The three of us walked through the forest, until we finally found a settlement surrounded by a wooden fence. Between the rows of wooden fences, there is an entrance, but guarded by two guards. One of them was a tall young man in black and curly hair. While the other one, a short youth with disheveled hair.
Wolf led us closer to them. With him casually about to enter the settlement. However, the two guards stopped him.
“Who are you?” ask the curly-haired guard, stop Wolf.
“Hey, relax! We just sprawled here. So automatically, we are your new comrades. Isn't that right?” Wolf tried to convince them.
The two guards looked at each other for a while, then the kinky-haired guard replied, “Alright, you guys can come in. But if you are spies, then prepare to die.”
“Ya, it's up to you guys.” Without lingering Wolf barged into the settlement.
The settlement we entered was a simple neighborhood. The houses here are still made of wood and shaped huts like primitive people.
Going further in, we found a hut with a size larger than the others. Wolf went into the hut without excuse.
Ellise and I exchanged glances while standing in front of the hut. A while later, there was a commotion from inside the hut. At the same time, Wolf floated out from there.
Without any pause, a burly middle-aged man, putting on an annoyed look, walked out of the hut as well. The man walked up to Wolf— who was lying with a pale face and then looked at him while ringing his fingers.
Wolf straightened his body while raising both hands then retreated slowly. However, the middle-aged man paid no heed to the surrender marks of the Wolf.
As the man got closer to Wolf, Ellise suddenly stood in front of him while stretching out both hands.
The man put on a ferocious face. “Soaring!”
Ellise shook her head to respond. “Can't! You can't hurt my friend.”
The man behaved nonchalantly and walked up to almost bumping into Ellise. Not yet had the man go further, another man who has a tall body, then holds the shoulder of the man earlier to make him turn to the back.
The atmosphere became silent, the middle-aged man sighed, reluctantly letting the trouble Wolf was making, pass him by.
“Alright, Roman. I'll let it go this time,” the man said to the person who stopped him while returning to the hut.
“Come, next time don't be like this, Eric,” replied the man named Roman, smiling.
Roman reached out to help Wolf stand up. The gesture was welcomed by Wolf, but his face was still pale from the incident.
“Please forgive my friend's actions earlier,” Roman spoke as gently as possible.
In response, Wolf nodded several times, then removed his hand from Roman's. Then I approached them immediately.
“Are you okay?” I asked Wolf.
Wolf raised his bowed head, setting his breath slowly to calm down.
“Yes, I'm fine,” replied Wolf, flat.
I turned my eyes to Ellise. “How about you, Ellise?”
Ellise smiled warmly. “I'm also fine.”
Honestly, I feel embarrassed this time. When they're in trouble, I can't do anything to help. I'm a really bad guy.
“You better follow me so you can rest in peace. Although only in a simple hut,” took Roman while leading us to a hut, not far from here.
Arriving there, Roman immediately invited us in. The hut we entered has a floor mat made of pandan leaves that are dried and woven in such a way.
The inside of this hut was also simple, not having much stuff. In the corner of the room, I could see hunting equipment such as spears, bows, as well as a large bag that was slightly damaged. The other part contains nothing.
“Please wait here.” Roman then went to the back door of the hut.
Me, Wolf, and Ellise sat in a semicircle. The atmosphere was very quiet, there was no conversation. The silence lasted for a while, until I finally decided to start a conversation. "Why are you so careless, Wolf?" Kulirik Wolf who had just sat quietly while bowing his head.
Besides I didn't understand Wolf's actions a while ago, the question was also meant to satisfy curiosity on the reason why I lost my memory. And why Wolf can know my name. I began to suspect that he was the cause.
Ah, it seems impossible.
Soon I dismissed those suspicions, because I still couldn't confirm the truth.
Wolf looked up, staring at the ceiling while sighing. “At first I thought the hut was a place used by everyone here.”
“In other words, you think that big hut was used to do gatherings or something?”
“Because it should be.”
Gosh, why could he at will draw conclusions without a second thought? Didn't he know that big buildings aren't always used as gathering places?
Shortly after, the back door of the hut opened, a man, Roman, entered the hut through the door. His hand carried a small sack made of cloth and contained something.
Roman sat cross-legged in front of the three of us. He took out a few slices of bread and a bottle of drinking water, and placed them in our midst.
