What the hell's going on? Didn't Big Brother reject her in that dressing room? I didn't hear wrong. Big brother obviously said no and told Rahma to stay away from him. Then why did they come together to this place while holding hands? Brother and he's dating?
“You're surprised. I think you know everything about your brother.” Nisa who was still standing by my side laughed amusedly. “I admit I was shocked too. Rahma finally succeeded after years of trying.”
No. gabe. I can't just believe what I see. Rahma has not succeeded. I have to trust my brother. He must have had a reason to do this. I can't believe he's going to give in to the evil woman's threat.
I know this will hurt me deeply. So, Brother will not date people who have participated in harming me. He knew and supported all my plans for the three of them a long time ago. There was no way he would suddenly side with one of them.
“They're not married, Nisa. Something could happen. Don't forget the case of Chika and Venny.” I gave him a hint. “The same applies to you. You and Edrick are still engaged. If you're not careful, he may not marry you,” I whispered.
He smiled casually. “Edrick will marry me. Our relationship is not like Chika and Venny who were betrothed to Theo. Edrick himself chose me and we loved each other.”
“Oh, yes?” I smiled meaningfully. His confidence deserves a thumbs up. “Does he still love you if he knows your past?”
“She knows everything.” He raised his chin arrogantly. “You won't be able to ruin our relationship the same way you did Chika.”
I didn't post that viral video of Chika, but I wasn't interested in doing it. “You're sure he knows everything? You haven't hidden anything from her lately?”
He was stunned for a moment, then laughed nervously. “I don't have any secrets I hide from my fiancee. Anyway, what do you want to know about our business?” He pushed my body so he could walk past me.
That little act is like deja vu. Is this how he pushed Amarilis off the deck of the ship? Theo who saw the scene earlier frowned. He stared intently at Nisa who was walking closer to Edrick. Without saying anything, he stepped towards me.
I shook my head slowly, hinting that he wouldn't discuss it now. We filled the dishes and approached the table which still had empty seats. We came here for a free dinner, so we can't miss it.
Chika and Nisa together with their partner head to a different table. I saw Brother Jericho and Rahma still greeting familiar people near the entrance. Gino not going with him was a rare thing. Maybe the woman doesn't like the assistant sister bothering them.
As the couple next to Theo left, we exchanged glances. It's also time for us to leave. The stomach was full and we were entertained by the piano playing that accompanied us to eat. A very quiet birthday event, without a deafening celebration.
“Well, we can continue the chat earlier.” Edrick filled the empty seat on Theo's side while putting a plate of cake in front of him.
A servant came from my side and put a plate of pieces of fruit in front of me and Theo. “Good to enjoy, Sir, Mom,” said the woman politely.
“I noticed your food is up, so I asked them to add it.” Edrick explained. Nisa who was sitting next to him scowled.
It turned out that he and Theo were discussing something to do with opening a branch overseas. His ambitions are high too. Moreover, property business in America is among the most popular. He's great if he's willing to try to pit his luck there.
I hid my satisfied smile by drinking water watching him give a business card and write his personal mobile number to Theo. Not a business number, but a personal number. My husband is my best partner in my mission.
After Edrick was satisfied talking and the fruit on our plate was gone, Theo said goodbye. I saw Nisa sigh in relief as we stood up. Things that did not escape my attention. Looks like my sentence was quite riveted. Goody. I want him not to sleep peacefully tonight.
Feeling someone watching, I looked for the source. It was Venny who followed us with her gaze. When our eyes met, I smiled. He closed his lips, then threw away his face. What a strange woman. Why else hope for Theo? Wrong himself, he had been impatient with dumping Theo who was still recovering.
“I can't believe Nisa did that to Edrick. He was so handsome,” I said, as soon as we were in the room. Realizing Theo was silent, I turned around. He looked at me sharply. Oops. I mispronounced.
I approached and helped unbutton his batik shirt. “Of course. You're much more handsome than him. I was uncomfortable because the single mothers and women there looked at me cynically. They must be envious I'm the one chosen by the most handsome man in that hall.”
“Lo sure want to do this?” He held my hand, stopping me from unbuttoning next. “Edrick will be destroyed if he finds out what Nisa.” did
“What's with lo first? Why are you friends with such weird people?” He took my hand off, then unbuttoned his own shirt. “Do not worry about Richo. I'm sure he has his own plans to be close to Rahma.”
“That's all I thought about. Shouldn't Brother play fire so.”
“Rather than thinking of him, we better make our own fire.” Theo carried my body and walked to the bathroom.
I'm laughing a little. “Create that fire in the kitchen, not in the bathroom.”
Theo brings good news every day. Edrick often invites him to chat on his cell phone, and at the top, they meet again over lunch. Their conversations are just about boring work, but that's a good sign.
Instead, I should see that Big Brother and the evil woman behaving so affectionately when I come to the job site. If it wasn't for him being my boss, I wouldn't have come and reported to him about his latest schedule.
Gino looked at me understandingly. The poor guy. Is he often an outlet for Rahma's anger? He must have been thrown out of the room every time the woman came. Basic disruptor. He always comes at work, then monopolizes his free time as well.
“See, ‘kan?” The shameless woman sat by my side while the crew was in a meeting. “I don't need your help to get Brother Jericho.”
It is true, his hobby only bothers people who are working. Didn't he see I was busy replying to messages and receiving incoming calls? But I don't want to waste the opportunity to teach him a little lesson.
“You're not married to him yet. Do not be arrogant first,” reply me casually, do not want to be provoked by emotions. “Those who are engaged can only break up, especially those whose relationship is unclear.”
“Me and Brother Jericho are dating. He accepted my love. If you think I'll let her go after this, dream on.” He grunted softly.
“Kakak didn't say love also means your relationship is not safe, Rahma,” teased me. I'm inwardly relieved Brother is only dating her and there is no declaration of love.
“It's just a matter of time, Kat.” He deliberately whispered my name so that no one would hear. “Same as your status which is only a matter of time until everyone knows about you. I want to know what will happen to you when many know your soul and Amaryllis are switched.”
That topic again, that again. Among the three of them, only he was so obsessed with the reality of Katelya's soul that was in Amarylis' body. Chika and Nisa don't care anymore about that. Is it possible that he has an acquaintance who will help him to hold me back from being tested?
“I also want to know what will happen, if your parents know you ever abort.” I looked at him. “Do you know the expiry of prosecution for abortion is twelve years? Even if you were a teenager then, you could still go to jail.”
“The premeditated murder you committed against Katelia can also throw you in jail, Amarylis,” he said with a pongah. “The three of us are witnesses of that event.”
I'm laughing a little. “You know swearing falsely is a criminal offense, ‘kan? Try it if you want to do your cheap tricks. I want to know, you or I ended up in jail.”
He did not reply anymore, so I answered the incoming call that had made the phone in my hand vibrate. He left by jerking his feet on the floor, far from the actions of adult women who should not be childish.
“He will party tomorrow night,” reported Bastian briefly, then ended the phone relationship.
Unfortunately, Theo says Edrick went out of town. Why am I even disappointed? Nisa will not invite friends to her relatives' house or attend a party if her fiance is by her side. I had to postpone my plan.
“What's the good about drinking? Does he not know the bad impact that liquid has on his body?” I closed the bathroom door, then walked over to the bed. “Wake up tomorrow morning headache, stomach nausea, I just don't like to undergo it every day.”
“Shortly. You think they're just baboons in that house?” ask Theo not to believe. I'm nodding. “Honey, they do more than that, so you can't get there without me.”
