Chapter 127: 127

A quarrel!

The clothes on John's shoulder were instantly shattered, and lightning struck his shoulder before sneaking into his body, trying to crush him from within.

‘It's weaker than lightning in the trial. I believe the experiment was upgraded to a cultivation level, otherwise, how could someone as weak as me succeed but worthy heavenly geniuses enter the eyes of dead artifact spirit? Wasn't the ordeal a little too harsh back then?’

John was deep in thought while lightning struck all over his body. Although it caused some damage to his body, opening a slight wound on his body, it was nothing to worry about. Wherever the lightning passed by, the lightning marks on his body would light up, changing his lighting slightly. However, John was unable to control this lightning like he did to the other lightning he had encountered before?

‘Why is that so? Can I not gain control over the lightning from other cultivators? That was the only difference I could think of between this and the experiment, which was ownerless lightning.

While John was thinking this, the man's face widened in shock. The lightning marks that lit up on John's skin and inside his body did not go unnoticed.

“She...She really has a lightning attribute body.and it is a level that even I can't identify her” thought the man in a daze.

He did not trust John at all, but the truth was clear for him to see. Not only did John not receive much damage from the lightning, the lightning runes clearly showed the lightning attribute body.

The man's confusion quickly turned into excitement.

“Wah, you said your name was John, right?”

John nodded his head in affirmation, and waited for the man to continue.

“John, I'm Elder Ragur. Your situation is really.unik. According to tradition, we only allow those who pass the annual entrance exam to join our Heavenly Lightning Sect, but.maybe an exception can be made.”

The man said a few words to the drake, and the drake suddenly changed direction, heading straight for the large palace in the middle of the sect. John watched with admiration as the drake approached the sect grounds. Each building was built with expertise far beyond what it was capable of in its homeland, and the sect looked like an eternal paradise getting closer to it. White seems to be the main color of the building, with blue and gold accents that make it look majestic and majestic.

After flying over hundreds of buildings as they approached, the drake finally landed on a large courtyard right in front of the palace. Thousands of people, ranging from teenagers to adults, walked along the vast courtyard, and many quickly made way for the huge drake.

Thump!

The drake landed hard, attracting the attention of many people in the area.

“That's Elder Ragur! Who's the boy? I've never seen it before,” said a girl of about fifteen.

“I don't either. I wonder why he's with Elder?” answered a boy nearby. Similar conversations quickly broke out regarding the identity of the newcomer.

Elder Ragur turned to John.

“Close with me, and remember your manners.”

John nodded his head and jumped off the drake.

A large, wide marble staircase extends upwards for a hundred meters before being greeted by the huge pillars lining the top of the staircase. The palace stretches for miles in every direction, making it difficult to see the entire structure. The top pierces the clouds above.

A large, tens of meters high entrance was behind the pillars, and guards were placed on each side of the entrance.

“Older Ragur,” The guards greet him respectfully, and Elder Ragur replies to them.

John respectfully followed behind Elder Ragur, making as little fuss as possible. They both entered the palace.

He immediately noticed the large design inside the brightly lit palace. Decorative sculptures, intricate paintings, potent weapons, and more hang on the walls throughout the palace's main lobby.

Elder Ragur walked directly through the main lobby and into the main hallway, which cut directly into the heart of the palace. Many of the side aisles caught John's attention as they walked, and he could see many people were busy with their affairs.

Although he did not send his common sense not to be rude, John could clearly say that the strength of these people was impressive. The weakest ones let out Core Formation fluctuations, while many gave John the same impression as Elder Ragur did.

After walking for a few minutes, a large double door appeared in John's sight. Two dazzling blue lightning bolts were carved on both the left and right doors.

Elder Ragur turned to John once more.

“Remember to respect. Don't speak unless there is a question.”

John nodded his head and followed behind Elder Ragur. With a flick of Elder Ragur's hand, the huge door began to open. The two of them stepped in, and were greeted by a large spacious room. At the very end of the room, an ornate staircase stretches upward to the grand throne. The stairs zig-zagged and zagged slightly, giving the impression of lightning, while the throne emanated strong lightning fluctuations.

‘Just sitting on that throne is impossible for me!’

A rather old man sat on the throne, reading some documents in his hands. He looked completely unperturbed by the lightning striking his throne and body.

John could see that despite looking a bit old, the man was full of vigor and strength. He had long silver hair and a clean and warm shaved face.

The man looked up from his documents and looked at the approaching Elder. A smile immediately appeared on his face as he spoke.

“Elder Ragur, it has been quite a while since the last time you came to see me. What's the show this time?”

Elder Ragur slightly lowered his head in honor and spoke while gesturing to John at the side.

“Csect Leader, I have brought this brat here for your examination, and consideration for entering into our sect.”

The man looked from Elder Ragur to John, and John quickly felt himself almost overwhelmed by the man's examination. Although it was not physical strength that suppressed him, John felt as if the man's eyes were piercing through his soul, making him feel as if all of his secrets were being uncovered before the man. The man's eyebrows slightly raised, and a friendly warm voice spoke.

“Oh, you have lightning attribute body?”

The man's words surprised John. He had identified his lightning attribute body with just his eyes, and had not even used his sense of divinity yet. Since the marks on his body had long since faded, John was sure that one could only tell that he had a lightning attribute body when they lit up, but this man had identified him with a single glance.

Whooshing sound!

The air quickly parted, making a slight sound, and John suddenly found the man standing right in front of him, his eyes staring straight at him as if wanting to strip away all his secrets.
