Time has passed since Mischie pulled me to run with him. He increased his speed when he found out that Lize was chasing us. I really don't understand why he's avoiding Lize. However, one thing I'm sure of, there must have been a fight between them when I fainted.
What happens when I am unconscious?
Even though I was very curious about the answer to my question, I kept my mouth shut tight so as not to ask Mischie. Tracing the dark passageway, Mischie and I suddenly hit the tunnel wall. My head hurt when I hit Mischie who was slammed into the wall.
Not waiting long, Mischie pulled me back to run. The sound of our footsteps echoed within this tunnel. A few moments later, the exit from the tunnel was finally visible. In an instant, the sunlight instantly dazzled these eyes to the point of making me close them with both hands.
After a long and exhausting journey, we finally came out of the tunnel. Immediately, Mischie pulled me into a fairly large and shady tree. Then we sat down below him to recover the energy.
Not long after, Lize finally came up with an unreasonable breath. Both of his hands seemed to be clutching his wounded stomach. Seeing that, I immediately stood up and approached him.
“You why?” ask me with a worried tone.
Lize slightly smiled as she replied, “Nothing.”
Even though he answered like that, I can tell how he is lying. However, I was actually still a little annoyed that he left me back then and said rudely to me. But I ignored it when I saw he was injured.
“Why can you get hurt like this?” ask me a second time.
In response to my question, Lize smiled and suddenly, she fell on my body. I was surprised by it, when I checked, I didn't think he had fainted from exhaustion.
I slowly lifted her body and laid her under a shady tree so she could rest. After that I immediately stared intently at Mischie who was spending time sitting leaning under a tree. Judging from his reaction, I could tell that he really did not care about what happened to Lize.
Immediately I approached Mischie, then asked, “You what is Lize?”
Mischie would not answer that question. He stood up and left me. Knowing that, I just pulled him from behind so he wouldn't leave. “Why didn't you answer?”
Mischie still did not want to open her mouth to answer my question. However, I still did not give up, and then I painstakingly persuaded him repeatedly so that he would give an answer.
Tired of hearing me babble, Mischie was finally willing to open her mouth. “Argh, alright, I will explain it to you,” his grunts as he brushes off my right hand that holds his shoulder.
After grumbling, Mischie also explained about what had happened before and about his quarrel with Lize. From the story, I finally understood why Mischie disliked Lize so much. And all Mischie's explanations can prove that Lize was the one Andrew had told us to play us. That's if Mischie tells the truth.
“Mischie! Please take care of Lize for me!” I said as I walked away.
I really understand if Mischie is reluctant to do so. Even so, he would definitely still do it for me. Why that? Because he and I are like best friends.
Put your feet on the dry leaves that are scattered on the ground. I finally found a tree that had a big enough hole. Seeing that, without thinking any more I directly put my hand in it. At first I thought I would find something strange in there, but I guessed wrong.
From the pit of the tree I found a piece of bread wrapped in paper like the one I used to meet in this forest. To be honest that's what I thought before my hand touched a glass bottle. “What is this?” I said after removing the glass bottle containing black liquid from the hole.
After I noticed further, the color of the liquid was not black but dark blue which at first glance would look like black. Put the bread in your hand on the ground. I turned the bottle cap as hard as I could. And sure enough, when the bottle cap came off, a strange scent that was so pungent immediately pierced into this head.
“Hoeks ...” I almost threw out the bottle as far as possible and covered my nose with both hands.
Not wanting to linger here, I grabbed the bread I had previously placed on the ground and then left the place as quickly as possible. It was far enough I walked so that the unpleasant aroma just now was more and more out of the sense of smell. However, there were other problems again after the first issue was resolved.
“Damn it! I don't know where the way back.” I screamed hysterically as loud as I could.
Giving up on the situation, I walked forward without spirit. While on the way, I never stopped babbling in annoyance. However, as long as I complained, nothing changed from this annoying situation.
As far as I went, I was unknowingly near a big river. Without waiting any longer, I went straight into the river to clear my mind. The cold clear river water penetrated all over this body and made the mind a little calm.
“Ah ... very fresh .. if only all this ended just like that,” I said while hoping to get out of this mysterious forest soon.
I enjoyed how fresh the body was after getting wet by the cold river water. A few moments after being satisfied to indulge in this river, I just came out of the water and dried up.
The sun is almost setting, but I still haven't found where Mischie and Lize are. I'm so worried if I can't find them until nightfall. Because it would be dangerous for me without any comrades here.
Looking here and there, I never found them both. And it turns out, the worst possibility has happened to me. It's dark, but I still haven't found my comrades.
I took a deep breath because I was fed up with everything I had faced, including now. “This sucks,” lamented as I sat under a tree, hoping to be found by Lize and Mischie.
