The Dark Slayer's

The Dark Slayer's
Chapter 10 Part 3

The old grandfather who had been just acting silly now put on a serious face. He then walked to the right without using his long stick placed on the floor of the porch of the hut, where he lay some time ago. Putting his feet in silence, the grandfather did not care about the surroundings and continued walking.

Without having to wait for orders, the three of us directly tailed behind the old geezer. We walked far enough, and we arrived at the edge of the room. Along the wall, there were lanterns lined up shining down on where we were at the moment.

Still in a state of silence without speaking a word, the old man was fumbling against the wall formed from the yellow hard ground. Like a door, the wall pushed by the grandfather suddenly formed a rectangle and then shifted back.

Wind gusts quickly enter through the gap and send cold air in the body. It was dark, there was no sign the moon would shine. I turned around and walked towards Mischie's body which I laid down and then carried her on my back.

I slowly regrouped with two girls standing behind an old man. “So, are we going out?” ask them both.

Rias gave a quick glance at me then re-directed her gaze to the large gap that was in front of us. He seemed hesitant to make a decision, so I gave him a suggestion. “Maybe it will be better if we get out of here only,” I said.

“That's a bad idea, young man,” said the old man who heard my words. “Indeed, if you come out of this cave, there are many things you can see. However, the danger that is in front of you will also increase a lot.”

Hearing Grandfather's words, I thought of something. “If you never came out of this cave, how did you find food and build that old hut?”

The grandfather sighed then leaned against the wall. After being silent for a while, he finally spoke up. “That rickety hut is not mine. I can survive in this cave because during the day, although I know the forest out there is very dangerous, I desperately stay out to eat and drink,” he explained.

“We have encountered many dangers in this forest, so we are not too afraid to take risks,” said Lize as she walked towards the rectangular wall gap.

I exchanged glances with Rias and started tailing behind Lize. This self really did not guess the thought of the long black haired girl.

Sometime before Leon and the two girls who are with him, meet a wrinkled old geezer named Zanik. Inside a dark passageway and filled with a sweet fragrance, there appeared a thin young man with short hair who was adjusting his breath. She was Mischie who had just come out of her nightmare.

Sweat began to wash over the young man's body, his breathing was still unstable, and his heart was pounding. He stood up slowly then balanced his limp body. His head was so dizzy that it made his gaze slightly blurred and swayed.

The young man named Mischie walked slowly without knowing the direction because his eyes could not see inside this dark passage. Still in a state of silence, Mischie drags himself down a place unfamiliar to him.

Shortly after, the young man found a way out. A few steps ahead, he could see the view from the dark forest at night. With an excited heart, he moved his feet quickly towards the exit. However, upon his arrival at the destination, his legs stopped moving, his body stiffened and his eyes widened.

“Damn it, what creature is it?” Mischie continued to run until he finally arrived in front of a way out. The light from the lantern light instantly dazzled his gaze. However, after several falls, he finally felt relieved when he saw his friends gathered there.

“Leon ..!” Mischie was about to scream, but he fell down and his consciousness vanished like the wind.

At that time, Mischie's condition was very chaotic, he even fell several times to make his face bruised and he forgot his bag. However, as soon as Leon realizes something has fallen, Mischie's fate may be even better.

Back to the moment where Leon and his friends left the cave. The old grandfather named Zanik was looking at the three people with a flat gaze. A little later, Zanik smiled faintly, he stroked his face slowly to remove the thin mask that was stuck there.

That wrinkled and ugly face had now turned into the handsome face of a flat-faced young man. Leon, yes. He seems like an interesting person, thought the person named Zanik.

Zanik then took out a black pistol which he had hidden under his clothes. While glancing towards the gun, Zanik smirked, “a fun show is about to begin, Leon. As soon as you prepare yourself to face it.”

Arriving at Zanik in front of the old hut, he saw the figure of a young man with black hair, high stature, and wearing all-black clothes. Zanik calmly said to the man. “Have you come to watch me, Andrew?” ask Zanik.

The young man called Andrew was staring fixedly at Zanik who was releasing his hair and fake beard. Waiting after Zanik finished releasing all his disguises, Andrew said, “ya, that's right.” Andrew acknowledged. “I came here to watch over you. And yes, you did a good job.”

“It's good to hear your praise,” replied Zanik in a flat tone. “But ...” Zanik then pointed the tip of his gun at Andrew. “I'm not afraid of you at all, Andrew.”

“Heh ... is that so?” Andrew drew his face closer to the end of Zanik's gun. “You know that I won't die just because of this little thing.”

“Cih!” Zanik pulled back his gun by force and put it under his clothes. “Basic Monster.”

“Good son,” said Andrew as he passed.

Meanwhile, in a dark, lush forest, four teenagers were sitting under a large tree. They looked tired and so frustrated because they had experienced many strange events during this time.
