The Asura Immortal Asuras
chapter 1: 1

Chapter 1: 1

In the vast and endless expanse of space, only the stars glittering in the distance could be seen, shining intensely throughout the cold and lifeless void.

However, within the endless void appeared an enormous beam of power, tearing apart the structure of space itself wherever it passed through it. After innumerable years of breaking through the boundless dark space, the line descended onto a desolate planet at the edge of the universe.

At that moment, the darkness of night changed with daylight as the line fell onto the planet, shaking the nearby landmasses and splitting them apart. After the dust settled, only ruins and destruction could be seen for tens of thousands of miles in each direction.

From all over the continent and its surroundings, thousands of experts descended to the broken ground, searching for anything that caused great damage. However, the search did not yield results. From that day on, a legend was born about a heavenly meteor with apocalyptic powers that descended to the ground, destroying everything it passed through.

Thousands of years passed, and the legend turned into a myth.

The forest of the Skycleave, at the foothills of the Skycleave mountains, is a stretch of forest that stretches thousands of miles in each direction. Located at the foot of the Skycleave Mountains, vast unexplored forests hold secrets known only to experts. Inside the bushes, ferocious beasts could cultivate their bodies and become attuned to the surrounding elements, so that a wide variety of magical beasts could be found there. Due to the dangers associated with magical beasts, most humans avoided the forest out of fear.

A deafening roar echoed throughout the forest as a group of wolves were seen running after someone. The midday sun shone through the forest canopy, revealing a boy who had wounds all over his body. He gasped as he ran away from the wolf. His long black hair, tied behind his head, bounced behind him, while his sharp black eyes focused on the obstacles ahead. His physique was much smoother than expected his age, and he had no problem avoiding wolves. He reached a clearing in the forest, a Pagoda tree stood on a small puddle, its leaves bright green. It was thirty meters tall with a trunk ten meters wide.

As the boy paused for a moment to look at the poetic scene, a wolf swarmed over from the bush to his left. The boy turned around and in a flash his great sword slashed the wolf on the head. The savage beast did not try to dodge the blow and was struck on the shoulder, the sword broke the wolf's skin and the blade struck the shoulder joint. The impact made the wolf lose its balance due to the weight of the great sword. The wolf continued its attack, trying to claw at the sword-wielding arm of the boy, but it was too slow to notice the kick that followed the sword slash.

The wolf flew to a nearby tree just a few meters away, at which point the boy kicked the ground and ran towards the wolf, sticking his sword deep into the wolf's neck, killing it.

He pulled the sword out from the wolf's neck, blood spilled and covered the wolf's stomach completely. He quickly turned around, his long hair was draped behind him. Another wolf spared no time and in an instant, another wolf lunged at the boy. The boy raised his greatsword to block the attack. He managed to fend off the huge claw but was sent flying backwards thirty feet into a huge boulder.

“Gah!” the boy screamed in pain as his ribs nearly broke due to the force of hitting a rock. The boy wiped the blood from his lips, and slowly got up.

On it were seven wolves standing, growling and growling before simultaneously attacking the boy.

Suddenly, the ground slightly lifted as another boy fell in front of him. The force from his attack caused a small shockwave that repelled all the wolves. After slowly waking up, the wolf growled towards the newcomer, but decided not to attack the new threat and fled the scene.

“John, you really need to think of another way to practice. This training method will get you killed. That wolf is equivalent to an early body refining cultivator, while you are just an ordinary human.”

The new boy approached the boy on the ground, and helped him get up.

“Because I am a normal human being, I need to use this extreme method to become stronger. Every day I see you and the entire clan grow stronger, while I stagnate. By the way, thank you for cleaning up this mess Ryan. ” John replied.

John Fenix is the son of the Fenix clan leader's third son, Barden, and is fourteen years old. Due to circumstances that no one understood, John was unable to cultivate. His clan had hired countless medical doctors to figure out what was wrong with him, but no one could identify any problems with his body. From then on, John tried all sorts of crazy things, even fighting with powerful monsters, to try to activate his martial potential, but nothing worked.

“Haha don't mention that. This savage beast is not something worth fussing about.” replied Ryan. Ryan had short brown hair, an average face and a slender body, with a cultivation level in the early Mist Creation realm. He was the son of a powerful Fenix Elder clan, and had been John's friend ever since they were toddlers because they were the same age.

John smiled but did not answer. He looked back at the slightly turbulent ground of Ryan's attack, his gaze lingering before walking away with Ryan.

They walked out of the forest and down a large road before finally arriving in front of a large gate, with twenty-meter-high walls stretching several miles in each direction. As they approached the gate, the two stationed guards would stop the two newcomers, either,

“Welcome young master, did your forest expedition succeed?” ask one of the guards.

“Sangat” replied John.

Ryan could only smile wryly at the guard, but did not say anything. The two walked through the gate and into the clan courtyard. The clan they entered was the Fenix clan, one of the most outstanding forces in the area. The clan had nearly ten thousand members and controlled an area of several hundred miles in each direction. The clan grounds stretch along the northern side of the Skycleave Mountains, with majestic buildings, majestic waterfalls, and towering mountain peaks visible in the distance.

“Where will you go next?” ask Ryan.

“Let's go to Beast Trade Hall and sell this leather. Even though we get an allowance every month, the extra money doesn't hurt” replied John.

