The Dark Slayer's

The Dark Slayer's
[S2] Chapter 5 Part 1

At the same time, in front of a cave, Andrew, wearing his favorite all-black outfit, brought Zanik to inspect the place. Zanik tightly grasped the two pistols in hand, his eyes focused on the cave before him.

“You sure of this super crazy idea?” Zanik seemed hesitant to act.

However, Adrew calmly took two pistols from behind his clothes, then walked closer to the cave that Zanik was watching.

“Don't be spoiled,” said Andrew who is still moving forward. “All this is for our final purpose. Although troublesome, it is not a problem.”

What the fuck is this crazy guy? Can he ever think logically? Shitty, why should I be a partner of this kind? thought Zanik. Despite being upset, the young man was able to hide all his emotions with a flat face.

Inevitably, Zanik finally stepped foot, entering the cave following Andrew. He did so not out of solidarity or fear, but to keep his secret safe.

The inside of the cave is so dark, but this is meaningless, for they have special eyes that can see in the darkness. The sound of footsteps filled the ears, no one wanted to start a conversation just to pass the time. Zanik's gaze continued to be vigilant around, he did not want if there was a danger that ambushed from behind.

The two young men suddenly stopped, they kept glancing over here and there to ascertain the circumstances. Nothing happened for a few seconds, only the sound of small rocks falling on the floor. The stench then pierced into his nose, Zanik could not stand it and covered his nose with his right arm, because he was holding a gun.

“Do not let your guard down,” Andrew's remembrance.

Zanik also increased his alertness. The young man's eyes kept glaring around, finding out about what dangers were threatening. However, his sense of smell still did not work properly, due to the pungent smell similar to the scent of carrion.

Damn, actually why should I bother like this? Zanik was getting annoyed with the current situation. He knew very well what was in this cave, but also did not want to refuse Andrew's offer, which would later affect the plan he had prepared.

“Alright, I'll finish it right now if you don't take any action.” Soon Zanik walked forward. He knew that this situation was absolutely nothing to Andrew. Only, the young man was very lazy to overcome all the obstacles that existed. Sucks.

Andrew smiled slightly seeing his partner very sensitive to him. In the meantime, Zanik irritatedly got into the cave, where the place was the source of a foul nose stench. “Damn, trashy base. How dare he tell me like this. When the time comes, I will make you prostrate to apologize to me,” Zanik muttered slowly. His mouth did not stop expressing his regret.

At the end of the cave tunnel, Zanik settles on the wall next to him. The eyes of the young man still continued to observe so many undead that moved unnaturally or commonly called zombies. The zombies were jostling, sometimes there was one zombie they ate together.

What am I supposed to do now? Zanik racked his brain to find a safe way to get the zombies out of here. He knew that the zombies would definitely react with sound, but when he created a sound, then the zombies would definitely attack simultaneously.

“Gawat ...” Despite trying to think of a way, Zanik never found an idea. He had to think about how to get the zombies out while hiding his true abilities. “It seems, I can only rely on a stroke of luck here. Hope my plan goes well.”

Zanik immediately faced the zombies and immediately launched an attack with a gun in his left hand. The other gun he keeps behind his clothes so as not to disturb.

One of the zombies was attacked, but the creature was still moving forward towards Zanik. I've guessed. As fast as lightning, Zanik turned around and ran towards the exit. The zombie horde moved towards the young man, as he had just made a noise using his gun.

It was late in the afternoon, in front of the cave door there was Andrew who was waiting for Zanik to come out of the cave. The young man did not care whether Zanik died or not, all he wanted was the satisfaction of seeing someone suffer. However, he also had another purpose, which was: to get out of this forest together with his Clan, the Dragon Clan. That's why he became the leader of the clan.

With a breath of air, a young man came out from the cave near Andrew. Seeing that, Andrew did not panic, he only moved a little to ascertain what was chasing the young man.

A faint smile, formed on Andrew's lips, as he saw a herd of zombies crammed towards him. The young man who had just come out of gua—Zanik— set his breath that was not careless, while leaning on the tree trunk. He had not expected that running without using his original strength would be so exhausting.

“Sial, I should have used a little of my ability.” Yes, it was natural that he regretted this time, but those regrets did not last long.

Andrew was still standing in front of the cave, waiting for the zombies to approach him. The timing was very precise, the sun had already set completely, leaving behind the darkness of the night today.

“Zombie troops are ready, it's time to finish off the Rabbit Clan as an experiment, without the need to fight with his own power.”

“The Rabbit Clan Headquarters is very far from here,” said Zanik who has managed to stabilize his condition. “Are you sure you can take these zombies to their base, without getting caught?”

Andrew laughed at Zanik's words. “Haha, you still don't understand it.”

“What do you mean?”

“In addition to sound, there is a pearl that can make these zombies move?”

Zanik widened his eyes wide. He never knew there was such a thing. This strange forest holds many mysteries, but they are all always interrelated, Zanik thought.

“You will know soon.” Andrew moved away from the cave door, followed by Zanik who was still confused about the situation.

“Actually, how much do you know about this strange forest?” Although a little doubtful, Zanik still dared himself to ask.

Of course Andrew would not easily answer that question. Because he used to struggle to find various information by exploring the forest alone. Risking his life to uncover a hidden mystery, until he finally knows most of what is in this forest.

“Not much.”

Zanik knew that what Andrew was saying was just a lie. Although Andrew is also good at wearing a flat face, Zanik's instinct seems to know the lie that Andrew says. They both like to use a flat face to cover things up.

“It looks like we have to try harder to be able to know all the secrets stored here.” Instead of arguing, Zanik prefers to resign and agree with Andrew's words.
