The Dark Slayer's

The Dark Slayer's
Chapter 9 part 3

It was a while before Leon and his friends entered the cave. Mischie who first entered was silent for a moment looking at the dark condition of the cave. Here, her sensitive nose smelled a sweet and fragrant scent. Because of that, he slowly went deeper and deeper leaving his friends behind.

Not far behind Mischie, there were two girls and a young man tailing Mischie. The three of them just continued walking without saying anything. Moments later, one of the girls collided with a young man who was behind her. The two people were Rias and Leon.

As long as Leon's little interaction with Rias took place, Mischie still kept going without saying a word. The longer the time passed, he ended up being far apart from his friends earlier.

When the fragrant aroma sniffed by Mischie increasingly stings. His eyes became foggy, his head as if spinning endlessly made himself dizzy. Like a movie that is being played, Mischie's memory is now clearly displayed in his head. However, there was no one he could remember, other than the names of things, animals, and plants.

Mischie saw himself gathering with many people in a room. The faces of those people looked foreign in his eyes. He really can't remember a bit about them. Mischie only knew that he was having a party with them.

Like a film change, what appears in Mischie's head is a memory of his new life together with Leon and his other friends. He remembers the first time he met Leon. At that time, Mischie did not really expect to be saved, but Leon wanted to help him with humility.

Unlike Mischie who is nostalgic. In the middle of the branching hallway that was about to be destroyed by the fire, Leon and Rias were covering their noses with both hands so as not to breathe air that had been polluted by the smoke. However, smoke can still seep into their breathing to stifle the chest.

The fire that was blazing like a wave, charged towards Leon and Rias from four sides. Leon's heart beat thumped, his breathing began to sting for fear of facing death. As with Rias, she was also afraid to see this situation. However, there was no way for them to survive.

Such huge flames came creeping rapidly towards us. My body began to be soaked in sweat from being so afraid of this state. Turning my gaze towards Rias, these eyes can see how tense Rias is to deal with our situation.

It ignited and soared high as it passed through the wet floor by a liquid I did not know. The fire was getting closer to devouring this body. Even though I had no way to leave, I still forced this body to stand.

“Argh ..” I groaned in pain as the pain spread rapidly all over my body. Unable to bear the weight, I again fell down on the floor of this soon-to-be-burned hallway.

“Argh ... pain ... argh ..” screams of pain from Rias's mouth buzzed through the hallway. I took a step back when I saw the flames start burning all over her body.

“No! Nah! Nah! Stop!” I cried while running up to Rias to help her put out the fire on her body.

“Argh ..” This time I screamed because the fire was so hot that it burned my back.

I threw my body on the ground and then rolled around to put out the fire. Instead of being extinguished, the fire was actually increasingly blazing enveloping this self. My body was getting hot from the burning.

The sound of a very loud scream was heard again, when I turned towards the voice, these eyes immediately wide open looking at Rias whose body was being struck by fire. The sound that came out of his mouth was hoarse, while I was just silent unable to do anything more. Quickly the fire that burned her body devoured the tiny body of the long-haired girl until she was burned to ashes.

I extended my right hand towards the girl, these tears involuntarily flowing down her cheeks. My heart grew claustrophobic, for it was powerless to endure how sad I felt. Even though this self feels tremendous pain, I still try to lift this body to stand up.

The huge flame was now devouring my body, I once again fell down as I was about to stand up. However, with the determination gathered inside this heart, I crawled closer to where Rias was burning. The temperature of the air was so hot and the thick smoke made my head dizzy. Ignoring the surroundings and what I felt, I still dragged myself to move.

“Argh ... argh .. argh ..” Every part of my body began to burn, the powerless me to endure the pain could only moan. “Argh ... argh ..” This voice was so hoarse that it could no longer be heard.

My vision began to darken, the terrible pain caused by the fire began to spread to the internal organs. The inside of my head feels pierced. However, over time the pain faded and my consciousness disappeared.

“No!” A voice so loud echoed within the silent and dark cave.

It appeared that a young man who was covered in sweat with a sigh of consternation was looking at his surroundings confusedly. His heart rate was so tight and his eyes glanced to and fro in search of something. That young man was me who was astonished by what had happened.

Remembering something, I checked my whole body, but found nothing. “I'm fine? What happened?” I wonder what I've been through.

I tried to stand up, this leg is still very trembling and limp. My body is still unstable, I even almost fell down when I was about to stand up straight. This head is still dizzy, and my vision is still foggy. After adjusting until the body returned to normal, I finally realized that I was actually still in the cave that I entered a while ago.

My sense of smell improved, and a sweet scent filled my nostrils. Instead of getting close to the source of the scent, I instead rushed away and finally got to the front of the cave.

Instantly, these eyes were dazzled by such a bright light. Closing my eyes with my palms, I move my legs and then open my eyes while adjusting. Unexpectedly, the sun began to lean towards the west indicating that the day was coming to an end.

“Is that a dream?” I racked my brain to find the answer to that question. Shortly after, a name came up in my head. “Squey Foxes,” I said with surprise.

For some reason, I revealed those words, but it seemed like something was implied there. Again I remember. “Ah, yes. I forgot Mischie and the two girls.” While I was just saying, I rushed back into the cave.
