“What do you do?” amarilis asked in surprise.

I wiped the boy's hair behind his ear, then tidied up the collar of the back shirt. He must have been in a hurry, not having time to check his appearance on the toilet. I combed the bangs on his forehead with my fingers. Looks like he cut it himself, not to the salon. Hm.

She is a woman with high self-esteem. Without asking, I knew he would refuse my help to heal the pimples on his face and tidying up his teeth. I'll help her after we get married. At that time, he would not be able to snatch another male anymore. For now, this condition of his face could be a shield to drive all those teasers away from him.

“Usually you don't care about my appearance. Why should everything be fixed? Shy dinner with my mess?” he said what sounded angry.

“Gue did this for the sake of lo, dear.” I looked towards the restaurant. “Come, we are out.”

My guess was right to tidy up his appearance. People lined the windows of the restaurant with their cameras. Amaryllis will not be ashamed to see his face while in the media later. But he seemed less interested in following the news, as he looked relaxed, not anxious at all. He still didn't realize there was a line of people covering us.

I wouldn't have known it either if it wasn't for the employees gazing at me while whispering with their friends. A scene I never get to experience every time I come home from work. I got the answer when I opened the phone.

Mama, Chika, and Matt sent me messages in different tones. One was crying, the other was furious, while my sister was just laughing like a fool. But it wasn't all my fault. Those nosy people did it.

As a result, several reporters followed me from the moment I left the parking lot of our family company building. They didn't get into the work site when I picked up Amarylis, but only saw me again when I parked the car at this restaurant.

“What's taking me to dinner?” She squinted, suspicious of any other motivation behind our date. “You haven't answered my question.”

“Because it's a stupid question,” I replied indifferently. I was her future husband, why did she even ask why I was taking her to dinner? “How about the thesis lo?”

“That's a stupid question,” reply.

I laughed hearing that. “Good, I errat. How's your research? Have you got all the materials you will need?”

He sighed softly. “Iya. Thanks to Norman who has—”

“Mas Norman?” cut me. Since when did he call that guy that?

“Iya. I called him Mas Norman from the first time we—” he said, explaining. I hate to see his eyes twinkle in the name of that man.

“Call him sir, don't mas. He's your boss, not a girlfriend,” my protest.

“That, ‘kan, salute also to men. Why do you call a girlfriend? After all, Mas Norman himself who—” He still dares to refute me.

“Gue says call him sir, then you should call him sir,”.

“Theo, Mas Norman is my boss. You can't be jealous whenever I'm close to a man. It's not how much. What if I'm already working and have a male-dominated team. Are you going to forbid me from approaching them and having to call everyone with sir?” his opponent.

“Good. I'll talk about this with Norman,”.

His mouth was wide open. Does he think I have no other way to get him to obey me? Two years together, he still can't guess the way I think. Good though. That could be an advantage to me, because he will always be off guard.

“Ka-you won't dare to do that,” stutters in disbelief.

“Why nervous, darling? Lo says he's just a lo.” boss I propped up my chin and shook my head. “Or do you guys have another relationship?”

“You will regret accusing me for no reason,” he said with a ketus.

“Gue is more sorry to act when everything is too late,” reply me.

Seeing a red light, a sign of danger, I twisted my brain. It's not something I like to do, I never even do to anyone. Anybody. But Amarilis is my future wife and I don't want to lose her. Then I set aside my pride.

“Honey,” I soften my voice, “gue believe in the same lo, but not with other men.” I reached out with my eyes wide. He frowned, then sighed loudly before giving his hand to me. “Do not get angry again. I've said many times, I'm jealous.”

“We discuss other things only.” He brought himself back to the table. “You shouldn't use our photos together on your social media.”

“Gue wants to show off my beautiful future wife to everyone,” I said proudly.

“I'm not pretty. Theo, people are cursing at you in that photo.” He looks worried.

I reached out and stroked her cheek. “Lo beautiful. I don't care what you or others judge you like, for me, you are beautiful. Point.” She didn't like me holding her cheek for too long, so I pulled my hand back. “Regarding photos, I'm used to being scolded. Just relax.”

“You did that just to reply to Chika, ‘right? You should have let him do as he pleases. I trust you, so I won't be affected by all his posts.”

“Oh, yes? You're not jealous to see him hug and hold my hand?” my challenge.

“Purpose. I'm serious, dear you. The thing is, you reply so, he must feel you have little attention to him.”

I smiled happily at his confession. “Gue doesn't reply to him. I told you, I want to show off my future wife. There's no other reason. It's all I think about and love.”

The food was delivered, so we stopped talking and enjoyed it. I watched the way he ate that became his habit from childhood, just like me. Wonder. How could anyone miss paying attention to those very obvious details? He was the son of a respected person, not a poor person who did not care about the etiquette of eating.

She wasn't angry when I ordered one more serving of food for her, instead she was greedy without protest. Our work and our quarrels must have made him hungry. From my observations every time we met and the reports from his bodyguards, he was fine. The transfer of his soul to Amaryllis's body had no negative effect. I hope so. I can't imagine my life without him.

Is it possible that Norman gave him so many tasks as to starve like this? I seem to need to talk to him. Not just about her internship there, but also their relationship. His attitude that is too familiar with Amarilis will be misunderstood by other employees.

As soon as I received the change from the waiter, I took her home. When she was by my side, I grabbed her shoulder and kissed her temple. He smiled happily. Hm. His body is getting thinner. If this continues, my rivals will increase.

The waiter opened the door of the restaurant, we were greeted with a reporter camera flash. I only glanced at the smile of seeing Amarylis surprised and swept a look around her in confusion. He really didn't read the news about us.

“Theo, are you really going to marry an ordinary woman?”

“How about Jessica, your fiancee? Have you cut ties?”

“When is your plan to get married?”

“Have your parents given your blessing?”

They kept showering us with questions until we were in the car. The two Amaryllis guards intervened to help us escape them. I nodded to the two men before driving away from the restaurant.

“Wow. What just happened?” Amaryllis looked towards the back of the car. “Why are reporters following us? They already know we're dating, okay, just now approaching us?”

“Lo is busy cheating, so don't read the news,”.

He looked at me sharply. “How many times do I have to say, Mas Norman is my boss.”

“Pak,” error. For a long time, I was annoyed to hear him call it a mas.

“Do you do anything strange again that causes them to come to us?” He pulled out his phone, then I prepared to wait for his response.
