74|Busy Together

“Lo already knows my feelings. In my head there is always lo. In order to concentrate on this final task, I avoid everything that has to do with you. Sorry if you misunderstood. I don't mean to avoid you. Really.”

Turns out that's the reason. I only thought about myself until I forgot he ever admitted it. Though I already knew he was busy working on the thesis, not on vacation or playing around. But I'm glad I've experienced it. Because I'm more and more sure I love him.

“How about we go on vacation at the beginning of the year?” his proposal.

“Two only?” manyu, confirm. He nodded quickly. “No. Too risky.”

“Gue will not cross the line. We can book two rooms,” the promise.

“No, Theo. We better go all day than stay. Remember, it's my turn that will be very busy next semester.” I'll make a proposal and it'll take up my time.

“True also.” He rubbed his chin.

“You will start working in your papa company. We'll both be very busy, Theo.”

“Gue only works from Monday to Friday. We can date like everyone else on the weekend. So, you can't languish in a room on those two days,” demands it.

“Can't be so, dong. You can focus on your final task, why can't I?”

“Ooo-be. Lo revenge, here, the story?” goda. I'm laughing a little. “Good. The sooner you finish, the more freely our situation will be.”

He came in turns to take care of his script trial. I'm so proud of him. He could finish college quickly. I know he's pursuing his next college abroad. I don't know where and what majors, because he said it was a secret.

After passing the final semester exam. I can attend the hearing too. Theo looks very calm and fluent in presenting his research. The lecturers asked him and he answered well. Will I be like him?

His friends congratulated him as soon as the trial ended. The lecturer took them to take a picture together. When Chika approached her, Theo did not bully her but came to me. He doesn't care about the people who set their sights on us.

“Thank you,” he said before hugging me so tightly.

“Thank you for what?” many confused.

“Because it has understood me and my busyness,” he replied.

I rubbed his back. “Theo, we're still in the courtroom.” I realized everyone's gaze was on us.

“Ah, yes.” He let go of her embrace, then took my hand. “What do you want to eat?”

“Bakso!” answer me quickly.

Just like Kak Jericho's graduation, I can only see Theo from afar. We have agreed not to spoil the mood of his mother in the happy event. They've paid for her college, so I don't deserve to be there and hurt her parents' feelings.

Although Chika was there, I'm sure Theo's heart was only for me. So, I didn't feel sad or wasted seeing them taking pictures together at the insistence of the family. They will hold a dinner at a restaurant owned by the Husada Family. I wasn't invited.

But on Sunday, Theo invited me to spend time alone. We celebrated his graduation in our own way. First, we went to the park and then to the museum. Traditions that we started to like. He was happy to be in a closed room, while I was out in the open.

Unfortunately, just for one day. Because on Monday, I started going to college. Matt teases me who's lonely since Theo's not on campus anymore. He offered to accompany me to lunch, but I refused. It's time for me to focus on my proposal.

“Good morning,” greet the man who is already not a young man.

“Theo!” I immediately ran to embrace him. We laughed together, missed. “What are you doing here?”

“Can I not come here to see my future wife?” He asked back.

“Not so. Didn't you go to the office?” I let go of my embrace. “Wah! You're so cool in this official dress. Where's your suit?”

“In car. I know someone will hug me while crying, so just in case .. aw!” He rubbed his stomach which I punched.

“I'm not crying. You're out of town every weekend, who wouldn't be mad?” my lips.

“Hei. I work, not holidays,” he said, in self-defense. “Lo want breakfast with me or I stay? I haven't eaten from home.”

“Cute!” cheers happy.

Four weekends passed because he was out of town. It feels like all coincidences. I don't want to accuse Om Azarya of deliberately monopolizing him to keep us away. But what more reason would he do all that now if it wasn't intentional?

Theo never came along every time Om went out of town before. Though he did not go to college on the weekend, so could have accompanied his father. Ever since she graduated, they went out of town every Friday night and came home on Sunday night.

Me and Theo totally couldn't meet for a month ago. Thankfully, we can still text each other or call. If I was focusing on my proposal, he wouldn't mind me just shutting up when we make a video call.

So, I'm so happy he took the time to come see me before he went to the office. I happened to be going to the library to look for other supporting books. We both agreed to eat savory rice, and she ordered another serving for my lunch.

Waiting for our order to be delivered, he took me for a picture together. That rare thing I don't refuse. At first, I felt sad that he was shooting us in a position that was too close. But after a few shots, I got used to, even liked the results of the photo.

“Sorry, I will be very busy at work. I'll tell you about our plans this weekend,” he said feeling guilty.

“I understand. Go awayl. Careful.” I held the doorknob, but he held my other hand. I looked up and he kissed my lips.

“Gue dear lo, Katelia.” He caressed my cheek gently. “Do not be close to other men.”

I nodded slowly, then looked at him seriously. “You too. Don't get close to other girls,” I said don't want to lose.

“What do you wear it?” He glanced at my neck. Understanding the point, I took out my necklace that was behind the shirt collar. “Good.” He rubbed the ring that became his pendant.

I was not surprised when on that weekend, we couldn't be together anymore. He must accompany Om Azarya to review a factory outside the city. Even though we couldn't see each other, she spoke to me on a video call, enough to treat the longing.

I don't know what happened, Matt picked me up on Sunday and took me for a walk. He didn't want to say what we were celebrating, but I liked the activity. We ate lunch, watched a movie, went around looking for gifts for the girl he was after, then had dinner, and watched again. Brother and sister are the same. They do not like outdoor activities.

“What do you do?” my many.

He was busy with his cell phone. Sometimes he frowns, then smiles or laughs to himself on other occasions. I checked my phone repeatedly, but there was no new message from Theo. So, I put it back in the bag. We are waiting for the movie we will see.

“Gue uploaded our photo on my Mukabuku account. Many have commented, including people I don't like.” He gave me his phone.

I saw our picture he was referring to. I remember him taking me posing as we ate, before the movie started, and when he picked a gift. The photo is quite a lot and he gave a caption, “Kakak and the best teacher.” He added heart emojis and smiling faces.

Many responded to his post. What he meant by the person he didn't like turned out to be Chika. The woman made a teasing comment that was met with emotion by Matt. I smiled reading every word of his defense against me.

“People like him don't need to be served.” I returned the phone.

Chika seduces him by saying that we are both very compatible. Things he didn't need to put into his heart. Just think of it that he meant by matching is as a brother and sister, not a pair of lovers. Matt is easily angry when it comes to me, I don't know why.

“Scroll the screen and see the photos in the post,” anjurnya.

I looked up and saw a shocking photo. Chika dressed in beach with low chest was hugging Theo who turned her face away. Ja. The face of the man she was hugging was nowhere to be seen, but I knew it was my boyfriend. My boyfriend!

“Theo is in Bali with Papa. I don't know how the girl was there too. It's enough.” He took his phone back when I intended to see another post. “No need to see other photos. Just trust Theo.”

“What do you mean?” I couldn't take the phone back from his hand, so I had to give up. His attitude made me suspect something was wrong. “Is there a photo worse than the first one?”
