The Dark Slayer's

The Dark Slayer's
Chapter 1: The Beginning

My head was so dizzy, both hands kept massaging him so as not to hurt anymore. Like I was restarting a data, my memory of those who were always with me, suddenly disappeared. Only a variety of objects and foods remain in memory.

The pain disappeared after a while, the chest felt so tight, and sweat soaked all over the body. Eyes open, the view from the shady trees, can now be seen clearly.

“Where am I?” I flinched and jumped backwards, while eyes still glanced to and fro. “I-This ..”

Once again the head aches, then another memory. “My name, Leon,” I muttered softly, “Leonal ...”

Then another memory came. “I'm not alone?” To be sure, I was even surprised when my mouth uttered that sentence.

Suddenly, the voice of the person asking for help echoed within the ear. I rushed to find the source of the voice, and finally found a young man with a body not too high, gray-haired, tied to a tree. The young man fell silent and fixed his feet without being able to say anything after looking at me.

He's a little bit smiling. “Hei, Leon. Can you help me untie this?”

My mouth was wide open, I gawked as he mentioned my name.

“Why are you so surprised?”

How could I not be surprised when a person I do not know, mentions my name correctly.

No, wait. Is it possible that he was the one who brought me here? Or someone who was trapped in this forest also without knowing anything. But all of that seems illogical. Could it be that he just mentioned the name randomly and happened to be my name? Ah, you better confirm it directly.

“How do you know who I am?”

The young man tilted his head. “Remove this bond, then I will answer.”

You sly fox, he deliberately took advantage of the circumstances.

“Good.” I'm pissed off. “Before that, tell me what your name is?”

“My name, Wolf.”

I stepped closer to the young man named Wolf without wanting to speak again. The rope wrapped around his body, one by one I began to take off, until finally he was free.

“Hey, where are you going?” I then shouted when I saw Wolf, walking towards the bushes.

Shit, does he want to just leave after I save him? However, shortly before I caught up with him, Wolf came while carrying a large black bag.

“Just relax, I can't leave you.” He opened the bag and took a bottle of water from there. “This, take.”

My right hand lifted, taking out a bottle of Wolf-given water. I feel bad for having been so bad to this young man.

“Already, no need to think,” Wolf said as he sat leaning under a tree.

“Ya, alright.”

I could just follow and sit there. The atmosphere was so quiet, the sun also began to lean toward the west, and emit orange-colored light. Suddenly, I remembered something.

“So, what's your answer?”

Without further explanation, he understood what I meant.

“Kurasa, next time we just discuss it.”

You liar, he really didn't want me to know the secret he was holding. In fact, that information would definitely be of great use to me. Despite arguing for a long time, the young man kept his mouth shut and would not answer. I was tired and fell asleep under a tree.

That night, we slept under a tree so soundly that we could wake up fit on this sunny morning. Morning dew feels soothing, fresh air is very comfortable when inhaled.

When the sun started high, Wolf and I went our separate ways to find what we needed. While searching, I saw a bow, complete with five arrows, lying just by the tree. Immediately my feet stepped forward, then took the thing.

"It still looks good, it looks like I'm in luck."

I finally rushed to find Wolf. Seen from a distance not so far away, the young man was standing staring at the trees.

“Hei!”

Wolf slightly jumped when he heard my call. “What's up?”

“I found this.” One set of archery earlier, I handed it to Wolf.

“This ...” He looked a little gloomy looking at the thing.

Was there something that bothered him when he saw this bow?

“Where did you get it?”

“Not far, just around here.”

Wolf breathed a heavy sigh. “Everything will start soon.”

“What will start soon?”

“So, why can we be here now?”

“That's because ..” He became a little doubtful. “I don't know either, hehe.”

This guy just keeps fooling me. Ah, whatever, I don't care.

After a long conversation, we finally went hunting armed with an arrow. As time passed, Wolf was able to shoot a deer dead, then take it to the riverbank to be cleaned.

The young man unpacked his black bag, and took out a short knife and a box of matches that he gave me. I rushed to find a wooden branch, then burned it so I could bake the antelope.

Finished doing the job from Wolf, I went to see him. It was seen that he was preparing to split open the stomach of a deer. My eyes were wide open as Wolf pulled out a gun and a small box of bullets from inside the animal.

“Looks, we don't have much time,” muttered Wolf, slowly, while cleaning up the remnants of blood attached to the gun and a box of bullets earlier.

This is really annoying. His words I cannot understand.

After eating the food, we walked down the path between the trees. Accidentally, my eyes saw the figure of a girl lying under a tree. I told Wolf to stop then approach the long black haired girl, slowly.

My right hand stretched out, touching the girl's forehead. “The body is very hot.”

“Put this on top of his head!” Wolf thrust out a piece of wet cloth.

I put the thing on the girl's forehead, then turned my eyes towards Wolf. “Will he be okay?”

“Come,” replied Wolf, indifferently, while leaving us.

Soon this look turned towards the girl. For some reason, a warm feeling immediately enveloped my heart, I seemed to have known this girl, but did not know where.

“Maybe I should look for something to be her dish when sober.”

While glancing over here and there, my eyes briefly saw a large hole in one of the trees. Curious about what was inside, his right hand grabbed something there. I immediately flinch, not believing it's real. It turned out that I had managed to find a piece of bread without having to bother.

As soon as I went around and asked Wolf for a bottle of water, I went back to the girl. Seen by me he was awake and leaning under a tree. The footsteps get faster and the heart becomes relieved.

“Hei!” I greeted the girl.

He looked around, it could be seen that he was confused. However, I salute her for her calm nature.

“Where am I?”

“I also don't know where we are, but don't worry about it.” A loaf of bread and a bottle of water, I thrust it at him. “Take it, lest you faint from hunger.”

“Thank you.” He took the bread in my hand, then started eating it.

“Nby the way ...”

“Hm?” The girl turned her eyes on me.

“What's your name?”

“I'm Ellise.”

The girl who called herself Ellise was still eating voraciously. I was stunned to see the sweet look on her face while chewing.

Ellise suddenly stopped chewing, then turned to me. “Are you hungry too?”

God, I unconsciously stared at him for too long. My right hand scratched the head that was not itchy. “Bu-bu-not so, it's just .. how do I say it. That's .. mm, I'm not hungry right now.”

It's a shame, I can't even speak normally. Ellise laughed a little at my silly behavior earlier. He then said, “What's your name?”

“My name, Leon. Nice to meet you, Ellise.”

“It's nice to meet you too, Leon.”

In an instant, the awkward atmosphere turned to be relaxed. We started joking around and talking about a lot of things.

“Wire!” I stood up when I heard that call.

Wolf came from the front with a breath of breath after running.

“Hey, calm yourself!” I tried to calm down the Wolf who looked panicked.

“August ... Leon.” His words were interrupted by the breath. “I found our friend.” Wolf immediately laughed after saying that.

Damn, he tricked me. It seems I have to give him a valuable lesson so as not to dare to play me again.
