Chapter 95: 95
“Yes, he said I have a soul mate with this legacy,” Ryan said with a big smile on his face.
“What's what?” Both Miko and John exclaimed.
“What, you two are not in?” Ryan asked confusedly. He assumed because he had obtained the test approval, John and Miko would also do it. Surprisingly, he was the only one who succeeded.
“No, none of us came in. So, what do you get if it works?” John asked curiously.
“No. It is said to study stone tablets, and that's it.” Ryan replied.
“That's it? No treasure or weapons? That's a bit suck,” said Miko.
“Alright, try and see what happens,” urged John.
“Good.”
Ryan starts walking towards the tablet, and can walk past the invisible barrier that stops John and Miko. He walked up to the tablet, and felt a deep aura wash over it that he could not feel before.
Ryan sat down in front of the tablet and closed his eyes as he sent a heavenly feeling to the tablet. John and Miko watched Ryan sit quietly for more than an hour before Ryan finally opened his eyes wide in surprise.
“Friends, this is Witch Art. This tablet is a very extraordinary Witch Art.” Ryan cried out happily.
“Mage Art?” Miko asked in confusion.
“This is like a channeled attack that he launched on me during our fight. Ryan is called the War Witch, according to my father, and uses the Art of Mage,
“Oh,” Miko nods her head in understanding.
Both John and Miko now realize why they failed to get test approval. The test asked them to use their strongest attacks, and none of them attacked with the Mage Art. Clearly, only War Witches were capable of winning the test approval, and only the talented ones at that.
“How long will it take you to learn this art?” ask Miko. They had nothing to do here, and he hoped it wouldn't take long.
“Good. Careful.” John and Miko turned around and left the palace, leaving,
“How lucky is Ryan? The first thing we found, and it was a battle art that was perfect for her,” Miko said with depression.
“She may already feel abandoned by both of us, so she found her own luck here is a good thing for her,” John replied happily. Although Ryan did not say anything, John knew that he felt the pressure of being abandoned by the two of them, and he was able to fully understand the feeling. He had felt that feeling all his life before he could cultivate, and knew how terrifying it felt.
John and Miko leave the palace and continue walking towards the mountains in the distance. They continued forward for half a day before finally reaching the foot of the mountain range, at which point they saw a giant cave dug in one of the mountains. After arriving at the mouth of the cave, they peered into it, but only saw darkness.
“This cave is definitely not a natural formation, so I guess this cave is here for a reason,” John said as he continued peering into the darkness. He had sent his sense of divinity into the cave, but his range was exhausted before he could sense its end. Even Miko's heavenly senses, which were much stronger and could see further due to the soul variant and its powerful cultivation, were unable to see the end.
“Yeah, standing here won't solve anything. Come in.”
John and Miko strengthened their nerves and stepped into the darkness. They used their sense of divinity to see where they were going while they continued their journey deeper and deeper into the mountainside.
After nearly thirty minutes of walking, both John and Miko saw the light further into the tunnel.
“Ringan! There's something down here!” miko exclaimed as she ran forward quickly. John wants to proceed with caution due to his father's warning, but chases Miko towards the light.
“Hei, wait!” John exclaims as he chases Miko. Both of them arrived at the bottom of the cave, and could see the light source.
“A door!” Miko exclaims.
At the end of the tunnel, on the wall of the cave was a door made of light. None of them could see it, but it reminded them a little of the gate to the pocket world.
“Come in! I don't feel any danger coming from door” Miko said and stormed towards the door. Due to her powerful soul variant, Miko is much more sensitive to danger, and her soul often warns her of the dangers around her. However, he did not feel any danger coming from the door, and continued towards him without caution.
John sees Miko stepping through the door and disappearing, and decides to trust her friends' instincts and steps in as well. Light rules John's vision for a few seconds, before he suddenly finds himself alone again in a strange room.
