Chapter 3 part 2

The warm temperature enveloped my body, the pain I felt was now improving. I slowly opened my eyes, and soon the sunlight made her glare.

I closed my eyes, rubbed my face with my right hand. After that, I tried to open my eyes and adjust things.

Slowly, I stood up, balancing the body so as not to fall. The view was still circling, the head became dizzy. After a while, my condition became more stable.

I walked towards a large hollow tree on the left while enduring the hunger. Once there, I immediately stuck my right hand into the hole.

“Eh? What is this?” I said as I held what was in the hole of the tree.

The object has a chewy texture, ring, and has a rough surface. I pulled that thing out of the hole.

As soon as this hand came out, I immediately took a few steps back and threw away what I was holding. It turned out to be a black snake with white spots all over its body.

The snake was wriggling on the ground. Without waiting any longer, I immediately ran away from there. However, I suddenly heard the sound of hissing approaching.

When I glanced back, I could clearly see that the snake was chasing. Soon I turned my eyes and increased my speed.

“Sssh.” That hissing sound once again echoed in my ear.

Without even glancing back, I increased the speed. “Argh, Mom! Help me!”

Running down the ridge, I don't care what's ahead. Everything I hit flat, be it bushes, piles of dry leaves, and twigs.

“What the hell is this fucking forest! Mama, please!”

For so long running, my breath became unfazed, my chest became tight. I took a step, stuck to a tree, then leaned against it.

While leaning, I put my hands on my chest while breathing. Sweat all over the body, legs cramp. Fortunately, however, the snake was unable to catch up to me.

“Sssh.”

Suddenly the annoying voice sounded again. This time I was really unlucky.

Heart rate increased as the bushes near me swayed. A moment later, there was another sound that could give me goosebumps when I heard it. The sound was hissing and quivering, the longer the hiss was heard so clearly by the ears.

Ah, I'm dead.

Actually I really want to run, but these legs are really heavy to lift. My hair once again goosebumps, as the hiss sounds closer.

Oh, my God, how is this? What am I supposed to do? Mama, help me!

My feet were shaking, the warm water finally wetting my pants. My mind was also very chaotic and increasingly panicked.

From inside the bushes, an animal came out while hissing. The animal crept with a zigzag, heading towards me.

The breathing was fast, and the body was getting attached to the tree trunk where I was leaning.

Lothawat! Lothawat! Lothawat!

“Hush .. hush .... Just go! Just go! Go!” I said as I waved my hand to drive the snake away.

Not heeding the order, the snake approached me. However, before he could get close, a sword slid through the body of the snake, stuck it on the ground.

The serpent wriggled around the sword that wounded him. Blood flowed from his scar, washing away the sword stuck in his body.

The sound of footsteps and twigs being broken from being stepped on, was getting closer and closer from my back. Soon, a young man of not so tall stature, with short black hair, his chest wrapped in bandages, appeared from there.

The young man walked past me, picking up a piece of wood not far from me using his right hand. He then brought the piece of wood towards the snake and started beating the snake's head.

Moments later, the young man stopped hitting, taking back his sword with his right hand after throwing away the piece of wood in his hand. While the snake he hit earlier was already headless and lying dead.

The young man turned around, looking at me while covering his nose. “You pissed in pants, huh?”

It felt like I wanted to beat up this young man so badly, but somehow I became embarrassed when he told me that.

The young man lowered his head, his body trembled, and his left hand covered his mouth. A small laugh could be heard from his mouth. Then while trying to hold back the laughter, the young man said again. “So so, yes ...” His body was trembling. “It turns out you're afraid of snakes.”

Damn, he just pisses me off. I think I should remind him of one thing.

“Hei! Stop that! Don't you remember that you owe me your life?”

“Alright ... pfft .. alright, alright.”

I sighed and reluctantly let the young man's ridicule pass by.

“Oh yes, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Leon,” I said to shift the subject.

The young man re-enforced his head, then approached while extending a hand. “My name is Mischievous Neophyte.”

Without welcoming her outstretched hand, I looked at the young man in wonder. “Mischie— what was your name?”

He pulled back his hand and said with a slight annoyance, “Mischie-vous Neo-phyte.”

“Eh? What's the name of the noble? Could it be that in this forest there is a kingdom and you are the lost prince?”

“He, he, he. You must be envious because I have a good name.” He said it arrogantly and arrogantly.

“Cih,” I said as I spit, “who would envy the name of a prince from a monkey kingdom like you?”

“What did you say?” he snapped in annoyance when I ridiculed him blatantly.

When I was about to come back to mock him, I accidentally saw a black snake tattoo on the left arm of the young man.

“Has the tattoo been there since yesterday, Mischie?” In wonder I pointed at Mischie's left arm.

“I told you, if my name is Mischievous!”

“Alright, alright.”

Mischie then glanced at his right arm and muttered, “Eh? Since when do I have tattoos like this?”

“You're kidding? Though it is your own arm, but why did you not know that there is a tattoo?”

Mischie then turned his gaze towards my left arm. “Didn't you have it too.”

“Huh? What do you mean?”

When I glanced at my left arm, my eyes opened wide and my mouth opened. “Do I have a tattoo like this?” Of course I was very surprised when I saw a black snake tattoo stuck to my arm.

“Kukuku. You kidding? Though it is your own arm, but why did you not know that there is a tattoo?” Mischie sneered using my words on her a moment ago.

Before I could answer, the ground suddenly shook to make me move so as not to lose balance. A while later, the tremors stopped, as my eyes glanced forward, my heart beat immediately thumped, and subconsciously my legs had stepped back.

“What else is this?”
