The Asura Immortal Asuras

The Asura Immortal Asuras
CHAPTER 64: 64

Chapter 64: 64

The journey to the Varis clan took two days. On that trip, John had seen many villages and towns passing by, all of which were under the protection of the Fenix Clan or the Varis Clan. Although the two clans were several hundred miles apart, they possessed all the land between them, as proof of their strength.

John had spent two days traveling by train by practicing the Supreme Battle Art. Although he could not completely release it inside the carriage without damaging the carriage, John could circulate his Qi according to the technique without using it, which allowed him to feel a better technique. John also tried to cultivate the Supreme Fighting Body just to see if there were any additional benefits to his body, but the cultivation technique was unable to change his body at all.

John guessed the reason was that the Eternal Asura Body was a high-level body cultivation art, so his body was already stronger than anything the Supreme Fighting Body could provide. The only problem with the Eternal Asura Body was that it was limited by the cultivation level of the Dantian essence, as being too far away from cultivating its essence resulted in a mutter that split that head and soul. Also, cultivation techniques require the blood essence of a beast or a human, which is troublesome.

When cultivating the Eternal Asura Body to the late Fog Creation Realm, John was able to tell that the effects of the beast blood essence were getting less and less powerful. With his constant speed, John imagined that human blood would be the only reasonable way to develop the technique, which would be a big deal.

John placed his chin on top of his hand as he stared out the window of the carriage as it sped up. Fresh morning dew is seen in the leaves and grass of the tree, while a thin mist coming from the nearby Skycleave Mountains hangs in the air, giving a subtle shine to the morning sun.

‘The essence of human blood will be a matter ahead when cultivating the Eternal Asura Body, but I also refuse to stop cultivating it. It's too powerful and deep for me not to use it. I just have to figure out a way to obtain the essence of human blood in a way that I can accept without sacrificing my morals. ‘

Although John was not a saint, he was not a demon either. He refused to slaughter indiscriminately just to cultivate his Immortal Asura Body. Not only that, but the blood he needed came from cultivators, and they should at least be at his cultivation level, after all, so it was not like he could go around slaughtering innocents for their blood essence, not that he would do so if it worked.

Finding abundant sources of blood essence from cultivators at his level or above would definitely be a high task that persisted throughout the entire cultivation journey of his body, but the gift of a very strong body is ultimately worth it.

“We will arrive soon.”

John was stirred out of his deep thinking by comments from his father. He looked ahead through the window of the carriage and saw a large gray stone wall in the distance. It stretched for miles in every direction, and many guards were seen patrolling on it. John looked over the wall and towards the courtyard of the Varis Clan that lay along the foot of the mountain. Just like the Fenix Clan, the Varis Clan was located opposite the Skycleave Mountain. Using their powerful cultivation, both clans were able to clear all the powerful beasts living near and on the mountain, and build their permanent clan grounds.

The Varis Clan was as big as the Fenix Clan, and also rich. Hundreds of large buildings can be seen lined up on the slopes of the mountain, while the morning sun shines through the thick fog that hangs in the air, caused by the many waterfalls inside the courtyard of the Varis Clan, which is the most beautiful, which makes the clan courtyard look like an eternal paradise.

“Dad, whose clan is stronger, our clan or the Varis Clan?”

Barden looked towards his son and thought for a moment before replying. “Our two clans are almost exactly the same in terms of strength, although our clan has a slightly stronger ace inside the hole.”

“Ace what is it?” John asked curiously.

John frowned at his father's response but said nothing.

‘If he keeps it even from me, then he must have a good reason to do so. It didn't really affect me in the end, so there was no point in urging him about it. ‘

John once again looked out the window of the carriage and watched the scene pass by. The contingent of carriages immediately arrived at the gate of the Varis Clan, where they were stopped by a large group of guards.

The Varis Clan Guards confirmed the identity of the Fenix Clan members, at which time they escorted them in and sent two guards to act as bodyguards to guide them to the tournament field. The carriage continued on to the Varis Clan, and John could see hundreds of people passing by on the busy street, doing their morning routine.

“It's been a few years since I've been here, but keep living as usual.”

The carriage continued to run for some time, and John watched the busy business district give way to the clan housing, and finally the retirement area. The tournament field was located right at the base of the Skycleave Mountains, and the towering mountains gave a deeper feeling to the battle arena. The carriage finally stopped, and a loud noise from the guards of the Varis Clan boomed, allowing everyone in the various carriages to hear.

“You have arrived at the Varis Clan tournament field. Enjoy your visit.”

The driver of John's carriage jumped up and walked over to open the carriage door. Barden Fenix got out of the carriage first, followed by John soon after. After leaving the carriage, John breathed in the fresh air early in the morning and looked around at the courtyard of the familiar Varis Clan. Although it had been several years since he had last year, John had spent quite a lot of time in the Varis Clan, including on the tournament field. Somewhat far away, John saw the carriages and cultivators of the Flowing River Sect, as well as the Ronan Clan, but was unable to see anyone from the Crimson Valley Sect.

Barden looked around and noticed the same thing. “The Crimson Valley Sect has always been the last to appear. They act as if everything and everyone has to wait for them b*n cocky.”

John agreed with his father's words. From what he had experienced so far about the members of the Crimson Valley Sect, they were all b*jing*n arrogant. John thought back to his last trip with the members of the Crimson Valley Sect, and a wide smile immediately appeared on his face. His gift to a group of boys was precious, and he was sure they would take revenge in this tournament.

“I look forward to what they can do.”

John thought of something and turned towards his father to ask him a question, but all he saw as he turned around was an inch from his face.
