Chapter 9 part 2

Once again I took a breath and turned to the road I had not yet been on. Walking straight ahead, these eyes saw no crossing or anything. The hallway in which I walked was now just a silent passageway without any branches or the presence of others. But I was a little lucky, because along the walls of the hallway there were lanterns that illuminated the place.

The air temperature became hotter to make sweat began to pour from the pores of my skin and wet this entire body. Over time, my chest became tight, my breathing was so heavy, and this leg became limp. My throat was getting drier because the air was so hot.

When this self had given up and was about to rest, I suddenly bumped into someone who suddenly appeared on my right, falling down. “Aduh!” I said as I fell to the ground.

The person I hit also said the word I said in surprise. I slowly opened these eyes and stood up while balancing the body. Glancing forward, I can see a long haired girl who is none other than Rias.

“Hei! You are you hurt?” I said as I extended this right hand to him.

The girl shook her head and welcomed my hand. “Yes. I'm okay,” he said.

I smiled a little when I was not alone anymore. However, still, the air temperature in this place is very disturbing.

I let go of my clutches after Rias had really stood up stably. The girl's body was also drenched in drenched sweat. The clothes he was wearing were also very wet due to this. However, never once did I see despair from the look in his eyes, and it was so different from me.

“What's wrong with you?” asked Rias who saw me daydreaming.

“Ah, no, nothing,” I replied while forcing myself to smile.

I knew that he would be a little suspicious of my ridiculous behavior, but he didn't seem to want to talk about it anymore. I hope so.

Rias glared around and observed the parts of this strange place. It seems he's still very calm despite being stranded here. For a moment Rias fell silent and then pressed her right hand against her chin. It seems he was thinking something.

Before long, Rias finally lowered her hand back and prepared to tell me something. He looked at me closely then said, “actually where are we?”

My hope was instantly dashed at the question he asked me. This mouth was wide open as it was unable to withstand how shocking it was. I was hoping he would say something about this place, but I was wrong.

Suddenly my ears heard the sound of iron clanking echoing in this hallway. I immediately turned around to confirm the origin of the sound. There was nothing, all I now saw was an empty passage illuminated by a lantern.

My heart rate is rising, this breath is getting faster. I almost jumped when someone touched me from behind. Adjusting my breath, I turned my eyes and saw Rias hiding behind me. I breathed a sigh of relief when I realized no danger was coming.

Not yet had this self become calm, a liquid with a pungent odor suddenly fell from above and soaked my body that was bathed in sweat. The smell of the liquid was so sharp that it made me dizzy. However, for some reason, I felt like inhaling it many times.

The lanterns suddenly ignited a huge fire and crept rapidly on the floor. Suddenly I pulled Rias to run away from the fire. However, my steps stopped when I saw our front hallway was also filled with flames.

Holy hooch! How'this? What am I supposed to do? C'mon Leon! Think on! Think on! Think about how you get out of here?

I was once again caught in a very dangerous situation. This thought was back in chaos because of this. I really don't know how to avoid this fire.

When I was unable to do so, Rias immediately pulled away this turn to the right side, where she was walking earlier. The hallway was dark, not a single lantern illuminated this place. However, this is very beneficial, because without the lantern, the fire would not be able to reach this place immediately.

We continued to run away, but the fire also chased from the back to make the once dark hallway now light. The temperature of the air became hotter, the flames kept creeping up and almost grabbed me. I don't know what liquid is splashed on this body, but clearly, this liquid can make the fire blaze even more.

My breath stinged, this leg was getting limp so unable to hold weight. I fell down, and it caused Rias to fall. Not waiting for long, Rias stood up again and extended her hand to me. I greeted his hand, but this leg was unable to stand.

“Come! Hurry up!” Rias panicked because the fire was growing faster.

Immediately I took my hand off her then pushed Rias forward. “Go! Just leave me!” myrag.

Instead of leaving immediately, Rias instead approached and pulled me over. “Weak basis! Don't be a spoiled old geezer! Let's go!” Rias was so angry about my actions.

Seeing Rias who was trying so hard to help, I forced these two legs to stand up. Rias immediately grabbed me, my limp feet plus tight breathing really made me want to give up. However, I ignored all the pain and ran for safety.

The longer I run, the more my breath is heavy, the chest is tight, and the feeling of fatigue is no longer able to be held. Our speed is now reduced quickly, because Rias is also very exhausted. At the same time, Rias and I fell for not being able to resist this tiredness of self.

The grip of our hand was released, I crept forward to be on Rias' right. With a breath of breath, I looked at Rias and said, “haah .. haah .. come on! Se ... haah .. little more.”

My head is dizzy, this view is getting foggy. Smoke so thick also clogs my nose to the point that this chest is getting congested. Forcing myself to creep forward, I found branches from four sides. And fatefully, each side was adorned by a blaze so fierce as to devour whatever was before him.
