Chapter 65: 65

Bang out!

A loud voice rang out as the flying leg collided with John's face. All the members of the nearby Fenix Clan turned to the source of the voice, and were not surprised at what caused it, as it was a common occurrence every time the Fenix Clan and the Varis Clan met.

“Hahaha... .. wait, what?” Miko Varis had been laughing out loud right as her feet hit John's face, but her laughter quickly stopped abruptly as she landed on the ground.

He thought John would fly because of the power of his kick, but John stood firmly fixed in place. Not only that, there wasn't even a single scratch on John's face. Miko had heard that John was now a middle Fog Creation Realm cultivator, and had used the amount of power she thought it was necessary to send John flying without actually hurting him, he said, but I was surprised to see that there was absolutely no effect.

“What the fuck? Why don't you fly?” Miko doesn't understand how John is okay.

“I should have expected that much.” John looked at Miko in front of him and shook his head like a disappointed father. Although John was not ready for Miko's kick, his powerful body was able to take a punch without much scratch.

‘If he attacks me at full strength, I won't have a chance, but he holds too much there. Time to return the favor. ‘

Miko was about to ask John the same question again when John's right leg flew towards her from below. Miko's confusion had clouded her consciousness, and she had only noticed the right foot as she was about to connect with her chin.

Bang out!

Miko was thrown several feet up and back after John's legs collided with his chin.

‘I did not use my full strength because Miko did not focus on cultivating the body, but this little bit of strength was still enough to give her a good gift.’

John watched with a big smile as Miko fell to the ground and fell down several times. After a second of lying on the ground, Miko quickly got up to her feet and ran back towards John, her hair disheveled and covered in dirt. John raises his vigilance over Miko's retaliation, but Miko suddenly stops right in front of him, an excited expression visible on her face.

“John, how did you get so strong that fast? My kick doesn't even make you faint! Why is your body so strong. That kick will at least hurt you a little bit. Why... ..”

Miko quickly asked John Question after question as she tried to understand the situation. Although she lost in that exchange, Miko remained quite happy. He considered John to be his best friend, and always regretted the fact that John could not cultivate. Now, not only was John able to cultivate, but Miko could tell that John was much stronger than a normal middle Fog Creation cultivator. Thus, his excitement and curiosity burst out, resulting in a barrage of questions towards John.

John rubbed the back of his head as he listened to Miko's endless questions. John is finally fed up with the scolding and pats Miko's head hard, which manages to keep her quiet.

“It's nice to meet you too Miko. See, it's not hard to greet someone normally than to greet them with your feet.”

“Haha, that's too boring. In addition, you started this tradition a long time ago. You only blame yourself.” Miko responded to John while laughing.

John once again rubbed the back of his head as he cursed himself.

‘He was not wrong. I was truly the one who first attacked him secretly many years ago. I just blame myself. ‘

After a few seconds of contemplation, a wide smile appeared on John's face as he stepped forward and clasped Miko's hand.

“It was just because I was holding back. Next time, you won't be so lucky.”

“I don't know. Next time we meet, I might have a cultivation level or even higher than you.” John smiles back as he teases Miko. He knew Miko was very competitive, so he took any chance to stab her.

“As it were. You may be amazing, but I'm even better. In fact, you should have called me Brother Miko based on our cultivation level.” A proud expression appeared on Miko's face as she looked at John.

John rolled his eyes at Miko's comment and reached out to pat Miko on the head. “You hope. You will always be Miko's sister.”

Miko puts John's hand off his head and pretends to be angry and stares at John with ‘marah’. The two stared at each other for some time before …

“Hahahaha”

Both John and Miko laughed at each other's behavior.

“Good. Just kidding, we are heading towards the martial arena now.”

Barden Fenix suddenly spoke up and told John and Miko about the clan's migration towards the tournament arena. John looks up and notices that most of the clan has already started walking, and only he, Miko, and his father are left behind.

“Come go.” John turned to Miko and said.

Miko nodded her head, at which point the three of them caught up with the members of the Fenix Clan and walked over to the tournament venue. When he arrived at the tournament field, John raised his eyes slightly in surprise.

There were five large circular arena platforms, each made of solid stone and each one over a hundred meters wide. Stands surround the entire tournament area, allowing spectators to see what is going on in one of the arenas at a time. John could already see thousands of spectators sitting in the stands of the arena, waiting for the tournament to begin.

“Why are so many people watching?” John asked his father.

“Well, there are spectators from the Varis Clan, as well as other forces participating in the pocket realm. Many people had come to look at the strength of other clans and sects to assess where their junior generation strength lay.”

John nodded his head at his father's reply when the group arrived on the tournament field. The Flowing River Sect and the Ronan Clan were already standing near the tournament field, and the two groups were quite mingled. Just like the Fenix Clan and the Varis Clan, the Flowing River Sect and the Ronan Clan were close allies.

John, Ryan, and Miko talked for a while about everything that had happened since they last parted ways. Miko asks John dozens of questions about his cultivation, his travels, and everything else he can think of, and John does his best to answer every question, he said, although there were some details that he kept to himself.

The four groups stood around waiting for a while before a commotion finally sounded on the road. In the distance, many powerful creatures were seen pulling the blood-red chariot, with the symbol of the blood-red sun setting behind the mountains painted on the sides of each carriage.

“As usual. Late.” Barden sneered as he looked at the approaching group with disdain. John narrowed his eyes as he stared at the approaching group.

“So they finally arrived.”
