Chapter 8 part 2

Like breaking down the palace of silence, Rias suddenly invites me to chat. “Hei!” said. “Don't you think that we were actually sent here to get things done? Like looking for identity, maybe?”

Kulirik the girl who was talking while sitting hugged her two standing legs and lowered her head. He seemed hesitant to express his opinion, but everything was already spoken by his mouth.

I smiled faintly then said, “Maybe what you said is true. However, still, where maybe we can find a good identity if this environment still adheres to the law of the jungle.”

“Ehehe, it is true, but still, when I think about your sentence more deeply, the law of the jungle can also make us understand the importance of a life to be maintained.”

He was right, our current state can be said, suitable for finding our identity. However, that does not mean everyone can understand the simplest thing.

The rain began to subside, I stood up while stretching the muscles that felt stiff. The cold air temperature was still felt, at a time like this, I did want to wear clothes so that my body was warmer. But I can't do it because my clothes are wet. And of course, if worn, my body would only get colder.

Walking down a dark and silent passage, these eyes again could see nothing but darkness. Not ignoring me who was struggling to see, the girl still continued to pull this hand until we arrived at a place that had a small fire lighting in the middle of it.

“What is this place?” Obviously I was surprised to see where I was right now. For a moment I was pensive, then suddenly remembered something. “Don't tell me this place ..” I turned my face to glance at Rias, the graceful girl who brought me here.

Without needing to ask my point, Rias just answered, “Yes, this is where I woke up some time ago.” Staring around for a while, Rias let out a breath. “I really don't know why I could be here without remembering anything. And after you said that in this forest still applies the law of the jungle, I became more and more afraid.”

God, I forgot that he was here for the first time. However, since it's already happened, I'd better tell him about this shitty place in order to survive. “Hm ... well, I'll tell you how to live here.”

I shook my head a few times, because actually I had also thought about the thing Rias thought about. But now I don't want to think about it, because there are people who are evil not because of hatred, but because of pleasure. And maybe one of them is Andrew, but what I've made sure of is Roman and his plot.

When it comes to Roman, it's clear he committed a crime unable to resist lust. However, I still do not know for sure about Andrew, so I am not sure one hundred percent that he is a bad person. In reality, I only saw Andrew commanding his men arbitrarily, and did not understand what his true nature was like.

“Why are you silent?” asked Rias with a surprised face.

“Mm ... where should I start explaining it, huh?” I thought for a moment, then continued, “Actually I do not understand why they want to impose the law of the jungle in this forest, but the law has been in effect since I was here.”

“It is unlikely that a rule will be used without a cause and effect. There must be a mystery that makes it happen, yes, I'm sure it must be.”

The shaking suddenly stopped. Even so, Rias still pulled me running down the dark passageway until finally arriving at the cave exit. A moment before I felt relieved, the air temperature that had been cold, had now turned very hot. The smell of fresh water, also replaced with a sharp smell that makes the nose feel uncomfortable.

“Run fast!” rias exclaimed while pulling me in a panic.

When facing backwards, these eyes could see the flames bobbing up all the trees. Seeing this, I immediately accelerated until Rias who had pulled this hand passed.

“Awas!”

“Hua!” I screamed when this leg slipped and rolled on a derivative. My whole body now feels a terrible pain.

“Adu-du-du-duh ..” I groaned when I opened my eyes. “Wire! Gotta go quickly!”

A slap immediately shot to my left cheek after saying that. The person who slapped me was none other than Rias.

“What's up?” I snapped, a little annoyed at his behavior.

“You are why!” Rias snapped back. “See it!” Then he pointed back. I followed the direction and saw thick smoke without any fire there.

“Where did the big fire go?” I asked who was astonished.

“Of course the fire will not be able to reach this place, because the land and trees are wet. So, calm your mind!” rias replied, annoyed.

It's true that this place is wet, and if you think about it with logic, the fire won't be able to reach us. However, the problem is, this forest is very strange, the things that happen here are not logical, therefore, logic sometimes misses here.

“That's right,” said Rias while widening her eyes.

“I've guessed ...! Let's run!” I said as I stood back up and pulled Rias running with all her might.

The pungent smell and smoke were now mixed into one and filled my sense of smell. This head became increasingly dizzy as it ran away from the blaze of the red whiz who was rampaging. Despite the haunting fatigue, I still stepped forward in order to survive. However, all of a sudden, my feet stumbled to make me fall on the ground with Rias.

Glancing back, these eyes could see an unpleasant sight. “Argh ... how is this?” My breath is no longer.

The fire is getting closer, not even 20 meters away from us.