“Please enjoy! Hope you guys don't get tired of eating food like this,” Roman said.
“This is more than enough,” I replied with a big smile.
“Yes, that's right. It is precisely we who must thank you for helping us,” said Ellise.
“Hahaha, don't be too shy with me.” Roman laughed a little. “Oh yes, my name is Roman, greetings know.”
Actually I already know his name, but I don't want to confess.
“I'm Leonal, greetings know.” I introduced myself, followed by Ellise and Wolf.
“I Wolf.”
Roman smiled kindly at us. “Greetings know too, the three of you.”
I'm so happy because there's a nice guy like him here. However, I also cannot be careless in this very new environment.

It was dark when we finished talking. I admit that it's not bad to waste time while familiarizing yourself with new people.
I sat in front of Roman's hut, looking up at the stars while being illuminated by the moonlight. A while later, Ellise came, sitting to my right. I looked away, glancing at her sweet face. For some reason, these eyes could not shift from him.
The longer I looked, the colder the heart saw her unraveling hair and Ellise's sweet dimples like sugar. For a moment I thought about getting closer to this beautiful girl. However, as soon as possible the thought was removed from the inside of the head.
“Ekhm ..” Ellise cleared her throat while turning her face the other way, then said in a nervous tone. “Is there anything strange with my face?”
A moment after he said that, I realized that I had been looking at him for too long.
I quickly turned my face the other way. “Ng, sorry .. I didn't mean. I-tu, anu, I mean ...”
Ah, goddamn. Why am I so nervous like this? And why can't I say it clearly?
A small soft-pitched laughter, heard by the ears. Hearing it made me even more embarrassed to show my face to Ellise, who was right beside me.
“I didn't expect that you were a shy person.”
Oh, my God, please stop that!
Although I couldn't see Ellise's face when I said I was shy. From the way he said it while slightly laughing, I could tell that he was mocking. However, never mind, there is no point in continuing to argue here.
I took a breath while calming down. Then, turn your gaze toward Ellise. It seemed that he was still laughing while closing his mouth using his right hand, as well as turning his face the other way.
“Hm .. By the way, Wolf is where?” ask, change the subject.
Hearing that, Ellise tried to stop laughing, but her body still trembled holding back the laughter.
“It looks like he went that way,” replied Ellise—who had stopped laughing—while pointing to his right.
I also stood up. “Alright, I'll check the situation.”
I said that out of feeling a little worried about Wolf's current state. Fearing, he would even get lost if he continued to walk through this vast forest alone.
“Ya, okay. I will wait in the hut,” Ellise said as she stood up and walked towards the hut.
“Please wait, I won't be long.”
My feet stepped in the direction that Ellise pointed to earlier, although I did not bring any illumination because the middle moon was shining brightly.

I went into the tent after separating from Leon. If I can be honest, I still want to talk to him for longer. However, it seemed that he was worried about Wolf. Hm .. do they have a special relationship?
Ah, how could that be true.
I immediately dismissed the thought from inside my head. It is impossible that their relationship is more than just a friend. And, deep down, I don't want that to happen.
Why could that be?
If anyone asks, I will firmly answer that I do not know either.
While immersed in the mind room, I sat cross-legged on the mat, although sitting here was not very comfortable.
Moments later, my ears heard footsteps. I immediately looked at the source.
Suddenly, someone grabbed me from behind. The man's left hand closed my nose, making it hard for me to breathe. His right hand pointed a short knife, right in front of his eyes.
Uh, who is this guy?
I tried to rebel by moving my body with all my might. The more he tried to rebel, the more the knife pointed at me approached.
If I keep this up, I could die.
Cold sweat began to wash all over the body, the heart rate is getting tight, and the chest becomes tight because it cannot breathe.
Ah, I'm dead.
Fear haunted my mind. Over time this body is getting weaker and less powerful. All over the body that had been dry, became drenched in sweat.
How'this? What am I supposed to do? Am I destined to die today?
As I was tossed about by the feeling of uncertainty, the shrinking person whispered softly in my ear.
“Stop moving! Or this knife will stick in your head.”
My mind became shriveled after he said that, resignedly, I relaxed, stopped rebelling.
Leon ... please a—
My head became dizzy from running out of oxygen. Soon, my vision darkened and I remembered nothing.
