Chapter 8 part 1

Accepting the situation with resignation, I relaxed this body leaning on a tree while enjoying the beauty of space decorated with thousands of stars. The scene disappeared in an instant as black clouds stretched along the sky I was looking at. I stood up as soon as I realized it.

“It looks like rain will fall.” Went around to find some shade.

The black color is so dense that it is visible to these eyes. Even so, I can still see even vaguely. For a moment I fell silent, then stepped forward aimlessly. However, I continued on without knowing the direction.

Moments after walking, my feet suddenly felt cold as if they were soaked in water. Ignoring that, I casually continued the journey. But, all of a sudden I fell in the mud pool to make this body wet and dirty.

“Hoeks ...” I spewed out a little mud that went into my mouth out of disgust. “Sialan .. since when this pool was here.” I got upset I came out of the mud.

I took off the dirty clothes and walked back with caution to find the nearest river. Along the way, my mouth never stopped complaining until it made my throat feel dry. Even though I know that, I still complain.

“Argh ... My throat is dry.”

After a long journey, my eyes still did not see any rivers around. Suddenly the rain fell until it finally became increasingly heavy. In response to that, I just continued to stand up to let myself get wet so that my body was clean.

A few minutes later, my body and clothes were clean, though not entirely clean. However, starting from here I feel the cold temperature penetrated all over the body to make myself stiff.

I tremble because the cold temperature is getting worse. While wearing wet clothes, I set my feet through the torrent of rain in the hope of finding shelter. Holding back my trembling legs, I finally found a cave. Without a second thought, I entered the cave to avoid the rain.

Not wanting to go too deep, I sat cross-legged not far from the cave exit. The dark and silent atmosphere was so pronounced, no sound was heard other than the heavy rain. In that state, I once again removed the wet clothes so that my body would not feel the excessive cold temperature.

Staring at the rain while hugging my body, I somehow felt a nostalgia from here. This is very strange, because as I recall, now is the first time I have ever stared at the rain in the cave like now.

“When will this rain stop?” Of course I'm moody.

To be honest, I really want to have a friend in a situation like this. But ill-fated, I really could not realize that desire.

I took a breath, already resigned to accept the fact that I was lonely like someone who was not noticed. I snorted in anger because the rain did not stop either.

Cracks!

I turned my eyes back when I heard that voice. “Who's there?” I said with a slight increase in the volume of the sound.

Silence, I really could not feel the presence of someone there. I stood up just in case there was a surprise attack. “Hei!” The screams echoed in the cave.

Goddamnit! Who's this shitty guy?

Slowly retreating to get away safely, my body was wet again from the rain. Suddenly, a voice echoed to make me stop stepping.

“Wait!” people from inside the cave.

Huh huh? Am I dreaming?

“Why did you go?” His voice was so gentle, as if adding warmth in a cold atmosphere.

“Ah ti-no i-tu ..” I was a little embarrassed for being too alert. Not wanting to linger drenched by the rain, I immediately rushed into the cave.

“Why you?” The girl returned to her arms while tilting her head.

This girl is so innocent? Was he just pretending? Ah, that's impossible, because the look in his eyes doesn't look like he's hiding something.

Stop thinking about all that, I finally replied, “Ah, it's okay.” I put a warm smile on my face to calm the girl down.

The girl returned my smile. “My name is Rias!” He also stuck his right hand on me. “What's your name?”

I welcome that hand. “I'm Leon, greetings.”

Smiling at each other, we let go of the handshake between us. “Mm .. By the way, why are you here?”

The girl seemed to be thinking and remembering. “Actually I don't know why I'm here either. My memory feels empty and can't remember anything before this,”.

I was a little surprised when I heard his explanation. Seeing me like that, Rias again asked, “What's wrong?”

Surprisingly, he was still very calm after explaining the situation to me. I don't know why I feel weird being surprised here. “I-it is not .. how do I explain it, huh? Mm ... the obvious .. it seems our situation is not much different.”

“Then, you can also see in the dark room ‘kan?”

“Eh?” I looked at the astonishment. “Eeehhh!!”

“You why the hell?” Rias raised her eyebrows again.

I knew he was so astonished to see my behavior, but how else, I was indeed shocked to death by his innocence. I sighed to calm my mind, then said, “Tell me if your ability is special, not everyone can get it here. And I am one of those not special people.”

“Oh,” respond to the girl with a flat tone and expression. He doesn't seem interested in my condition or his condition which is obviously special. If I can be honest, it's really annoying for me who wants to be special but can't.

Ignoring all the turbulent feelings, I sat cross-legged and leaned against the cave wall. A while later, Rias sat to my right without speaking a word. And now, I'm not alone anymore because there's a girl near me.

Even though I am not alone now, it is still quiet as before. For a moment I glanced at Rias, and what I saw was an expressionless flat face. It made me not ask her to talk.

For a moment I breathed a heavy sigh because there was nothing to take away this boredom.

“Mm .. You stink,” said the girl next to me while moving away.

“Hiks, this girl is too honest,” my teary-eyed murmur.
