthquake that caused the collapse of a city? Yeah, that's the only possibility.

“Truly far from our shadow, but this is a bitter reality that inevitably has to be accepted.”

Slowly, Darwis walked towards one of the old buildings that seemed to be very fragile. He opened the entrance of the building slowly. Then, I turned my eyes, observing around in case danger lurked.

Just like me, Flicker is also getting more alert, considering this is a dead city, we don't know where the enemy is targeting. A moment later, Dervish waved his hand at us, then Flicker and I rushed towards him. However, the sound of gunfire suddenly echoed. I quickly ran towards a wall that was still standing upright, among the ruins of the city.

It seems that the attack was not aimed at us. Now, I can still breathe a sigh of relief. Again Dervish waved his hand, telling me and Flicker to follow him into the building immediately. Unwilling to argue, the two of us exchanged glances for a while, then walked closer towards Dervish.

Is an old building worthy of being used as a hiding place? I doubt that. However, the choice is still better than just staying in the remaining field of the ruins of the city. Yeah, at least I think so.

“Hm, are you sure we'll be safe there?” I asked Darwis who had walked into the building.

He stopped while glancing to and fro. “This is so much better than standing for no reason out there, right?”

I should have guessed that he must have said that phrase. However, never mind, I better just follow his orders as our leader. In addition, here is very quiet, even though a few moments ago there was a gunshot. Could it be a sign?

“Rather than keep thinking about that heavy load.” In the corner of the room, which has a ladder to reach to the top, Darwis is watching what is on the next floor. “Better you rest in peace. In order when you wake up later, your body is healthy as usual.”

Maybe he wants me to rest on body and mind, so that tomorrow, if there is a war, I can deal with it calmly. A pretty good suggestion. Ah, well, I will follow that advice in order to complete my revenge.

In another part of the room, Flicker was walking around like he was looking for something. During this time, he was the one who spoke the least. Maybe because he was too lazy to discuss with us, or did not want to spend his precious time and energy. Yeah, it's just my feeling.

Suddenly, an explosion destroyed the floor. I quickly ran outside to be safe. Then, several more explosions occurred, accompanied by gunshots coming from the other side of the building.

“Job!”

My hand grabbed the gun behind the clothes, a few shots I fired with the origin up so that my friends would not be hit. The walls of the building were destroyed, I rushed to find a place to hide among the destroyed walls. The gunshots never stopped, as far as the eye could see, only the flying dust could be seen.

“Where are they? I hope Flicker and Dervish are okay.”

Suddenly, a super-large explosion instantly shook the ground. I could not keep my body balanced until I finally fell to the ground. One by one the explosions re-echoed, but I did not know where the source of the explosions came from. Moreover, this situation is extremely unfavorable, because it looks like we are caught in another Clan battle.

I got up to my feet as I continued to be vigilant, eyes still glancing around where smoke and dust coagulated into one. However, a roar so loud, it replaced the sound of an explosion. My eardrum also seemed to want to break because of the sounds, but luckily both hands I use to close it.

“Mustahil ... why is it like this?” Both of my legs were squeezed, until I finally fell to my knees on the ground. The chest becomes increasingly tight along with the sweat that is pouring down the entire body.

Just with such a strong pressure, my body was instantly tired and limp. Is this what you call war? Even if just standing and observing around, an incredible pressure immediately suppressed the mental to make my body become like this because it forced the performance of the brain.

The blue sky was covered by black clouds, lightning bolts formed within those clouds, resulting in an explosion-like sound. As my eyes were still staring upwards, such a powerful lightning bolt instantly struck somewhere. Could this be because there is someone who is able to manipulate soul energy like Dervish said.

Before long, a fireball hit my body from behind, the heat instantly spread, the wall I was sheltering in was instantly smashed by me. I rolled around on the ground, and finally stopped because it hit a wall from the building that we had wanted to occupy.

My breath was so tight, my clothes were already burnt out along with the destruction of the rifle I threw on my back. My spine was so painful it was about to crumble, but fortunately it was able to hold on due to my sudden change in black form.

I haven't taken a breath yet, the ground suddenly shook and split into two. I tried my hardest to avoid the disaster, but failed because the ground sloped and the building collapsed.

“No! I don't want to die!” No matter how loud I scream, no one wants to bully.

The gun that was still in the clutches of my hands, I threw it in any place. Lightning strikes continued to appear from all directions, and the building and the rest of the ruins instantly fell with me into the abyss.

Entering in a desperate condition, my body also changed into a black figure. My right hand was raised, trying to reach the ground that was beginning to collapse. But unfortunately, the gravity of the earth brought me to continue into the abyss that I do not know how deep.
