[S3] Part 2: The Return of the Hunter (Chapter 16)

The scorching sun was so stinging, sweat washed away the bodies of 3 teenagers who were now walking towards an old building. In the front row, Leon stepped foot continuously moving against fatigue. This is the third day since Leon, Sun, and Sasa left the city.

With a breath of breath, the three of them continued forward until they finally arrived in front of the old unused building. Without waiting any longer, led by Leon the three entered the building. Finally Leon can breathe a sigh of relief after facing the hot sun during the day.

The wind out there is blowing like dust. Slowly Leon got up then gazed into the crack of the building to see the situation. As far as his eyes could see, only the expanse of the city was dead without any inhabitants.

For a while, nothing special was seen until Leon almost sat back down. However, faintly visible by his eyes a black-robed person fell to the ground.

Soon Leon ran, to the point that two of his friends were shouting simultaneously, “Leon!”

Not listening to the cries of his two friends, Leon quickly ran over to the black-robed figure earlier. He got there, then lifted the cloaked figure over his shoulder and ran back.

“Hei! Where have you been?” The first one to yell at Leon was Sun.

“I saw it fall there.” Leon dropped the robed man to the floor.

Behind the black hood that covered the face of the figure, there was the plain face of a girl. Leon calls Sasa for help, “Sasa! Bring him water and take care of him!”

“Alright!” Moving as fast as possible, Sasa gave a bottle of water to drink by the black-robed girl earlier.

“You're sure he's not a spy, Leon?” In a flat tone, that stupid question was thrown by Sun.

Leon woke up and looked Sun in the eye. “She's just a little girl, Sun. If you don't like me saving him, if one day he does something bad, I'll grant whatever you want.”

“You didn't just guarantee it with your life?”

“My life is worthless to snatch. But, maybe my normalcy is much more tempting for you.”

Although Leon was actually a little familiar with Sun, they still often differ in opinion to make a debate. Leon went further into the building while observing around.

For some reason, he was bored on this trip. Have all the interesting events passed?

Leon took a long breath. Suddenly a loud scream came from behind him. The young man immediately turned around and ran towards the source of the voice.

“Fucking leon! Look what you saved!” Sun made fire protectors for himself as well as Sasa.

“Who are you?” shouted the girl out loud. There was a bunch of colorless pure energy gathered nearby and formed a protector.

“Ellise small ..?” The words were thrown reflexively in Leon's mouth.

Oi! In Leon's subconscious, Ellise looks fiery about to burn Leon alive. Did you forget I was here?

In an instant, cold sweat poured down Leon's forehead. Ehehc ....

In front of her, the little blonde girl displayed a facial expression filled with confidence. The pressure of the surrounding forces increased rapidly until Sun and Sasa had a little trouble dealing with it. However, Leon was different, the young man was able to move freely despite the intense pressure.

“Hey, little girl ...” With a warm smile Leon reached out to the girl. “Do not be afraid, we are not bad people.”

For some reason, Leon feels himself with the girl has a bond. However, he still could not remember or confirm the truth. The only person who knew about her past, Ellise was still as silent as locking her mouth tight.

Feeling the same as Leon, the little girl lowered her guard and grabbed Leon's hand. “You are exactly who?” ask the little girl.

“Leonal ...,” replied Leon slowly.

The little girl slightly flinched, then immediately showed a slightly surprised expression on her face. “Leonal ...”

“That's me.” Leon smiled, and the girl actually lowered her vigilance to zero.

“I Ni.” The little girl showed a smile that was no less wide than Leon.

“Greetings, Ni.”

The two shook hands for a while.

“Ekhm!” Sun cleared his throat and made Leon flinch.

Leon released a handshake and looked at Sasa and Sun and looked back at Ni. “Ni, they are my friends, Sun and Sasa.”

“Halo! I'm Ni!” Ni greeted while waving his hand.

Leon still does not understand what the bond is with Ni, but one thing is certain, he feels close to this little girl.

Same with Leon, deep down, Ni felt that Leon was the person he had been looking for. There were already many places he had explored, and now he felt he had found his purpose.

Plain boy yes .... With an unfriendly face, the sentence was thrown from Ellise's mouth.

Leon who was now inside the Subconscious Realm could not help but turn to look at Ellise's face directly. The feathers immediately bristled.

But ... somehow I feel there's something in that kid. Suddenly Ellise changed the subject.

Finally now Leon can breathe a sigh of relief because of this. Do you really not know anything about him? Of course Leon can't just throw off the suspicion that Ellise is hiding something.

“Little girl, why are you traveling alone?” Sun took steps to interrogate.

“I'm looking for someone. But never found it.”

“Who?”
