I was forced to turn my head and immediately stand by to see him standing not far from us. I pushed Amaryllis to stand behind me. Matt stood up to protect his brother-in-law. Dad did the same thing to Mom. Shit, our bodyguards aren't here.
“I only teach Theo a lesson, you even dare to take all my hard work so far.” Clara doled her throne to Papa. “How much did Meghan offer you so you advised my father to throw me out?”
My hunch turned out to be right. Our situation was very fragile without the presence of our bodyguards. My distance with him was too far that I could not get close to snatching the stone from his hand. Why do people in this country always solve problems with calamity?
“Clara, darling?” talk to her mother gently.
But the woman did not care. “It is not enough to show off your son's chosen son-in-law in front of me, you incised my pride by calling me unworthy to replace my father. Good. I've lost everything, then I don't want to fall alone.”
He glanced at me. “Theo is useless because of amnesia, I want to know how long he can lead that company that you are proud of. Please look from the grave, and I am happy to witness it from behind bars.” He pulled the catapult and prepared to attack.
Somehow he did, but Amaryllis was near Clara and held both hands holding her. He pointed it at the ceiling so that no one was hit by the target.
Screams of fear filled the room accompanying the torment for the sake of the torment that Clara released upon us. The three women closed their eyes and ears, but we men froze to see the two young women struggling.
“Let me go! No one can take my rights away from me!” Clara rebelled.
“Do something!” amaryllis exclaimed to Willis who was standing next to his daughter.
The man held the tablet his daughter was holding, then took it from her. He locked it back, then slapped the woman's cheek. It sounded louder than the sound released by his daughter earlier, because it was wearing a damper. The women took surprised breaths.
“I've warned you about your attitude towards Theo. I think you stopped hoping by working so well by my side. Turns out you secretly planned something bad happen to the son of our business partner.” Willis clenched her hands, restraining her emotions.
“I have thought of a way to save your position in our family, but you again acted without thinking. You proved to Azariah before his own eyes that all his suspicions about you were true. I can't believe you're that stupid.”
Clara rolled her eyes. He looked at his father with a look of disbelief. Then the look turned regretful. He lowered his head deeply and began to sob. Hopefully he finally understands that he has made a mistake and does not vent it again to others.
I immediately approached Amaryllis and examined her body. “I'm fine,” he said.
“So's crazy!” matt's scolding, it precedes me. “What if Brother miscalculated and got hit?? Big brother could let Theo become a widower this fast!?”
After everyone's shock was gone, both mothers burst into tears and fathers tried to calm them down. The brothers hugged each other, while I pulled Amarilis away from them. A little careless, it could have been that evil woman who hurt my wife.
The rest of Sunday we stayed in the apartment. Mom and Dad returned to their inn. He agreed not to prolong the event and gave Clara one last chance. Since there were no fatalities, we agreed to the decision with a heavy heart.
Since they seemed to dislike my cooking, I relented. I asked my bodyguard to buy my wife and sister's favorite food at Antonio's restaurant. Huh. Remember him, I remembered the strange emotion I felt when he held Amarylis' hand.
I know he means well. Amarylis may change her feelings by falling in love with the old man. But I can't control myself every time it has anything to do with that woman. He must have been megging. Impossible this is natural.
Seeing them eating voraciously, I squinted my eyes. When eating my cooking, they ate for a long time to match the way of the conch. But it doesn't feel that bad. I just haven't been an expert at estimating salt levels and tasting it.
“Why should it be now, anyway?” protest Matt. “Gue just sat down for a while, just washed the dishes. Not running from duty.”
“Chick you call.” I stared at his phone screen which showed a video call. “Eit. Finish first lo.” task I kept that thing out of his reach.
“Sadis. If I'm cutusi, you have to be responsible.” Matt washes dishes as quickly as possible.
“Makanya, do your task from earlier, just sat.” I glanced at Amarilis who was silent. “Why with your tongue, Amarylis? Bited?”
He snorted sharply at me. “Matt true. We just sat for a while because of the glut. You don't have to be so annoying.”
“Dare to fight me too. Just faced with a fire, you feel great? Don't be happy first. Our business is not finished about that,” reply me. I put on headphones, so they don't bother me anymore with their rebuttal.
Meghan called to coincide with Amarylis having finished washing the dishes. The two men entered their rooms to talk to their loved ones. Uninterested in hearing the female conversation, I waited in the front room while trying to read the daily reports of the restaurant going into my work email.
My head began to tolerate the weight of numbers and letters I read. I took advantage of that by continuing to check the report. Maybe the problem is not my head, but the media I use. I'll try to get them to print it out and read through the paper.
I let out a loud sigh seeing that Amarylis was already sound in bed. Her phone screen went out, a sign their video call was over. I glanced at the watch. Ah, it's worth it. It turned out to be past midnight. I'm excited to read the report.
An idea flashed through my head, so I did it. This woman did something crazy that I'm hard to forgive. It was true that he had secretly approached Clara and pointed his hand at the ceiling. Even though he managed to overcome that precarious situation, I cannot forgive him.
“Ng?” She muttered softly after I finished taking care of her. I thought he was gonna wake up, so he went to sleep. Goody. We won't make a fuss until morning comes.
The first thing I did in the morning was talk to the two Amarylis guards. I was surprised the woman learned martial arts since I returned to Indonesia. I think he could be that brave. But Daisy had no idea why she had asked him to teach her that, other than self-protection.
What happens to him when I'm not around? According to Daisy, she can take care of herself. Why did he learn again? Does this have anything to do with the girl I called Kat? Is she as crazy as Hillary and Clara?
I wanted to ask them, but I locked up my intentions. If Amaryllis finds out I'm thinking about another woman, she can misunderstand me. Even though Daisy works for me, she could be too excited to mention Kat's name in front of my wife.
“Theeooo!!” His shout greeted me as I opened the door. Matt just came out of his room until he tripped on his own foot. “Are you crazy!? What are you doing!?”
“Wow, Theo.” Matt peeked through my shoulder. “If I were lo, I would seek refuge. Blow Kak Amaryilis sick.” I glanced at him. “Ah, okay. I won't interfere.”
I entered the room and closed the door. Seeing him roll around trying to let go of himself was very funny. He screamed for release while threatening me, but I let him serve that sentence for a few more minutes.
My body is sultry after exercising, then I take a shower for a moment. His screams were like music comforting in my ears. Let him know what it's like. That's the result when he acts heroically, but ignores it with his own security. I looked at my reflection for the last time in the mirror, then held the doorknob. It's time to free my wife.
An excruciating pain suddenly struck my head again. Damnit. Whatisthis? The faint shadow that seemed to be memory after memory stored in the memory of my head played out quickly. Her pain became so intense that I gave up and knelt on the floor.
I glanced at the medicine box that was above the sink. There must be some pain medication there. My natural medicine is in the bedroom and I'm not sure it's strong enough to drag me there. I try to ignore the pain. But I lost and darkness took over my consciousness.
