CHAPTER 37: 37

Chapter 37: 37

After nearly a day of practicing the Myriad Annihilation Art, John finally succeeded. The strength of the attack exceeded his expectations. The scythe beam he had just sent out was much stronger than the melee attack from the mountain-destroying sword.

“Now I don't need to use the suicide attacks I've made before with my Mountain Destroying Sword and sickle!” John said with a smile. “The only problem is that this attack consumes quite a lot of my Qi. I could only execute him a few times before I ran out of Qi.”

Although the cost required to execute this attack was high, John was not unhappy. The higher the cost, the stronger the attack.

“I have the Mountain Destroying Sword, my Five-Step Movement Technique, and now the Myriad Annihilation Scythe. My combat strength continues to grow rapidly.”

John sat down and recovered his Qi for an hour before walking back to the royal gate.

John walked straight across the front line and showed one of the guards his entry letter, at which point he was granted access to the kingdom once again.

“I still have one day until the meeting. I have to return to the inn and cultivate. Every second of cultivation brings me closer to being strong enough to participate in the pocket world,” thought John, a determined expression on his face.

John was cultivating until late at night, at which point he went to sleep. Waking up early in the morning, John started cultivating once more before it was time to look for a vacancy.

John slowly opened his eyes. “I can feel my congestion getting weaker and weaker. One or two good fights and I should be able to climb up to the middle of Mist Creation.”

John anxiously awaits his ascension into the middle of Mist Creation. Not only would his Qi attacks grow stronger, he was also curious to see if he could once again raise his ball dantian to a new level. He kept trying to absorb more blood essence, but was unable to do so without almost going insane.

John walked downstairs and ordered breakfast from the inn. After breakfast, John went to the meeting place. The meeting place was located just outside the city walls, on the side of the highway.

John walked for a while before he left the city walls. After walking down the street for a few minutes, John saw a group of people gathered by the side of the road.

“This surely” thought of John as he approached the group. The group was roughly already ten people waiting, and they were all at least middle Mist Creation realm cultivators. John even saw a Mist Creation realm cultivator late. He was an older man with gray hair and a big beard. Most of the other cultivators were in their twenties or thirties.

As John approached the group, one of the cultivators turned around and looked at him. An amused smile appeared on the man's face as he spoke.

“What is this now? A little dwarf wants to join a group?” Several other men in the group looked towards John before laughing at the comment.

“Come now, he might just get lost. There's no way this kid thinks he's strong enough for this mission right?”

John stopped in front of the group and looked at the men but said nothing. The man who first spoke walked towards John and stood right in front of him, looming over him. The man was quite tall and seemed to be in his thirties. He has a bald head and a pockmarked face.

“What are you doing here son? You lost?” asked the man with a confused smile on his face.

John frowned at the man. He was deciding whether to answer the man or “show” his strength when suddenly the other group members spoke up and walked over to John.

“Come now. He was just a boy, there was no reason to bully him. Moreover, I'm sure you've already noticed his cultivation. Even though he was still in the realm of the Early Fog Creation, did you really think you had the right to speak? until a boy who's half your age but almost as strong as you? ”

The troublesome man looked towards the newcomer but did not say anything. He spat on the ground and looked back at John before turning around and once again joining the group.

John shook Austin's hand before replying, “My name is John. Nice to meet you.”

Austin smiled at John before asking, “While our friend over there was a bit of a jerk, his concerns are still a bit valid. This mission required an intermediate-level Mist Creation cultivator. Do you think you'll be able to follow him?”

“I'll be fine. You don't have to worry about me” replied John with a smile on his face. John's first impression of Austin was a good impression, so he was quite friendly towards him. One of John's mottoes in life is to treat others who respect him with respect, as well as reciprocate hostility with hostility.

“Good. But don't worry, I'll keep an eye on you in case something happens Austin said as he winked at John. John laughed but did not answer.

A few minutes later, a train stopped towards the group and a man jumped out. She was wearing luxurious business clothes and had quite a beautiful mustache. He looked at the group for a while before happily nodding.

“Gentlemen, I'm glad that many of you decided to receive my job notification. As written in the notice, I need a group of intermediate and higher level Fog Creation cultivators to help me. There would be some dangers associated with this mission, so anyone who was unwilling to take the risk would have to leave now. ”

All the groups looked at each other, but no one left.

“Good, looks like we have a brave group.” The man was about to continue speaking before he saw John in the group.

“What does a child do here?” She asked.

John was just about to respond when Austin spoke behind him, “Don't worry, I will vouch for him. He will not be a hindrance in this mission.” John looked at Austin, surprised that he would support him. Austin smiled at John and winked, before whispering, “Don't worry, I support you.”

The moustached man thought for a moment before nodding. “Alright then. He will be your responsibility in this mission. If he manages to cause trouble for us, I will withhold your payment and his payment at the end of.”

The man paused for a moment and looked around, seeing if there was anyone else nearby. As soon as he made sure that the beach was safe, he cleared his throat and spoke.

“Now, back to mission. The notice says this is an escort mission. That's a lie.”

John narrowed his eyes at the man's words but said nothing.

The man paused for a moment before speaking once more, “Due to legal reasons, I cannot post the actual mission. If anyone has a problem with doing something illegal, please leave now.”

The group once again looked around to see if anyone would leave, but no one left.

The man was relieved to see no one left. “Good, good. Now, be honest with all of you. The real mission is to break into Duke Trommels' house and steal something from him.”

John raised his eyebrows slightly. He had not expected the true mission to involve Duke Trommel.

“It looks like we have a related fate,” thought John, a small gift on his face.
