CHAPTER 66: 66

Chapter 66: 66

John watched as the Crimson Valley Sect approached the tournament field. The ferocious beast that was pulling the carriage was the Qi Condensing Blood Tiger. Blood Tigers were blood red, nearly ten feet long and six feet high, and were extremely ferocious and powerful beasts. The Crimson Valley Sect found the two of them suitable for the image of their sect, as well as effective intimidation tactics on others.

The group finally arrived at the tournament venue and descended from their carriages. The group had over a hundred members, and consisted of small children to old men. Each of them had a haughty expression on their faces, as if they were the most important people in the world.

“Sial, seeing their arrogant faces pisses me off every time.” Barden could not help but curse when he saw the approach of the Crimson Valley Sect group. John, Ryan, and Miko nodded in agreement.

“They really have a smug and arrogant face. All I want to do is beat them until I can't even recognize their faces, especially Jason. Even for the Red Valley Sect, his overbearing attitude stood out.” Miko cursed furiously at the group. He watched Jason among the group, and saw his face was very upsetting. Miko loses to Jason in the Qi Condensation tournament, and Jason is arrogant and arrogant during the entire tournament.

“Do not worry. We will take revenge during this tournament. Besides, I gave some of their members a nice present the last time I met them. I'm sure they won't forget.” Miko and Ryan started laughing heartily at John's comments. Earlier when they spoke, John had told them about his involvement with the Crimson Valley Sect boys, he said,

Miko is fascinated the entire time John tells her story, and clenches his fists and celebrates when John tells her about the last gift he left behind.

“If I could be there to watch it,” Miko sighed and looked completely depressed, as if missing it was the worst thing in the world. John and Ryan looked at Miko and each other, before they once again burst into laughter at Miko's behavior.

After a while, the Red Valley Sect group arrived where all the other forces were gathered. The front of the group was led by an old man, who appeared to be in his sixties, but his actual age was much older. The man had a Core Formation cultivation level, and in the Core Formation Realm, a cultivator could live up to five hundred years.

The man had long, pure white hair flowing down his shoulders, and a clean shaved face but a slight scar. His face was quite sunken, which made him look quite creepy. He was Warren Gildar, and he was the clan leader of the Crimson Valley Sect. His eyes scanned the group before him as he approached them, and stopped at Cade Fenix as a frown appeared on his face.

Cade Fenix noticed his gaze as a satisfied smile appeared on his face. “Warren Gildar, it's been a long time since we last met. Looks like your face has healed quite well from our battle.”

The crowd let out a murmur of astonishment at Cade Fenix's comments. Most of the crowd was too young to know the battle that had taken place between the two leaders the last time they met.

An angry frown appeared on Warren's face as he snorted at Cade's comments. “You want to fight now? I guarantee you won't leave this place alive if we do!”

An even more astonished gasp reverberated throughout the crowd. John looked towards his father and asked, “Dad, what happened between our clan leader and their sect leader?”

Barden looked at his son and replied, “I guess this happened long before you were born. It happened after one of the pocket world events a few decades ago. One of the juniors of the Red Valley Sect killed one of our Fenix Clan juniors in the pocket world over treasure, and our clan retaliated by killing one of them. It became extremely bloody inside and more than eight juniors in total died. When my father heard about what happened after everyone left the world, he immediately asked the head of the Crimson Valley Sect junior who started killing right from the start. Warren Gildar refused and even tried to bring the situation back to our clan, so Cade attacked Warren. Although my father was unable to kill Warren, he managed to leave some bad scar behind his body. “

“Oh, so that's why our clans hate each other,” John nodded his head understanding his father's story. He was always curious as to why the two were considered enemies, and this story revealed the truth quite clearly.

Laughter echoed throughout the crowd. “Last time we fought, you escaped with your tail tucked between your legs, and now you dare to say those words to me? Looks like I didn't educate you well enough last time.”

Cade was furious at Warren's words. Even now, the pain of losing that junior weighed heavily on Cade's heart, and he wanted nothing more than to kill Warren where he stood. But doing so would definitely start an all-out war between the two powers, and that was something the Fenix Clan did not want. Although they were not afraid of the Crimson Valley Sect, they did not want their members to die in an avoidable war.

Warren snorted and was just about to respond when another loud voice echoed throughout the crowd.

“Alright, Alright, that's enough from you two. We are here to carry out the Mist Creation Realm Tournament for the pocket world. Let's continue and put aside our suffering for now.” Waylon Varis said loudly.

He had been waiting for the Crimson Valley Sect to arrive before speaking to the crowd, but now that everyone had arrived, his task as the tournament host was to let it run as it should.

Cade Fenix buries his anger and agrees with his old friend Waylon. “True. We are here for our juniors. We can finish this later.”

Warren Gildar snorted once more but said nothing. The five powers gathered around the stage where Waylon stood, and listened to what he said. Behind Waylon, a large and smooth stone tablet was visible. Fantastic carvings and mystical designs are all over the tablet, making it look quite mysterious.

“I want to thank you all for coming today. We are all here for the Mist Creation Realm tournament to decide on entering into the pocket realm. The tournament rules are as follows. First, when one gave up, the fight immediately stopped. Second, if one is unconscious, the fight immediately stops. Three, do not intentionally seriously injure others, or you will be disqualified. Serious injuries were classified as crippling or rendering a cultivator unable to continue on their cultivation journey. Four, if you handicap is thrown off the fighting platform, you lose. Five, twenty top participants would qualify for the pocket realm, as ten junior condensing Qi would enter, plus twenty more junior Mist Creation. “

Waylon paused for a moment to let the crowd gather their thoughts before he continued. “This tournament will be one elimination, and it will continue until we get a winner. There are three prizes to be awarded to the top three participants, with the winner getting the Gold Marrow Condensation Pill.”

An excited discussion immediately reverberated throughout the crowd as all the juniors started talking about the Gold Marrow Condensation Pill. Not everyone knew the reward, so knowing that the first place to obtain the legendary pill was very exciting for all involved.

“Pil Condensation Gold Marrow? I have to win and get it.” said one of the juniors of the Ronan Clan.

“You hope. You will be lucky to pass into pocket realm, let alone win.”

Similar discussions continued for some time before Waylon silenced the crowd and continued to speak.

“Now, we have to see how many juniors have decided to participate. All participants please step forward and go on stage.”
