Chapter 130: 130

“Murid outside? How come? They were in the middle Qi Condensation Realm at the age of fourteen!”

John couldn't believe it. He had thought they would at least become inner disciples, or maybe even core disciples, but the reality was far from that.

Elder Ragur chuckled.

“As I said, only the most talented young man in the entire continent can enter our sect. Hopefully this will paint a good picture of how hard you have to work to succeed in this place.”

John nodded in agreement, but was still a little dazed.

‘This text continues to surprise me. But the stronger, the greater my chance to go home.’

While thinking about the house, John decided to ask Elder Ragur again about Leah and Elliot.

“Older Ragur, I met Leah and Elliot in my homeland, and they said that they were on a sect mission, but did not say anything more. Why did they get to my homeland, if so far away and dangerous to reach? ?”

If Leah and Elliot can get to his homeland, maybe John will be able to come back the same way.

Elder Ragur sighed and shook his head slightly.

“Unfortunately, it's not easy. This sect has reason to search your homeland, and a large group of disciples were escorted by the Heaven Tribulation Elder there, as he also has some affairs to settle. The only real safe way.to make it across the Great Desert must be escorted by a Heaven Tribulation cultivator, but getting their help is sometimes harder than crossing the Great Desert alone.”

“Then, if they are on a mission, do missions often go to the country? Could it be that I didn't join one of those missions?” ask John expectantly.

Elder Ragur shook his head once more.

“I'm afraid the mission they both did was quite special. Moreover, no other missions have visited the land in decades, so I will not rely on any other missions that appear for a while.”

John hopes to get a good response that leaves room for him to go home, but quite the opposite. He thought about perhaps telling the Elder about pocket nature as a bargaining chip to return home, but his clan's rules forbid revealing pocket nature no matter the reason.

‘If push comes to shove, I should probably reveal it. But in the meantime, I will keep it a secret and try to find another way home, or at least a way to send a message to my clan.’

John looked back at Elder Raur and asked another question.

“So without the help of the Heaven Tribulation Elder, I cannot cross the Desert? Didn't you say that a Meridan Forging Cultivator could cross over?”

“They can, but the road is still dangerous in that nature, so most choose to avoid it. Only Heaven Tribulation experts are completely safe in that place,” Elder Ragur replied.

John stopped asking questions, and was deep in thought.

‘So it seems like I should reach the Forging Meridian myself, or get some help from the Heaven Tribulation Elder.

Eventually, the two of them made it to the courtyard of the Enforcement Hall.

Unlike the other sects, which were white, gold, and blue in color, the enforcement hall had a darker color, and the building was mostly black and deep red. His architectural style was also more foreboding, giving off a frightening feeling in the Enforcement Hall.

Elder Ragur noticed John's curious gaze into the buildings and laughed slightly before explaining.

“The field of the Enforcement Hall is darker, and the architecture is more brutal to cause fear in the disciples. If they were taken to a cheerful place to be punished, do you think they would be afraid?”

“I don't think so,” replied John.

“Come, I'll show you your room.”

The Enforcement Hall courtyard has dozens of buildings of various sizes and purposes. The largest of them is the Hall of Judgment, where those who make mistakes are brought to be decided on their punishment, as well as imprisoned if necessary on the ground below.

The two of them walked to one of the smaller buildings, which was still several floors high and several hundred meters wide.

The elder took John to a certain door, and pushed him open.

“This is your room. You can stay here until the entrance exam begins. I'll be back in a few days to give you some chores, but in the meantime keep you at home. Don't stray from your room. Field Enforcement Hall, because you are not yet a true disciple.”

John nodded his head and thanked the Elder for his help, before entering the room and closing the door.

The room was a width and a length of several tens of meters, and was quite spacious by John's standards. It contained a bedroom, kitchen, as well as a mediation room. John entered the meditation room, which was also quite spacious, and inhaled a deep breath of fresh air.

“The Qi density in the air is a little higher than usual around here. There must be a formation that collects Qi here.”

John sat down and took a meditative position. He calmed his mind and cleared the exaggerated thoughts.

“It has been quite a while since the last time I cultivated. With the pocket world and everything after that, I haven't been able to cultivate in a few months. Given the strength of the youths in this sect, and with the entrance examination at three months, I will have to pursue some matters. I think it's time I enter the Qi Condensation Realm. ”
