Chapter 137: 137
“Turn All Creations. Reap All Dewa”
John had read these words before, which appeared at the very top of the page, but was still mesmerized by his incredible bravery.
“I don't know what a God is, but claiming to decide all creations is a big claim to be made.”
John's mind felt fascinated by these words, and he read them several times before glancing to the next part of the page. He had read this page before when he was in the Dreadel Kingdom, but came to the conclusion that he was too weak to learn it back then. Now that he was in the Qi Condensation Realm, John wanted to see if he could start using battle arts.
He knew a Supreme Battle Art that was extremely powerful to cultivate his body, but it did not have a great essence attack.
“The Myriad Annihilation Scythe is a great technique to use in the Fog Creation Realm, but now that I am in the Qi Condensation Realm, I will need a powerful new long-range attack.”
He continued to study the page.
“This page explains how the creator sees the essence of the sickle, and uses that understanding to unleash the powerful art of battle. However, this page contains only the first three steps, or stages, of the technique, and the rest is incomplete. ..but that is more than enough for now.”
John continued to read familiar pages, and his fingers traced each word as he read. He fell into a trance, and before he realized it, several hours had passed.
“Each step describes a very complex meridian and acupoint pathway for my Qi. First of all I have to use my understanding to transform my Qi essence into crescent Qi, where I follow the pathways throughout my body to release the technique. From what I know , this technique focuses on sharpness and speed, because the creator sees the scythe as the ultimate weapon that reaps life.”
He slowly but surely felt his scythe comprehension increase as he studied the courtyard for hours.
Qi contained a myriad of universal laws within it, and cultivators had to use their comprehension to isolate and refine the specific Qi they were looking for, at which point they would use that Qi in an attack. The more refined and pure the isolated Qi, the stronger the attack.
With days of studying the techniques in the Dreadel Kingdom, as well as today, John felt that his sickle comprehension and understanding of the techniques had reached a level he could try to use the first strike.
“I can't let go of this technique indoors. Since Elder Ragur has not returned yet, I must go outside and find a place to practice this technique. He said as long as I stay in the Enforcement Hall courtyard, I will be fine..”
John stood up and stretched his aching leg, as he had been sitting for hours. He walked out of his room, before quickly leaving the building as well. Dozens of Enforcement Hall buildings stretched into the distance, and John walked until he found a wide expanse of open ground between the buildings to practice his techniques. Although many Elders and Disciples were seen strolling the distance, this particular area seemed to be devoid of foot traffic, making it a good place to practice.
“This place should be good.”
A pitch-black scythe appeared in John's hand, and he calmed his mind as he thought of releasing his technique. Essence Qi started to accumulate within his dantian, and John did his best to isolate and refine it into sickle Qi.
He focused on this process for a few hours, making sure to isolate and filter out a fairly pure sickle Qi before attempting this technique.
“This technique has a very pure Qi sickle requirement even to try to release it, otherwise it will fail and potentially harm me.”
Many people from the Enforcement Hall had passed by, and noticed the unknown newcomer standing there in silence for several hours. Since he had yet to make any external attacks, the passing sect disciples had no idea what he was doing.
A small group of three male and two female students paused to see what John was doing. They seemed to be John's age, and wore the gray robes typical of law enforcement halls.
They had passed by the day before and saw him standing there, but paid no heed to it. However, they had just passed him again, and saw him standing in the exact same spot.
“See this boy, he has been standing there for almost half a day and not moving a single muscle,” commented one of the male pupils.
“Maybe she is slow in the head, although she seems quite interesting for some reason” one of the female disciples commented while chuckling. She has long brown hair tied into ponytails, and is quite attractive. His thin nose shot up slightly into the air, as if he was used to looking down on others.
One of the male disciples frowned for a moment before speaking as well. “You're right, he's probably slow in thinking considering he's only in the early Qi Condensation Realm despite being our age. I'll go “help” him.”
One of the boys turned to the girl who had just spoken and spoke to him in a slightly irritated tone.
“You just mentioned that he's interesting huh? You know how Roy feels about you, and what he does when you show interest in other boys.”
The girl pretended not to know with the boy's words. His eyes returned to the scene of Roy approaching the newcomer, and a hint of a smile appeared on his face.
John's eyes were still closed as he focused on refining his Qi into a crescent Qi that was pure enough to release his technique. He had completed this process internally for hours.
“Now!”
His eyes quickly opened happily, and John quickly raised his scythe before slashing it with all his might. An extremely sharp black and red saber Qi gathered on his sickle blade for a moment before flying out very quickly.
A sharp sound pierced the ears of everyone nearby, and many of the juniors nearby felt their bodies tremble slightly as they stared at the Qi attack.
John's face shone with excitement as he watched the attack fly by quickly. It was even sharper and faster than he had imagined, and he was overjoyed by the results of his first experiment.
However, his excitement quickly turned to shock as he watched the attack fly towards a young boy who was walking straight towards him.
“Heart-Heart!”
John shouted loudly. He was so focused on refining his Qi and releasing attacks, that he failed to observe his surroundings. He had chosen this place because it was secluded, and no one approached it all day, so John assumed it would be safe to unleash such an attack.
Roy casually approached John, when suddenly an attack aimed straight at him. He was surprised that the newcomer would suddenly attack him, but did not care considering the weaker cultivation of the boy.
However, Roy's eyes quickly became grim as he realized the attack made him feel a slight sense of danger, which really surprised him.
Slicing!
Roy quickly unleashed a profound movement technique, and barely managed to dodge the attack, which grazed his robe and cut a small section up his sleeve. The Qi attack sailed down to the ground below, and quickly dug into the ground.
Both Roy and John stared in shock at the attack that neatly split a very thin but deep line into the earth for nearly a hundred yards before finally disappearing.
Roy sighed in relief, before turning to John and looking at him with cold eyes.
“You dare attack me? If I don't break some bones in your body, you'll come down lightly.”
