CHAPTER 125: 125

Chapter 125: 125

‘Secte of Heavenly Lightning? Isn't that the sect that Leah and Elliot said? Then..that means I am in the Holy Land of the Yuan Continent!’

Although he hopes to find himself quite far from home based on everything he has just seen, John is still shocked to know the exact location. Based on what his father said, returning would most likely be a problem. But he must return, due to the plans of the Crimson Valley Sect, as well as Parker's betrayal.

“As I said, I was kidnapped, and it seems my kidnapper has taken me very far from home .. How do I get back to ..”

John stops when he tries to explain where he came from. It was known as the Yuan Continent at home, but he was sure that these people were here, they knew it as something different.

“Back to what?” the man asked puzzledly as John paused in the middle of his sentence.

“Uh..we call it Yuan Continent.”

“This is the Yuan Continent,” the man replied confusedly.

“Isn't this the Holy Land of the Yuan Continent?” John asked.

“Yeah, yes, but this is the Yuan Continent, as well as the Holy land of the Yuan Continent. The Holy Land refers to the area controlled by the four big sects, while this and the entire continent is the Yuan Continent,” replied the man.

John scratched his head as he thought of a better way to describe the house.

‘It seems like everything that does not exist in the Holy Land is just called the Yuan Continent in general, so I have to be more specific.’

“Hmm, let's see. My home region is controlled by the Varis Clan, the Fenix Clan, the Flowing River Sect, the Ronan Clan, and the Crimson Valley Sect. Do you know that area?”

The man racked his brain before shaking his head.

“No, I don't think I've heard of that….Wait, it seems like I've heard of the Fenix Clan before. There was a promising young junior all those years ago who came from there, but he disappeared without a trace. I always wondered what happened to her.”

John's eyes sparkled as the man recognized his clan. Even though he didn't know who he was talking about, this was still good news.

“Ya, Fenix Clan's home region. How to get back there?” John asked in an excited tone.

The man shook his head before answering.

“You better think twice about going back there in the near future. That place was almost a hundred thousand miles away. Not only that, but many danger zones exist between us and them. And then there was the Great Desert, which engulfed the Core Formation experts left and right, and even Meridian Forging Experts had to be careful. I'm worried like you are now, you won't be able to come back at all.”

The man's explanation completely extinguished John's hope. Since his father had traveled twice, he thought it might be a bit easy, but it didn't seem so.

“Is there no other way? Like a caravan or something? Surely someone must travel that often?” John asked, but he knew the answer was most likely no.

“No, it doesn't seem. The place did not have much to offer to the Holy Land, and so many did not go there because of the enormous risks and minimal rewards.”

John lowered his head in disappointment.

‘I need to get word back to the clan before it's too late. Either I need to bring my cultivation to the Meridian Forging Realm before returning, or I need to try sending a message somehow. Getting to the Meridian Forging Realm was only a matter of time, but by the time I did, it might be too late. As for the message, I don't even know how to do it yet.’

He constantly racked his brain to find a solution, but was unable to find any solution.

John thought of Leah and Elliot, and the badge they gave him quickly appeared in his hand.

“Maybe they can help me.”

The man saw an object appear in John's hand, and his eyebrows slightly raised as soon as he realized it.

“How can you get that item?” ask the man curious.

“I met two people my age, male and female, who claimed to be from the Heavenly Lightning Sect. The girl finally gave me this badge, and said to use it to meet them if I had ever been in the area. Can I go and see them?”

“Hmm? If he gave you this badge, he would have thought of you a lot. Let me see that badge.”

John handed over the badge, and the guard checked it before another item quickly appeared in his hand. The man stood there in silence for some time before he returned the badge to John.

“I'm afraid they're both on a sect mission, and won't be back for another six months. Without them in the sect personally escorting you, I cannot let you enter the sect,” replied the man while shaking his head.

John's hopes were quickly shattered. He hoped that sect members like them could help him, but that too would not happen.

‘I am nobody in this country, and I am sure my accumulated wealth is invisible in a place like this. The only way for me to get real help is to make a name for myself, make myself important enough that others want to help me ..

John once again turned to the man and asked him a question.

“Then, is there any way I can join your sect?”

“Hahaha,”

The man was not prepared for such a question, and could only laugh at John's naivety. He quickly noticed the serious expression on the child's face, and regained his composure once again.

“Wah, I can clearly say that you are not from around here based on your desire to return to that distant land, so I will forgive your ignorance. Let me explain. The Heavenly Lightning Sect was one of the four great sects. This land, and tens of thousands of juniors tried to enter it every year.”

The man paused to see if John got the picture, but his stern face remained unchanged. He slightly shook his head and continued.

“I know you are about fourteen or fifteen years old.”

“I was only fifteen a few weeks ago,” John replied with a nod of his head.

“Well, out of the tens of thousands of juniors who joined the trial to enter the Heavenly Lightning Sect, the lowest cultivation is in your region, the Creation of the Late Fog, while the majority are in the Qi Condensation Realm. Frankly, you are too weak to join the sect.”
