Chapter 67: 67
Barden turned to John and patted him on the back. “Go. I'll be in the stands with the rest of the clan. Good luck.”
John nodded his head and saw his father and most of the clansmen walking towards the stands before he turned around and joined his other clan juniors in walking onto the stage. Other powers followed him, and soon more than eighty juniors were on the stage.
Waylon looked at the crowd of boys and girls for a while before she continued.
“There are eighty-four participants. Since the case is like this, we will use the featured format to decide which of the bottom twenty participants will be eliminated. The bottom forty participants would fight each other, and the twenty losers would be eliminated. That will leave us with sixty-four participants, at which point we can continue without a spin until the winner is crowned. Any quentions? “
A junior of the Flowing River Sect raised his hand and asked a question. “How will we be seeded?”
“A very good question,” replied Waylon and pointed to the ten-foot-tall stone tablet behind him before continuing. “This stone tablet behind me is a Qi Formation Tablet. By putting your palm on the tablet and sending out your strongest Qi bursts into it, it will measure how strong your Qi Spikes are at their peak, and we will sort according to those rankings. . The strength of Qi is not always the same as fighting strength, as fighting techniques and battle instincts allow a weaker person to win against someone with a stronger Qi, which is not the same as the strength of a person, but that's a good estimate for this tournament. ”
The girl nodded her head after Waylon explained the breeding process.
“There are other questions?”
No one had any further questions, then Waylon Varis continued the seeding process.
“We will start with the Varis Clan, then the Flowing River Sect, the Ronan Clan, the Fenix Clan, and lastly the Crimson Valley Sect.”
Waylon Varis turned to his daughter Ella Varis who was on stage and urged him to start the trial. Ella was almost fifteen years old like John, and had just entered the Fog Creation Realm recently. Ryan looked at Ella with an infatuated look as he walked towards the stone tablet, an action that John did not miss.
“Are you finally going to talk to him today?” John asked Ryan.
Ryan regained his senses and looked at John with a timid smile. “Uhhh, maybe. We'll see later.”
John rolled his eyes because Ryan was not confident but did not say anything. The two of them watched as Ella Varis walked up to the tablet and placed her hand on the circular engraving in the center of the tablet. After a few seconds of focusing, Ella pushed the Qi from her dantian and entered the stone tablet as hard as she could.
The carvings and marks on the tablet begin to emit a very beautiful blue color for a few seconds before the color fades and the tablet returns to normal. The blue number immediately appeared on the top of the tablet.
A smile appeared on Waylon's face when he saw the number his daughter produced.
“Hei, passable. Six Hundred. Looks like Ella might have a chance of escaping into the pocket realm.” Amidst the crowd, Cade and his three sons, Orenn, Rodi, and Barden were chatting about the results of the Qi test.
Barden nodded at the words of his father. “Waylon is really proud. His son, Miko, is truly a genius, and his own daughter is extremely talented.”
“I just hope someone from our group can put on a good performance like Parker.” Orenn spoke of his son's performance, and Parker, who sat close to the site, had a big smile on his face.
Barden looked towards his brother Orenn and smiled before replying. “Oh, I think you will be very surprised today.”
Orenn looked at his brother and then towards the crowd of Fenix youths. “I still don't know what your son thinks of participating in this tournament. With the middle Fog Creation cultivation, the only thing he would do was to humiliate himself and our clan.”
Back on stage, Ella Varis had finished her exam and so had the other Varis Clan. The highest score achieved was six hundred and thirty by a sixteen year old boy. Ella Varis was third for her clan, while the lowest score was three hundred.
Waylon Varis nodded his head satisfied at the result before he turned towards the group of Flowing River Sect and pushed them forward. Some of the participants scored between three hundred and five hundred before a boisterous murmur erupted among the crowd. A tall and muscular boy stood in front of the stone slab, his long brown hair flowing behind him.
“Six hundred fifty, it's new highest score.
“Who is it?” ask the others in the crowd.
“That's Dalton. He was the number one genius for this group from the Flowing River Sect. I heard he's still fourteen years old, that's amazing.”
“Wow, she may be favorite to win.”
Dalton looked at his number on the tablet as a satisfied smile appeared on his face. He walked back to his group and was greeted with happy cheers. The other Flowing River Sects then tested themselves, but none of them equaled Dalton's number.
Waylon once again nodded his head in recognition at the imposing group of youths before he turned to the Ronan Clan and urged them to test. For the Ronan Clan, the highest exam figure was also six hundred and fifty, and was owned by a young girl named Joy Ronan. She had a petite body and a bright face, and her long blonde hair fell onto her shoulders, making her quite popular among the many boys in the crowd.
After the Ronan Clan was done with their tests, Waylon turned to the Fenix Clan youth and urged them to come forward. Ryan was the first to walk to the tablet. He took a deep breath on the tablet before he placed his hand in the middle circle and pushed his Qi into it.
A dazzling blue light started flashing from the tablet before it finally subsided.
“Six hundred. Good work.” Waylon Varis said to Ryan while noting the number.
Ryan smiled happily as he turned towards the Fenix Clan group.
“Haha, tolerable. Your number has been in the top twenty so far. You really have a chance in the pocket realm!” John congratulated Ryan when he returned to the group.
“Not bad,” replied Ryan with an indifferent comment, but the thin smile on his face betrayed his emotions.
John shook his head at Ryan's actions and watched some of the Fenix Clan's youths ride up to be tested. The highest number in the group so far was six hundred and twenty-five from Grant Fenix. Grant Fenix smiled at his score and proudly walked back towards the group.
Ryan scoffs at his proud antics and whispers to John. “He's acting very proud but he's been sixteen.
John laughed lightly at Ryan's comments but said nothing, as the matter had nothing to do with him.
John waited until it finally came his turn, where he began to walk towards the stone slab.
He felt several heavenly senses pass him by, where just then a loud laughter broke out throughout the crowd.
