Home For My Soul
14|A Disturber

I know the way I'm doing this is very dirty. But they started first, so I have no other way. Only this method is effective for hurting and making them think twice before disturbing others. I need to remind them how it feels.

Satisfied by her reaction, I immediately left the place. I don't want them to know I'm here looking at everything from afar. What's more, I don't want them to know, I'm the one who told the little boy to take a surprise for Chika.

They could definitely easily guess who did that, but later. Not today. I want to enjoy a little peace every time I cross paths, and Chika is too busy thinking about the gift. I was free for a while.

“Heh, Amaryllis. You must have stolen my money, huh?” a classmate said as I prepared for lunch.

“Money? What money?” many confused.

“Gue carry two hundred thousand in the wallet, but the money is gone,” he accused sharply. The other students around us took surprised breaths.

Can't stand it anymore after a few days of suspicion, I stood up. “If you want money, work. Don't take advantage of the opportunity. Is there any proof that I took your money? Where's purse? Is it in my bag or your pocket?” fierce say.

“I just checked my bag, no one's stuff inside. That senior can take away my hard work for granted, don't think I'll be silent if anyone tries the same thing again. Give me proof that I took your money, just talked.” I walk towards the door.

They talk to each other in class, I don't want to know what they're talking about behind my back. The next course is still a long time away, so I don't need to stay in this room or to the library. I'm a pricked jerk. I'd better have lunch in my rented room.

Theo was still annoying to be in the study when I was with Matt. His sister Senewen felt her brother's eyes on us. Especially when she was sitting by my side to listen to my explanation.

“What's up, Theo? Matt's right. He who deserves to be in that room and expel people who interfere with his learning activities with Amarilis,”, said Aunt Ruth during our dinner.

“Gue doesn't bother them, Ma. Really am. I just sit in the corner and don't talk at all,” he said, defending himself.

“Not bothering what? He glared steadily towards Amarilis's sister, Ma. I'm sitting by his side, ‘kan, join interrupted,” to Matt, have not given up.

“OK, okay. I will not bother anymore and just read the book doang,” said Theo, relented.

“Neg. I want him not to be in the room as usual, Ma,” protested Matt.

“Enough!” shout Aunt Ruth firmly. Both of his sons kept their mouths shut. “Matt true. What's up until you act weird, Theo? Usually you lock yourself in a room and study. Why do you have to be in that room while they're inside?”

I felt the young man turn to me, but I acted indifferent and continued to eat my food. The sooner I spend my rations, the sooner I leave this house. I was not bothered by their conversation.

“Gue lonely alone in room. So, I learned where they were,” Theo replied accordingly. I choked on the food hearing it. He and I know that's not the real reason.

“Lo lonely? Since when?” muck Matt who then laughed loudly.

“Already, already. Come on, eat right. You guys are being disrespectful in front of guests,” scolds Aunt Ruth. Matt was silent, even though he was still smiling. “You are not coming tomorrow, what are your plans to fill the weekend?” ask me, change the subject.

“Clean-clean in room, Auntie,” I replied politely.

“Tuh, you hear? That's what college students who live far away from their parents do. So, you should be grateful to be able to go to school and college here. You can focus on learning, not doing anything else.” He advised his two sons.

After drying my clothes and breakfast, I cleaned the room. Saturday is the day I like the most, because I can do activities that I like. I took the violin and headed for the city by train.

Learning from my previous mistakes, I made sure the place I went to had no one occupied. Satpol PP in the capital is more fierce, so I also can not get caught. All my efforts to get to college will fail miserably if detained.

“Please, Son. Here there is nothing busking,” said the mother of the ketoprak seller.

“Oh, yes? Thank you, Mom,” I'm happy.

There are not many people who want to give the money, but I do not give up. Just the first day, I just haven't found a strategic place yet. In the afternoon, I moved to the entrance of the train station.

Until the night and the atmosphere of the city instead of getting quieter, I did not stop playing popular songs through my violin friction. They often clapped, satisfied with the music I played. I am grateful and happy to see the money they gave me.

Just eating bread at lunch, I stopped by the stall near my rent room. I bought rice complete with vegetables and side dishes. After taking a shower and changing clothes, I enjoyed dinner while listening to my song collection.

“I noticed, you two days are playing here,” said a woman as I just came out of the toilet. He looks like he's gonna use the restroom.

“Iya, right,” I replied slowly. Looks like he's one of the merchants outside this station.

“There is a better place that will not be disturbed by the officer,” said the woman, making me curious as well as happy.

The place he told me was quite far away, but could be reached by public transport. As long as I don't have to use an online taxi or taxi, I want to go anywhere. Because the cost of city transportation can be paid from the results of busking.

I decided to check the place out next weekend. Active days of college can not be bothered to just take a walk, because I have to learn and teach. After all, the money from Aunt Ruth was big enough to meet my living needs as well as saving for college expenses.

Unlike last Friday, I came in the morning and waited for the three girls to arrive at the campus. I've prepared a second surprise for my best friend Rahma. They came in their cars, and a young man gave her a bouquet of flowers.

“Hey, who are you!?” rahma exclaimed as the man left on his motorcycle.

“What's up?” asked Nisa who walked over to him. “Wow, do you have a girlfriend?” He looked at the flower with a carefree face.

“No,” said Chika suspiciously. “This must be a trap again. Do you remember the gift box I received last Friday?”

The faces of his two friends paled. I smiled seeing that he was not as stupid as usual. They exchanged glances before Rahma checked the cards on the bouquet. He gave the flower to Nisa, then took out a greeting card from her envelope.

“Oh, no!” pekik Rahma was surprised. He immediately put the card along with the envelope into his bag.

“What's up? What said?” nisa is impatient. Rahma just shook her head.

“Do not make us curious, Rahma. What's it all about?” press Chika, a little threatening.

Rahma placed her index finger in front of her lips while looking around them. “My secrets that only you know.” The poor girl also sniffled.

It was the result of their evil deeds to me. Problems in Medan should remain in Medan, not even brought to Depok and used as an excuse to bully me. Do they think I want to be insulted so until graduation?

There are still classmates who dare to accuse me of stealing his wallet, hoping that I will be trapped and the other friend affected. Thank God they have no proof. I don't want to give them the hard-earned money.

Theo's attitude is the same. He accompanied me and Matt in the study from when I came home. Was watching me for three days last week not enough to convince him that I wasn't stealing? When is he going to be here?

“Oh, God!” Nisa gave a stifled cry seeing the surprise for her in front of the door of her luxurious rental room. The incident that I could see from outside was that, because the room was on the second floor.

He looked to the left right, then out of the house before entering his room. His face was deathly pale from being reminded of his past. It's time for me to get ready if they can guess who the perpetrators of the three interesting items are.

I arrived at the college a few minutes before the first course started. That way, Chika and her friends don't cross paths with me. As much as possible, I avoided the drama that morning and saved my clothes from dust and my feet from wounds.

The classmates still discriminated against me by leaving only the back seat. The row of seats was even made to be spaced with a row in front of him. Fortunately my ears were very sharp, so I had no trouble hearing the lecturer's explanation.

Seeing that Chika was at the end of the corridor, standing leisurely waiting for someone, I turned around. He was waiting for me to prank me again. But Nisa and Rahma were already standing in front of me when I turned around.

“You can no longer run,” said Rahma sharply. He looked towards the other students who were just passing by, not intending to help me. “We need to talk seriously.”
