Chapter 71: 71
John arrives at the arena not long after and jumps onto the platform, where he sees his opponent already standing there.
The boy seemed to be around fifteen years old, and had a stronger appearance than most people in the tournament. He was wearing a deep red robe, while an arrogant and arrogant smile hung on the boy's face and his arms were crossed on his chest as he looked at John as if he was an ant waiting to be destroyed.
John simply shook his head at the actions of the boy and walked towards the center of the platform.
“You know son, your luck was so bad to meet me in the first round. Based on what you said earlier, my sect told me to use my full strength to half cripple you. How about this, if you keep your knees down, apologize, and give up, I'll consider letting you go. ”
John looked towards the boy and started laughing but said nothing.
“What are you laughing at?” the boy asked, anger sounded in his voice. He wanted John to curl up, but was instead laughed at.
“Oh is nothing, I only remember the members of your sect that I tied up naked on a tree. Maybe I'll do the same to you” replied John with a slight smile on his face.
“Consider death!” The boy was really angry, and was about to attack John when the referee of the Varis Clan suddenly appeared between them and re-explained the rules.
“Do you have any questions? No? Good, then you can start.”
“Although I cannot kill or immobilize you, I can still make you wish you were dead.” The Crimson Valley Sect boys attacked John without a care. Even though he was in the bottom forty, his score on the Qi test was almost five hundred, much higher than John's. Not only that, but John was in the middle Fog Creation realm. In the eyes of the boy, John is a food to be eaten in any way he feels fit. The Crimson Valley brat was not worried that John would be able to fight back, and only hoped to destroy it instantly.
John watched with an indifferent look as the boy quickly approached him. He had not even taken out his weapon, due to the indifference he held for his opponent.
“ He leaves absolutely nothing for defense. He wanted to end it all with one move and humiliate me as much as possible. ‘
John calmly began to channel his body's Qi to be unleashed explosively as fast and as powerful as possible.
“It's over for you!” the boy shouted as he approached John.
The Crimson Valley Sect boy raised his sword over his head and started swinging it towards John as hard as he could. A strong Qi covered his sword as he used his strongest moves from the start, with the intent to end the fight in one fell swoop.
John watched as the sword began to move towards him and sneered before he quickly dashed forward under the boy raised his hand and raised his own.
Slap on!
A loud slap rang out as John's hand connected to the boy's face, which made him fly to the side tens of meters as he toppled over before finally stopping right before the edge of the platform.
‘Idiot, did he expect me to just wait for his long and easy-to-read technique to land on me? He had obviously never fought a life and death fight before. ‘
The boy had raised his sword high above his head, and his attack took a while to be channeled completely as he dashed towards John. John had all the time in the world to close the distance and give the boy a powerful slap. With his strong body cultivation and the boy holding nothing back for defense, the slap was quite effective.
Bang out!
John's full-powered kick connected with the boy's ribs, and the boy was thrown backwards like a bullet from the stage and into the stands tens of meters away. Dust and rocks were kicked as the boy smashed into the stone stands, and the sound of broken bones rang out clearly to the entire crowd. The Crimson Valley boy immediately fainted from the pain of John's attack.
The entire crowd fell silent, unable to understand what had just happened. The fight had just begun, and most of the audience thought John would lose almost instantly, but the opposite was true.
After a few seconds of silence, loud and joyous shouts from the stands echoed throughout the entire tournament area, while several Crimson Valley Elders quickly dashed towards the injured boy.
“Hahaha, good work John. You're right, it's even more refreshing than before. Keep showing Crimson Valley Assholes what you can afford.”
The astonished crowd turned towards the source of the voice, and saw Miko Varis standing up and cheering wildly. Miko continued to cheer until the elder of the Varis Clan forcefully sat down and silenced her.
A few seconds later, the crowd finally regained their senses, and a wild burst of various emotions burst forth.
“What just happened? How did that Fenix Clan boy win?”
“Isn't he supposed to be the weakest here?”
“Maybe his opponent is being lenient to him and the boy is taking advantage of him?”
“Taking advantage of that? Really? I'd like to see you defeat someone with a higher cultivation level like that in any situation. Another thing is happening here.”
Various discussions erupted throughout the crowd about the shocking outcome of the battle. Warren Gildar and the crowd of the other Crimson Valley Sect looked like they had swallowed a frog, while the crowd of the Fenix Clan started cheering after gathering their common sense.
The shocked expressions were clearly visible on Cade, Orren, and Rodi's faces as they looked from John towards Barden.
“Is this a good show you're talking about?” Orenn asked his brother Barden in great surprise.
“Hahaha, you know that. Do you really think I would allow my son to enter this tournament if he couldn't handle it?” Barden was very pleased with John's performance. Even though he expected John to win, he did not expect that he would win so soon.
“What technique has he just used to beat the kid that fast? The fight is over even before I can see it properly.” Orenn was completely shocked by the outcome of the fight, and was unable to understand how John had exploded with such great force. None of them had noticed the strong essence of the Qi fluctuations coming from John, so they were quite confused about how John had reached such a burst of strength.
“Stay watch. The answer to your question will be revealed soon,” replied Barden with a smile on his face.
The Referee of the Varis Clan had been astonished this entire time with results, and had finally managed to gather his wits. He coughed a few times, before loudly announcing the outcome of the fight.
“Winner of this fight, John Fenix.”
