John opened his eyes in shock at the sight before him. The tip of his sharp scythe had been blocked by his father easily, but to add more humiliation, his father had blocked it with a single finger. John looked at his father's finger and saw an extremely thin but extremely dense Qi layer surrounding his finger, turning into something as powerful as his own scythe, or even stronger.
John quickly recovered from his shock and jumped backwards, making a distance between him and his father. Barden slowly opened his eyes and looked at John for a moment before speaking.
“Is this all you've learned so far? You disappoint me if so.”
John gripped his scythe tightly before he placed it in front of him once more.
“This is just the beginning” grumbled John as he once again attacked his father. He used the first step of his movement technique to instantly close the distance to try to catch him off guard, where he sent his scythe slicing towards his father with a force greater than before.
The Myriad Annihilation Scythe!
John sent a wave of Qi to his weapon according to the technique and sent it towards his father. He decided to use a melee version of the Myriad Annihilation Scythe, as it was more powerful than a ranged attack. By storing a strong Qi inside the weapon instead of sending it outside, John was able to increase the attack power.
Barden opened his eyes and stared at the incoming attack, but made no attempt to move.
The explosion!
A loud sound rang out as the scythe and fingers once again collided. Although he did not want to believe that the difference was so great, John expected this to be the result, and he prepared to follow up on his attacks instantly.
John quickly uses the second step of his movement technique to get behind his father, where he sends a second attack of the Annihilation Scythe to his father's back. Barden slightly raised his eyebrows, but still made no attempt to move.
The explosion!
A loud voice exploded once more as John's scythe fell on his father's back. A dense Qi layer appeared on Barden's back and managed to block the attack easily. John pushed his scythe forward with all his might, but it would not move no matter how hard he tried.
John once again jumped back and broke away from his father. He was a little breathless from the continuous attacks, but still had not given up. Thinking that it was everything, Barden was just about to speak when John suddenly ran towards him once more.
John quickly unleashes the first attack of the Myriad Annihilation Scythe, which is unexpectedly blocked easily. Continuing the momentum of the first attack, John channeled his essence into its strongest state for the second attack of the Myriad Annihilation Scythe, and also sent out the strongest Qi waves from his body's dantian to unleash the strongest attack he could.
John's previous attack was just an essence attack, and he hid the strength of his body. John had been thinking of keeping his strength a secret from his father, but decided to reveal it. There were very few people John would trust with this secret, and his father was one of them.

The scythe and hand collided, and the scythe sword suddenly stopped in Barden's hand. John pushed forward with all his might, but was unable to make his father's hand move in the slightest. Barden stared at the scythe sword in his hand for a moment before he looked towards John with a serious expression on his face.
“Enough for now,” says Barden. “There are some things we should discuss, and I've seen enough.”
John quickly put away his scythe with a slightly sad face but did not argue back. He wants to keep fighting, but he listens.
“Sit!” father's orders. John nodded and sat down in front of his father. He noticed the serious expression on his father's face and was quite sure why his father had suddenly become grim. John sat quietly for a while before Barden finally spoke up.
“Your last attack clearly had the strength of a body cultivator behind it... Do you want to explain yourself?” Barden looked at John with anger on his face. Everyone in the world knows that developing a body and essence is a bad idea. The Fenix Clan was an essence cultivator clan, and John was definitely an essence cultivator as well. But his final attack combined the power of essence and body, which caused Barden to be both shocked and furious.
John sat quietly for a while thinking about what he should say.
‘What should I tell him? Should I reveal the circle? And if so, how much should I say? ‘
John wanted to keep the ball away from the world, because he was sure that if the ball was discovered, it would be a disaster for him and his clan. But her father was different. Even so, he was still doubtful about how much he revealed.
‘If I can't trust my father, then who in the world can I trust?’
John continued to argue internally for some time before he took a deep breath and looked towards his father. He decided to tell his father some truth, but not all of it. The less his father knew, the safer he would be, and his clan would also be the safer. Therefore, he did not want to reveal too much to his father if it happened to him.
“Dad, when I touched the ball you kept in the basement, it changed something in me. I don't know how, though,
John decides to keep what really happened. That way, if anyone knew about the ball, they would assume that his body had been changed by it and not that the ball was in his own body. Without treasure, the greed of anyone who knew of it would be much reduced. Also, both Barden and Rachel believe that the ball was lost after John touched it. No one knew it was inside him.
Shock appeared on Barden's face at John's reply. No matter how he thought about it, such a thing should be completely impossible, as no one had ever managed to find a way to cultivate body and essence with full effect. Barden was just about to question John about the truth of this claim when he thought of the ball, and the nature in which he found it. Although what John said seemed too good to be true, whenever he thought about what he saw and heard when he found the ball, he felt nothing was impossible.
Barden and John sat quietly for some time as Barden tried to calm his mind. A few minutes later, Barden began to laugh out loud.
“Hahahaha, if that is the case then everything is fine. You can cultivate body and essence. My son will be a towering genius in heaven!”
