Chapter 91: 91
The pocket realm was a magical and mysterious realm that existed in its own dimension. None of the forces involved knew of its origin, and not even one had the faintest hint of the power needed to create such a realm.
However, the only thing they knew was that it was opened every twenty years, and within it were treasures and opportunities that most people could only dream of. The pocket realm was also one of the reasons why each of the five powers was able to stand at the peak of strength in this part of the Yuan Continent. In fact, the chances were great enough to lure even those in the Sacred Land of the Yuan Continent, which was why the five powers kept it a secret.
The only reason the Five Powers were unable to soar to higher heights was due to the thin Qi levels present in this part of the continent.
After a few days of traveling, the Fenix Clan group was close to the pocket world region. The pocket world was at the peak of one of the mountains of the Skycleave mountain range, which was located in the middle between all the powers. John looked out the window of his carriage as it continued up the winding road to the top of the mountain.
The vast Skycleave Mountains were visible underneath, and John could see many cities, villages, sects, and kingdoms far beyond the mountains. A thought popped into John's head and he turned to his father to ask a question.
“Daddy, what's the inside of a natural pocket like? Do you have any tips for when I'm inside?”
“Good question, but it was in vain. The inside of the pocket world changes every time it opens, so any map or tip I give you will be for naught. The only thing I can say is that with every opportunity comes danger, and so you should always be careful. ”
An expression of understanding appeared on John's face as he listened to his father. He had always been at a loss as to why the clan had not given them such assistance as a map, but his father's response explained everything.
“What kind of power is capable of producing such nature? Which not only exists in independent space, but changes every time it opens?” John was completely unable to comprehend such strength.
Barden shook his head and responded in a respectful voice. “I don't know either, but whoever made this nature must exist at a level we can only dream of.”
John kept talking to his father about the pocket world, and before long, the Fenix Clan arrived at the top of the mountain. The carriage stopped, and as John jumped out, his breath choked in his throat.
“This!”
The top of the mountain seemed to be cut off at the top, exposing a smooth flat ground hundreds of meters wide. In the middle was a huge building, so majestic that it dwarfed anything in the Fenix Clan.
“Even now, I am amazed every time I see this building.” Barden couldn't help but say.
Five large statues that looked like the real thing stood outside around the building, as if guarding the building. John never imagined such a building existed at the top of a mountain, and was caught off guard.
“Dad, what exactly is this building? And whose statue is this?” John could not help but ask.
“The statues are of the five founders of each strength.” Barden pointed to a certain statue, which depicted a luxurious red and black-robed man, holding a sword by his side and peering into the distance, making him look quite heroic.
“That statue is our founder, Holus Fenix.”
Barden paused for a moment before continuing. “As for this building, you will see why it is there when we go inside. We five powers call it the ancestral hall, and the official purpose we tell others is it is a sacred place to honor our five ancestors.”
John stared at the building and saw many guards patrolling outside, clearly protecting the hall from unwanted intruders.
John followed the other Fenix Clan group as they walked towards the large building, and after passing through the guards, they immediately walked through the large front entrance that was tens of meters tall and wide.
As soon as he entered, John looked around curiously and was surprised to find the entire structure completely hollow. The ceiling of the building stands hundreds of meters above them, and the opposite side of the building is visible.
His gaze suddenly came to a halt as he looked towards the center of the large room. Barden smiled as he looked at John's reaction, which was the same as his reaction when he first saw him as well.
A large arch gate, over a hundred meters tall, stood right in the middle of the room. The arch shone with a sparkling color, and John knew that it was made from a very precious material. But the thing that surprised him the most was what was in the middle of that archway.
The center of the archway shows a dazzling array of ever-changing colors, and John can vaguely see images of the land behind its entrance. The entrance emitted an extremely powerful and profound aura, and made all who sensed it feel the urge to prostrate before it.
After a few seconds of standing there in silence, John finally managed to maintain his composure and turned to his father.
“Now I understand why we built this building, the gate is too attractive.”
