It was a very cold day at dawn, which was when we stayed under the tree for a moment to wait for Flicker to wake up. Darwis said Flicker's condition was not bad, he only needed a moment to be able to recover his lost power. Maybe the case is the same as I used to be, when I first used a change of form.
Ah, whatever. I stood up, stretched my muscles and glanced to and fro. There was no threat around, so we could rest in peace here without any intruders.
After stretching, I sat back down on the tree trunk. My legs are bent, and my eyes are still alert because I can't sleep anymore. Very troublesome, after facing danger, my drowsiness disappeared without rest. However, the whole body is very tired.

The sun began to rise from the eastern horizon, emitting its warm light into our bodies. I got up, took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly. The freshness of the air in the morning is so pronounced, even though my body is actually not really fit right now.
When glancing to the right side, I could see the figure of Flicker sitting with his legs bent, and glare around. I approached the young man, then sat down next to him.
“How are you doing?”
Flicker was silent, unwilling to answer a simple question from me. Is he still thinking about what happened last night?
Before I could say, Flicker first interjected, “Are we safe?”
“Yes, it should be.”
Suddenly, Dervish approached us from behind. “Come go!” bring him.
Flicker and I stood up and walked behind Dervish without protesting. Actually, I really want to know what's in the north. Is it a hilly area, or a coastal area? I don't know, nobody knows. However, to be sure, the north is a safe region, because so far, the danger has always come from the south.
“Actually, what happened to me last night?” Flicker hesitantly asked the question. His eyes continued to look down.
I smiled a little at him. “Don't you remember that you were the one who saved me?”
“Not ...” Flicker looked at both of his hands. “All I remember is my anger towards the lions .. nothing else.”
Same case as I was at the time. Everyone who evolves first, always experiences the same thing. Perhaps this is the result of the formation of a new cell. It could be like that, but I don't know. I can only guess without knowing how to prove it.
Dervish suddenly stopped, he looked around like he was looking for something. I also be on the lookout, in case there is danger hiding and prepare to ambush. It is likely that there is a danger, but the problem is that we do not know where the danger is.
Slowly, Dervish walked back, I heaved a sigh of relief because nothing had happened. Meanwhile, Flicker had just been silent, not reacting in the slightest to our current state.
“Come continue the journey.” I immediately stepped forward after taking Flicker along. The young man walked next to me.
Step by step we take. In front there is a river wide enough, but there are many rocks to stand so that it can get to the other side. We also took turns crossing the river without any problems, until finally we reached the edge.
The sun was so stinging, our bodies were tired from walking. Then we decided to take shelter under a shady tree. Apparently, there was no danger around, so the three of us could rest in peace.
“Looks, soon we will arrive at the destination,” Darwis muttered softly, staring at the cloudless blue sky, while leaning on a tree.
“Maybe ...” I returned the mutterings.
“Everyone hopes so.” I stood up and walked around looking for fruit all around us.
Notably, after wandering around for some time, I was able to find a fruitful apple tree. I picked some fruit, then took it back to where Flicker and Dervish were.
“Capture!” I threw an apple at Darwis. Quickly, Darwis caught the apple, then started eating it without saying anything.
At least thank me.
I sat down next to Flicker, and gave some apples to the young man. He took it while thanking, unlike Darwis who just kept silent even though he was given food for free.
“Only a few apples, it seems like it will not be enough,” I said, while soaring some apples on hand.
“Indeed,” says Dervish, “But if we are normal humans in general.”
All right, I get it. We are humans who are no longer human, so we are called a rare species. However, I am not sure if humans who have evolved are rare or rarely encountered. Moreover, there is still Andrew who has not shown his true ability.
“At the moment we continue the journey.” Dervish immediately stood up, followed by me and Flicker.
We ended up going on a long journey through bushes, roadways filled with obstructions, and also mud. Not strange, because the weather is rainy season. It doesn't matter, as long as it's not a snowstorm.
Breaking through the broken bamboo pile and blocking the path, the three of us arrived at a very large field. Given this place is a mysterious forest that is so terrible, this field with short grass must be a land to eat by some animals such as goats and cows. And just as I thought, on the other side of the field, there were some cows lying under a tree to shelter.
On the ground, the weather was very hot, so it was appropriate that they took shelter. However, sometimes these cows will find shade, not far from rivers, lakes, or other places that have water. All I know is that way. It turns out true said people, the knowledge we receive will continue to stick, until the end of life.
I let out a heavy sigh, just as I thought, as we walked around the field, there was a ditch filled with water. The water there is also clean.
“Why don't we directly walk the cut in the middle of the field alone?” flicker asked, confused because Dervish instead led us around the field to reach the other side of the field.
Without turning back, Darwis replied, “It would be dangerous if we walked in the middle of the field at this time.” He paused his sentence. “You know why?”
Simultaneously, Flicker and I shook their heads. “No idea,” replied Flicker.
“When you see an enemy from a faraway place, and your enemy is very careless, what are you going to do?”
“Of course finish him with one attack.”
“That's what will happen if we walk cutting past the field.”
“Oh, I understand.”
In conclusion, walking in the middle of the field would only increase our risk of being killed. It could have been a reliable shooter killing all three of us in a matter of seconds.
