Because of his past experiences with being off guard at the last moment, John has learned to be always vigilant, even when it seems that everything is safe, a lesson Miko has yet to learn with her sheltered upbringing.
“What just happened. How do we not feel this snake?” miko asked confusedly.

“Eat one now, and remember to save the other one for pills. Do not eat it, or it will be in vain,” John reminded as he kept one fruit and bit another.
“This is amazing!” miko yelled excitedly as she bit again.
Both John and Miko spent the next few minutes eating their fruit. By the time he finished, John felt his body had boundless energy, and his cultivation had grown quite rapidly.
