Sharing Love: My Husband Married Without My Permission
46. Doctor Wira

By noon I went to the hospital. I better meet with the doctor directly and hear and ask for an explanation about the surgery that will be undertaken by Mother.

The motor slowly began to enter the area of the hospital where the mother used to treat. Immediately I went to the doctor's office that I often met every mother in the care here. Doctor Wira then drove me to another docer's room, Doctor Hendra's name. The man I expected to be in his forties looked friendly with a smile on his lips as I walked into the room. He allowed me and also the Hero Doctor to sit in the chair that was in front of him.

We were involved in a long discussion. Hendra's doctor showed an X-ray on a white screen nearby. He explained everything that was there. Although I do not understand, but I think it is not good and must be immediately lifted from Mother's head.

I also asked about the time and also what we should prepare for the big operation. Dr. Hendra explained what you should prepare, from starting mentally and also maintaining preoperative health.

"Are there any other risks from this operation, Doctor?" Suddenly I was afraid of what was going to happen in the operating room. The shadows were unpleasant and made me very afraid of being imprinted inside my head. Like in a scene I've seen on TV when a patient is in the operating room. So scared.

Doctor Hendra looked at me with a gentle look. "The risk is always there, but we will call the best doctor we have. We will also do our best for Ms. Ayu. Just pray for everything to go smoothly, and Ms. Ayu quickly healed as usual," said the doctor trying to calm me.

"Doctor Wira will also participate in this operation to maintain heart stability against Mother Ma'am."

"Yes, Mother. Mbak Ayu take it easy and just trust Mother Ma'am to our team. We will definitely do our best for him" said Doctor Wira who faithfully accompanied me earlier.

I smiled at him and said a word of thanks to the two, especially to the Hero Doctor who has been handling the treatment of Mother.

We're done with the discussion about the operation. Some information I have obtained and I also get information about the operating costs that must be issued later. I heaved a sigh of relief, the money I had in my hand was more than enough to carry out the operation as well as for the other expenses.

We're heading to the hospital lobby. Doctor Wira walked me until we were near the parking lot.

"If Mbak Ayu needs help, Mbak Ayu do not hesitate to contact me. I will also fight in the team for the recovery of Mother Mbak Ayu later," said Doctor Wira before I headed towards my bike.

"Thank you, Doctor. The doctor has helped me a lot over the years. I don't know if there isn't a Doctor, maybe you won't be as strong as you are today" I said thanking him.

"It doesn't matter, it's my job as a doctor. I am happy to help patients especially Ms. Mbak Ayu is very obedient, never protesting to consume the drugs we give," he said with a smile on his lips. The shady look behind the glasses seemed to calm me down a little from the worry I felt earlier. A wide and friendly smile showing the hollows on her cheeks made her look sweet.

"Once again I say thank you to the Doctor and other doctors. I beg you for his help once more" I said, bowing respectfully at him.

"I also want to go back home. Later I'll get everything in here to Mom, "Give me the map I carry in my hand. Here there are some sheets of report paper that Dr. Hendra gave earlier, for Mother to obey and live, although the date of surgery has not been decided because it is still waiting for the approval of other doctors.

"May all go well and succeed." Once again the hero doctor said with a smile to me.

"Then I go home, sir." Pamitku again for the last time.

"Father." Doctor Wira's call made me cancel my leg.

"Yes?"

"You ... are fine, right?" the doctor asked me by looking at me. The look in his eyes somehow meant what, but it did not look like usual. I'm honestly confused by the question.

"I'm good, Doctor. What's up, huh? Do I look sick?" I'm still confused.

The doctor shook his head quickly. "Ah, no. Its alright. I just ... Maybe it's just my feeling" he said awkwardly. She smiled with a slightly red face. His hand scratched his cheek at a glance with the tip of his index finger.

"Oh. Does anyone want the doctor to ask me again before I leave?" ask me before you really get out of there. The doctor shook his head again.

"none. Please if Ma'am Ayu wants to go home. Be careful on the road" he said again.

I smiled as I nodded my head. This time it was really quiet for the last time, then walked in the direction where there was my bike that was hot since about an hour ago. The doctor was still there and smiled at me as I started wearing the helmet. I smiled back and nodded my head at him.

Mom smiled happily as I gave the map to her, with round glasses perched on her nose, Mom started reading what was there. One by one, I read them.

"So when will the operation be performed?" ask Mom to me.

"It still needs to be talked about, ma'am. They are looking for the right schedule to perform this operation. Doctor Wira will also take part in this operation. You can hold on for a little while, right?" I asked by stroking Mom's arm. Mom just nodded her head slowly.

"Yes, of course. Mom will survive. It is still early stage, too. The doctor said it wasn't too bad either, right?" ask Mom to come back to me.

"It still hurts, doesn't it? Please be healthy always, yes. Take care of your health at any time. Don't let Mom get sick. Ayu will often look at Mom," I said by approaching and hugging Mom.

"Mom why never say to Ayu if Mom's head hurts so much?" I asked with annoyance, even though I had asked this as well before.

"Mom thinks it's just an ordinary headache. How do you know if there's something else here." Show Mom to her head.

"After this, you should be healthy. If you have any complaints, you should say to Ayu or Sinta, yes." My love for Mom. Mom nodded her head.

Mom turned her gaze towards the wall clock. "It's almost afternoon, Yu. You go home. Poor Hilman will soon be home from work," said Mother reminded. I just nodded slowly. It feels so lazy to go home, but if you don't go home, you'll definitely ask why I'm here longer.

"Yes, Mom."

Mom drove me to the porch. I hugged her before I actually left. Sinta just came after I sent her a message.

"Go home now, Ma'am?" ask Sinta to me.

"Yes, Sin. Mother's tipped ya. If there's anything immediately call Mama." I asked her while wearing a helmet on the head.

"Yes, Mother. Be careful on the road!" yells. I nodded then started the motor and ran it.

An hour's drive, I've reached home. I saw Mas Hilman's car in the garage. Not usually if he's gone home at three like this. Is he sick?

I shook my head. What's wrong with me? I've been thinking about finishing up with her after Mom's surgery. I have to start learning to forget about him, right?

"Assalamualaik." I entered the house, seen Mas Hilman sitting on the sofa with a dull face. His head was bent down. Hearing the greetings from me he lifted his head and answered the greetings.

"Waalaikum salam. You're home, Yu?" ask Mas Hilman to me. "How's Mom doing?" ask again.

"Good mother," I answered briefly and left her to go to the room.

"Yes." Call Mas Hilman after entering the room. I don't think he's following me.

"I want to talk to you."

"Speak what?" ask her. I put the bag I was wearing to the hanger behind the door.

"I'm fired."
