The Asura Immortal Asuras
CHAPTER 40: 40

Round 40:40

John had his heavenly sense spread out the entire time he attacked the vault, just in case any guards tried to attack him. Just as he was about to enter the vault, John felt someone quickly approach him.

He quickly turned around and readied his scythe, when suddenly someone appeared in front of him.

The peng!

The sound of the sword colliding sounded.

“Quick grab the item. I'll hold this one” cried Austin while blocking the guards' attack. John was quite surprised by Austin's actions. From what John could see, Austin was already heavily injured. Blood stained his black robe in several areas, hinting at the damage he had gotten from the fierce fight. Even so, Austin still took the initiative to block the attack for John.

John is conflicted about whether to help Austin or get the item, as another loud shout resounds.

“GO! I'll be fine, just grab the item so we can get out of here!” shouts Austin again.

“Sky Piercing Sword” shouted Austin as he sent a sharp attack towards his enemy. His enemy was thrown slightly behind, where Austin darted forward and sent another powerful attack.

John watched the exchange happen before he finally turned around and entered through the hole in the vault.

John looked around and quickly inhaled a breath of cold air. Around the vault lay precious items; gold and silver chests and gems were numerous, and the vault included other exotic items that John had no idea what they were. John swept his eyes across the room, looking for the item he came here with.

“Ah, that's it,” exclaimed John while running forward quickly.

An ornate spear was mounted on the wall in front of John. It had a very detailed golden-colored shaft, and a dark blue spear blade. A powerful aura emanated from his weapon.

“Class Core Formation weapon?” John exclaimed in shock.

Core Formation-class weapons were extremely valuable. Even his powerful Clan with over ten thousand members only had a few dozen of these weapons, and only Core Formation Elders were allowed to use those weapons.

John reached out his hand and grabbed the spear.

The explosion!

Loud explosions echoed as the spear fell to the ground, its weight much heavier than John was able to support.

“How heavy!” john exclaimed as he looked at the spear. He quickly bent down to pick up the spear and channeled huge waves of Qi from the ball dantian into this body. John gritted his teeth and could barely lift the spear an inch off the ground, but this was all he needed.

The spear quickly disappeared as John kept it in his storage ring. To store objects in a spatial area, the user is required to be able to move the object physically. If an object is too heavy to be moved by a cultivator or firmly embedded into the ground, it cannot be pulled into the spatial area of the storage ring. John quickly turned around and planned to leave the vault before stopping.

A mischievous expression appeared on his face as he turned to the chest containing gold and jewels. The three chests quickly disappeared from the room.

“Please say this is payment for his son's actions a few days ago. Besides, I only took part of the crate and not all of it. I really am a good person” John rubbed his nose as a timid smile surfaced on his face.

After storing the treasure, John quickly walked out of the vault. His eyes slightly widened at the sight before him. On the ground were all the guards from the previous battle, as well as a few cultivators.

John quickly ran towards the group, where he saw one of the side doors had been opened and someone was inside.

“That?” That's Duke's son? Why is he chained? “

Inside the room was the Duke's son. He was chained to the wall of the room, and had some long wounds on his body, seemingly made of whips.

“He looks very miserable. It seems like Duke is very unhappy with his son” actions John thought as he ignored the boy and ran towards the group of cultivators. As he approached the group, John heard the lonely man speak.

“Who are you? Do you know who you're attacking? This is Duke Trommel's residence. You will be executed because of this” shouted the man. That man is Sebastian. He had descended shortly after the loud explosion resounded, where he found himself ambushed by another powerful late Mist Creation realm cultivator.

His battle raged for some time, but he was unable to defeat his enemy. He could only watch desperately as all of his fellow bodyguards were slaughtered by a group of unknown men. After all the guards were slaughtered, the,

Unable to make it out of this siege, the guards attempted to use the Duke's status to frighten those people.

The group of cultivators heard John approaching from behind, where the white-haired man turned around.

“Do you have it?” ask the white-haired man.

John nodded affirmatively, where the white-haired man once again turned towards Sebastian.

‘We know exactly who we are dealing with. Since we had our purpose come, you can now die! ”

A powerful attack flew towards the cultivator as all the men except John attacked with their most powerful moves. A look of horror and despair swept across Sebastian's face as he charged out with the most powerful attack.

The explosion!

The ground was violently shaken and the underground chamber was half destroyed due to the force of the attack. As the dust settled, all the man could see was a huge hole in the ground with Sebastian's mutilated corpse in the middle, a look of despair still visible on his face.

“We have a goal we came. Let's go before reinforcements come” the white-haired man said before running towards the stairs. John and the other group quickly followed as they ran up and out of the mansion.

Duke Trommel stood on the top floor of his mansion and gazed out his window. He saw a group of seven men running out from the main entrance and into the distance before finally disappearing in the darkness of the night.

The duke quickly turned around and walked towards the basement. Shock soaked his face as he looked at the battlefield. He looked at Sebastian with a hint of sadness in his eyes.

“Sleep soundly, old friend” whispered Duke before walking past his body. He eventually finds himself in the vault, his suffering turning into rage when he sees what is missing from within.

He quickly took out a small round disk from his storage ring and channeled his Qi into it. The disc lights up, indicating a point moving further and further away from the center of the round disc.

“So you think you managed to steal from me? We see who last laughed” murmured Duke in a cold voice, his eyes fiery with anger.
