The Dark Slayer's
Chapter 2 part 2

Meanwhile, somewhere else. Wolf was looking at the night sky thinking about whether what he did to Leon was right or wrong. He sighed then shook his head several times to dismiss that thought.

Beside Wolf, there was a young man who was none other than Morfin. He tilted his head and looked in wonder at Wolf.Basically this young man did not understand why Wolf was so agitated and indecisive.

Finally, Morfin asked, “Why do you look so worried?”

Wolf turned his gaze toward Morfin. Right now, he wanted to ascertain whether Morfin was pretending to be ignorant, or indeed insensitive at all.

Seeing Wolf watching himself, Morfin grew increasingly confused then asked once more, “Is there something wrong with me?”

From that gurgle, everyone would know that he was indeed insensitive to Wolf's current state or feelings.

Wolf lowered his head, resigned when he realized that. However, Morfin was even more wondering in his heart.

“Ah, stop. No need to think too much. We better go find Leon and Ellise,” Wolf said as he walked to Roman's hut.

Morfin increasingly did not understand why Wolf was agitated, but he submissively walked after Wolf.

Arriving in front of the hut, the two of them heard a commotion going on there. Without waiting any longer, they went inside the hut and saw what had really happened.

In an instant, Wolf was filled with anger when he saw Roman with his group tormenting Leon to the point of lying weak. The wolf as quickly as possible ran towards them.

One of Roman's comrades threw a spear towards Wolf. Realizing that, Wolf immediately jumped to the side to dodge, a spear thrown at him, darting through the wall of the hut.

Soon, one more spear was thrown towards Wolf. However, once again he dodged to the side so that the spear did not hit him and stuck right to his right.

Not yet had Wolf sighed, an arrow shot at him. He involuntarily crossed his left arm in front of his face, so that the arrow hit his arm.

The arrow pierced through the arm that was made into a shield by Wolf. Blood started to pour from his wound. The pain spread throughout Wolf's body, but he paid no heed to it and pulled out the arrow.

“Argh ...” Wolf screamed in pain as he haphazardly pulled out the arrow stuck on his arm. Moments later, another arrow slid through his left leg.

Wolf fell down, kneeling on the ground. The young man's right hand held his injured left arm.

Roman stepped forward, stopping right in front of Wolf. He looked at Wolf—who was cowering in pain—with a cold look.

“Sweak people like you can only submit to me.”

Wolf looked up, looking at Roman with anger. He then removed the grip on his left arm. Wolf's right hand, which had been clean, was now filled with blood. However, this young man ignored him then stretched his hand to the side in order to grab the spear there.

Before Wolf could take the spear. Roman immediately kicked Wolf's stomach until it made this young man spurt blood from the mouth.

Wolf was severely injured, lying limp and the pain spread throughout the body. His breathing was heavy, his chest tight, and his eyes began to blur.

Ah, why do I have to be like this? thought. In a state where he felt cornered, memories of the past began to fill the young man's mind. He remembers it all, the day a great fire took the lives of his entire family and made him an orphan.

But one day, when he felt so bad. Someone came to give him advice and help to rise again from the slump. From then on, Wolf promised inwardly that he would definitely repay the person's kindness.

How could I repay her kindness, Wolf thought, frustrated.

Suddenly, screams of pain rang out behind Roman, Roman glancing towards the back. He was stunned when he saw a young man facing off against his comrades. The young man was Morphine.

The man who was struck by Morfin, fell to the ground while holding his mouth.

“Job!” The man armed with the arrow shot Morfin.

An arrow shot towards Morfin, but the young man was still able to dodge to the side then darted hitting the person in front of him.

The person who was hit took a few steps back. Two of his friends took spears to attack Morfin.

Morfin retreated several steps avoiding the attack. However, the two men attacked Morfin with spears. Panicked, Morfin involuntarily restrained their attack with both hands.

The two spears pierced through Morfin's hand. Not long after, an arrow slid onto the young man's shoulder. Blood flowed from his wound, but he was still calm, not the slightest hint of pain.

The people who tried to attack Morfin earlier, breathed a sigh of relief when Morfin was no longer moving. Then, the person armed with the arrow again made a challenge to shoot Morfin.

Suddenly the ground trembled, everyone here was moving incoherently. The archer accidentally shot his arrow up.

At the same time, this simple hut began to collapse.

In the chaos, Roman and his group immediately went out of the hut. While Wolf and his friends are still lying inside here.

Here, Leon who was still half-conscious tried to get up, crawled closer to Ellise. Right now, his mind was filled with worry, not on himself, but on Ellise's condition.

"El ... lise ...” Leon whimpered, powerless to lose the girl in front of him.

Leon further shortened the distance from Ellise. Suddenly, a piece of wood fell onto the young man's head. His gaze began to sway, not seeing as before. His head feels heavy. Even so, Leon still survives so as not to faint.

“El .. lise.” Once again Leon whimpered until finally unable to withstand the pain also tired his body, then fainted.

Near Leon, there was Morfin who was just silent, lying, shaken by the vibrations of the ground.

Meanwhile, Wolf is mortally wounded, forcing himself to wake up. His entire body was in pain, filled with blood. Wolf crawled up to Leon, kneeling to his right while stretching out both hands.

A few moments passed, the roar of the wind grew stronger to make the top of the hut collapse. Suddenly, many animals were running towards Wolf and his companions.

As the animals got closer, a running horse crashed into Wolf. The young man held his body, lying on his stomach with both hands, covering Leon's body so as not to be trampled by the animals.

Not long after, a bull stepped on Wolf's back. Withstanding the weight of the bull's body and leg, Wolf's arm and spine were broken.

“Argh ...,” Wolf groans, prone to overlapping Leon's body.

Finally, the ground stopped shaking, the animals were no longer there. The places that the animals passed by were a mess. Including where Wolf and his friends are.

“Argh ... pain ...” Wolf—who was still half conscious—back whimpering.

His entire body felt pain, unable to move anymore due to being seriously injured.

I'm sorry, sir, for not being able to keep the promise to take good care of her. And it seems, this is the end for me, Wolf thought. I hope your plan doesn't fall apart just because of something like this.

Wolf exhaled his last breath with a hint of guilt.
