Despite not being able to accept the harsh reality he had experienced, Flicker reluctantly wanted to follow me to the place where Darwsi was. Upon arrival there, Flicker's body immediately pegged stiffly, his eyes wide wide open to see the form of Dervish. It would be a shock to him, but I never thought he would be so surprised.
“Ba-how could this creature be here?” Flicker took a few steps back.
Indifferently, I immediately sat down next to Dervish, unwilling to pry Flicker's question. “Better you sit here than continue to contemplate seeing the figure of Darwis.” I also immediately relax the body, looking around to find out whether or not there is danger around.
This body was too tired, but still had to keep watch before finally alternating with Dervish. Really boring.
Slowly, Flicker was sitting next to me, not wanting to get too close to Dervish. I realized that the form of Dervish is terrible, but he has a good heart, if not being frustrated. Yeah, maybe it's because the cells have changed.
“Hei, Flicker!”
Flicker immediately turned towards me, when I mentioned his name. “What do you think will happen when we continue to walk north?”
“Do not know .... Maybe something terrible.”
It seems that he does not care about this discussion, I better forget this unimportant discussion. After all, everything will definitely be revealed along the way. Is that terrible? Or maybe fun? No one knows....
The night was getting colder, my body shivered because it could not stand the cold. Flicker had fallen asleep soundly to calm the mind and remove fatigue, while I was still yawning to hold back the drowsiness.
Because it was no longer able to fight drowsiness, I immediately shook the Dervish to wake him up. He still did not wake up, so I immediately rolled him to the ground, until he finally woke up.
While rubbing both eyes that are still not wide open, Darwis said, “What's the matter? I'm still not satisfied isthirahat.”
The creature was about to sleep again, but I straightened his body again. “I'll sleep, you watch.”
Although reluctant, Darwis still agreed to my words. “Good.”
Relaxedly, I immediately lay on the dry leaves that covered the ground. My eyes began to close to immediately leave for dreamland. The whole body feels very comfortable to feel it all, and fatigue has penetrated the mind.
I haven't had a chance to talk, someone woke me up by shouting, “Leon, wake up!”
Eyes open again, the view is still blurred so it can not see clearly. When the vision returned to normal, I jumped unconscious. A few lions were seen surrounding us, and Darwis took the whip with his right hand, preparing to attack the lions. While Flicker can only lean on the tree behind Dervish.
Dervishes slashed their whips to the right and to the left, the lions slowly retreated while groaning slightly. They bared their sharp fangs to scare us. However, it was in vain, because I had seen creatures more terrifying than them, and one of them was Dervish.
Without a warning, a lion immediately jumped towards Dervish. Calmly, Darwis flicked his whip at the lion. Surprisingly, the lion had instantly died with its head crushed. I don't know how strong this Dervish really is, even if I fight with him, it's certain that he can defeat me easily.
The few lions that were still alive, instantly retreated slowly seeing one of them had been lying dead on the ground. Dervish advanced while slashing his whip without noticing me and Flicker. If it was like this in the end, why would he bother to wake me up? Isn't it easy to let me sleep comfortably without knowing the situation.
I turned towards Flicker who was still unmoved while leaning against the tree trunk. His eyes did not blink a single glance at the Dervish who was fighting the lions alone.
A lion roared, I turned back and saw a lion jumping at me. Suddenly, this self immediately fired a gun at the lion, blood began to flow from the wounds he received. After a few bullets struck his body, the lion finally lay dead next to me.
How could it not, the lion had received quite a heavy wound from head to body, it was natural that he died. Meanwhile, Darwis instantly killed some of the lions that lunged at him. It's weird, why don't they just leave, and just throw their lives away? Or are their instincts dull enough to be unusable?
Ah, no matter, the important thing is we survived. I immediately refilled my gun with the bullets I had stored behind my clothes. A few lions in front of me, straight away saw me refill the bullets. Perhaps, their survival instincts had recovered.
For a moment, I sighed, then stood beside Flicker while watching the surroundings. After a while, Darwis returned with a whip filled with blood. Did he kill all the lions? The answer is uncertain, because there is a possibility that the animals just leave.
“The lions are so cowardly.” Dervish folds back his whip.
“Already. The important thing is we are fine.” Calmly, I put both of my pistols under my clothes.
Screaming Flicker for a moment, he seemed to calm back down after sighing. This incident was very surprising, even I became no longer sleepy because of it.
“We'd better get out of here!”
Without waiting for approval, Darwis immediately walked towards the north. And from this incident, I can find out one more thing. Flicker has evolved just like me and Darwis, although he has not been able to use his form-changing technique. Well, it's gonna happen, just have to wait for time.
Suddenly, before I could take a step, a roar instantly echoed within the forest. We immediately turned around, looking at the voice. Wow, what is that? I immediately stepped back when I saw a lion standing like a human. His feet were as muscular as a human, and his fingers had quite long claws. However, the face of the creature is the same as a lion in general, then his neck was filled with dense fur.
I immediately took out two pistols with two hands, then Dervish came while pulling out his whip and sword. He turned his back on us, as if to say that he would face the creature alone.
“As far as you are.” I lowered both guns, but remained alert on the surroundings.