They turned to the path of the main clan, which was a hundred feet wide and a few miles long. Many shops, restaurants, and various other buildings were seen lined up on both sides of the street as far as the eye could see. Side streets could be seen every few hundred feet, branching off in the distance. The street is crowded with people as they go about their daily lives. As John and Ryan walked down the street, they were greeted by many people.

“Welcome back, young master. How was your trip to the jungle?” ask a middle-aged man.

“It's good. I get what I want from him” replied John.

“Does he still go out and fight the beasts in the forest? John, you're gonna get yourself killed. The sect leader will not be happy at all if it happens” said a middle-aged woman.

“Don't worry aunt May, I'm always careful when out to the forest” John said back with a smile. Ryan could only roll his eyes as the two continued on their way. They finally arrived in front of the three-story building, with various animal fur adorning the outside entrance of the building. Climbing the stairs and entering the building, they were greeted by the woman in charge of the Beast Trade hall. He looked to be around 25 years old and was quite handsome, with long black hair and large brown eyes.

“Oh, if not young master. What did you bring for me this time?”

“One Earth Wolf skin. What can we get for this Anne?” John asked as he took the beast out of his storage ring.

The storage ring is a pretty amazing creation. One only needed to think about opening the ring room, and the user would find their conscience within the dimension area. With another quick thought, the desired item will appear in the real world. Only through artistry and knowledge of celestial space could one create a storage ring.

The storage ring sits on his left index finger, and allows for easy travel without having to carry things around. Storage rings were quite rare in the mortal world, but the Fenix clan had the means to provide them to all their young masters. The storage ring John had was quite low, with about ten feet of interior space on each side.

“One Earth Wolf is worth fifty copper coins. Unfortunately you brought me a fairly low level one, so I can only offer this much” Anne said.

“Fifty copper coins fit me.” John answered while handing over his skin and collecting copper coins. After trading in leather, John and Ryan left the trading hall and proceeded to the residence of the main clan, which was located higher up the mountain slope. Turning in the corner of the building, John bumps into another boy, and falls.

“Note where you're going to dump the trash.” taunts the boy before continuing his journey. That boy is Parker Fenix. He had short black hair, and a face that always looked arrogant. She was fifteen years old and was John's older cousin. Parker's father, Orenn, was the first son of the clan leader, and Parker had a haughty attitude due to his status and talent as a Late Mist Creation realm cultivator.

After helping John to stand up, Ryan turned to look at Parker and muttered, “God, Parker is becoming more and more of a jerk every time we meet him.”

“Well, he is the strongest junior of our clan. I think it can get to your head in the end.” John replied as he looked at Parker before returning to Ryan. “By the way, I'll go home and take a shower. I'll go to the martial library tomorrow. You want to come to the library with me?” ask John.

“You know I'm not interested in studying weapons theory. All I need to do is become stronger than the enemy” replied Ryan.

John looked at Ryan for a moment before smiling and saying, “Alright, if you change your mind, you know where to find me. Later.”

John dusted off his black robe before walking towards his mansion, which he came to a few minutes later. The mansion was quite large, with a dozen rooms with various purposes, and a spacious courtyard that housed a large garden and a small private martial arts training area.

Walking through the garden, he entered his mansion and was greeted by a pleasant smell. He followed the smell to the kitchen, where he saw a woman cooking her favorite food. He looked to be in his thirties despite being older, the benefits of agelessness were obtained from cultivating. Her name was Rachel Fenix, and she had long black hair, dark brown eyes and a smile that would warm the hearts of anyone who saw her.

“I'm back, mother” shouted John. Rachel turned around with a smile on her face before jumping up slightly in surprise.

“You're hurt everywhere. Are you going to the forest again? I told you it was dangerous. There are ferocious beasts out there that even I would fear” exclaimed his mother while taking care of his injuries.

“It's okay, it's just scratches and bruises. They'll heal in a few days. Besides, you made me my favorite Gold Buffalo soup, so how could I let some injuries ruin my day” replied John. He walked towards the pot and picked up a spoonful of stew, blowing it to cool it down before tasting it.

“Enak as usual. When's dad coming home so we can enjoy dinner?” John asked just as the front door opened again and a man walked in. She has short brown hair, with a bushy beard and a slight scar on the right side of her face. The man was Barden Fenix, the third son of the clan leader, and also John's father. He was a powerful Core Formation expert, and one of the most prominent figures in the clan.

He sniffed the air before turning happily towards the kitchen.

“Welcome back, Father.” John said as Barden Fenix walked into the room. Barden looked at John's condition for a moment before laughing happily. He walked towards John and slapped his back while saying,

“I see you've come out against the beast again huh? Well, that's good, a man should be brave regardless of the situation. Did you manage to drop at least one?” barden asked with a smile on his face.

“Yes, managed to kill one Earth Wolf today. Ryan took the rest. By the way, now that we're all here, let's eat.” John replied while grimacing slightly in pain as his father patted the wound on his back.

The family sat at the dinner table and discussed the day's events. Barden details some of the problems the clan faces, however,

“They continue to be bolder, even though they have not dared to start a war head-on. I guess that was to be expected, but at least now it's not too serious” Barden said as he chewed some Golden Ox soup.

After he finished eating, John thanked his mother for the meal and went upstairs to take a bath. He washed all his wounds clean, put on a new black robe, and went to bed after a tiring day.
