[S3] Chapter 25: The Skull

Stop thinking about complicated things, now Leon just keeps monitoring around, making sure everything is safe. If you keep moving like this, traveling a kilometer is not a long journey. At least that's what Leon thought before.

They stopped when a sudden fog appeared out of nowhere. Soon Leon made a protector, covering them all like they were covered by a large shell. The thick fog had somehow felt familiar to Leon, but he had no idea what it was.

Ignoring this, Leon took a deep breath and glanced at his friends. Their faces were flat, but it was obvious that they were currently in an alert position. Tense, so calm and quiet. No sound other than the sound of breath.

Following a skull named Tusk, the other skull saluted. Like a dream, the fog disappeared along with the skulls. Leon was still wondering in his mind why he was so respected by the skulls.

The once dark Valley of Evolution is now illuminated by the light of the sun. It seemed like the darkness had just been caused by a technique, but Leon and the others were unaware of it.

Shortly after, Sun, Sasa, and Ni finally came to their senses. Leon glanced at them for a moment then looked up. He never thought why so many secrets had not been revealed about his past. If Ellise had opened her mouth, she would have been calmer by now.

Leon shook his head. Meanwhile, Sun slowly stepped forward. “What really happened here?” Sun glared around.

“Nothing. It's just, it looks like you guys are fooled by a technique.” So calm Leon answered.

“It turns out so ... It seems like the technique makes me think that we are actually in the Valley of Evolution at night, but the fact is different.”

“Like that. Now we better get out. After this there will be no more obstacles. We are free to go.”

They continued their journey calmly without hindrance.
