Chapter 123: 123
After some hesitation, two juniors, one from the Flowing River Sect and one from the Ronan Clan stepped forward.
“The leader of the Waylon Clan, Garlen, and I were in an experiment where we were attacked by a powerful ferocious beast. I..I can escape, but unfortunately Garlen does not,” replied one boy from the Ronan Clan.
He and his friend had tried their luck in an experiment, but only he could not get out alive. Such is the danger of the pocket world. It held an incredible treasure, but it was also a great danger.
The Flowing River Sect girl also spoke up, telling a similar story. All the elders carefully watched over them, and found no sign of the lie being told.
“Honey once,” one of the Elders spoke up.
“Indeed it's always like this, but that doesn't make it any easier to bear,” replied another.
“You can retreat,” says Waylon,
Warren Gildar also has a dark face, as his two juniors, including Dylan, are missing. He would step forward and ask what happened, as Jason spoke up.
“Cast Sect Leader Warren, I will explain what happened to our two members next time.”
Warren's eyes narrowed, and he nodded his head before taking a step back.
“Now...John Fenix is missing, what really happened? Who knows?” Waylon asked in a raised voice, hinting that cheating was imminent. Everyone instinctively looked to the group of the Crimson Valley Sect.
“For what did you see us? We have nothing to do with it,” replied Warren Gildar, but a slightly arrogant smile hung on his face for everyone to see. Everyone knew of his enmity with John and the Fenix Clan, and even if they really did not cause his death, they would still enjoy it.
“b*jing*n, do you really think anyone would believe such nonsense lies? Tell me what happened, or don't blame me for destroying your sect, the” Barden Fenix exploded furiously, causing everyone to jump. His powerful aura emanated from him, making everyone believe his words that he was about to start a fight at that very instant.
“Be careful of that heinous accusation,” replied Warren in a cold voice. His narrowed eyes stared straight at Barden without blinking.
“Accusations? Everyone knows what happened in the tournament, and how strong John is. If it wasn't for your cruel ways, how else would John not be here?” Miko shouted furiously.
He had lost track of John in the swamp, and no matter how hard he searched, he could not find him. Eventually he goes his own way, assuming that John will be able to handle himself.
As the pocket world began to close, Miko felt an unusually strong aura sweep over her and attack her soul. Even though he tried to fight it, he couldn't do it. Just when he had thought that a powerful soul aura would kill him, the soul aura took refuge in his own soul space and immediately fell asleep.
Although she did not know what, or who it was, Miko was sure if she wanted to kill him, she could definitely do it. Instead, he falls asleep, and Miko knows that her soul is on the verge of collapse. He did not know when it would awaken, but for now he had no answer as to what was happening.
He looks forward to reuniting with John after getting out of the world and talking about this amazing event, but is disappointed to see that John himself never left.
“If you don't want to admit it, then I have to beat you up,” Barden said with growing anger. His sword suddenly appeared in his hand, and a burning fire began to flow over him.
“Uncle Barden, I know what happened to John.”
Barden quickly turned around, and saw Parker standing there with his head slightly lowered in embarrassment.
“What happened? Why didn't you speak earlier?” Barden asked as he ran towards Parker.
“A..I want to talk, but I'm ashamed of myself.”.
“Thy? Why?” Barden asks, but Parker's behavior gives him a bad feeling about John's fate.
“I... Towards the end of nature's opening, John and I met each other and decided to adventure together. We arrived at a huge abyss that was so deep that we could not see the bottom, and just as we were about to turn.around, the Qi Condensation beast attacked us …. I was finally able to kill him, but in battle, John was thrown to the brink by the beast …
While telling his story, Parker took out the corpse of the lizard-type Qi Condensation beast he had killed in the world. A hint of dried blood was left on one of his claws, and a close examination made everyone realize that it had the same aura as John's aura.
What they don't know is that this beast was killed by Parker in an unrelated matter, and some of the blood that John leaked during their battle was collected from the ground and smeared on the claws of the beast, making it seem like it had attacked. Even though it was just a little blood, it was enough to convince everyone.
Barden's face turned pale as he examined the beast and Parker, but he found no clues to the lies on either. The entire Fenix Clan turned pale as well, having lost their most promising junior, and a young lord of the clan.
Only the Crimson Valley Sect had a slight smile on their faces. Jason looked at Parker in an agreeable manner, clearly pleased with his performance.
“So right….He crashed. I'm sorry,” Waylon walked over and comforted Barden.
Cade Fenix is furious at the loss of a promising youngster, as well as his granddaughter, but is unable to do anything about it. He suddenly called out to his clan.
“Medium go.”
Although the celebration party was usually held by all the parties after, everyone understood the reason for the Fenix Clan to leave in a hurry. The Fenix clan bid farewell to the Varis Clan, and quickly departed for their home.
While watching them leave, Jason turned around and whispered something in Warren Gildar's ear. His eyes lit up as he listened, and his smiling gaze turned to Parker who was gone.
“Interesting..this will greatly help our plan.”
