Home For My Soul
79|Acute Jealousy

“Oh, yes, geez!” he shouted, surprised when he opened the fence, I was in front of him. “Can't you stop your bad habits?”

I just kept watching him close the fence, then lock it back up. He turned around and frowned looking at me. His round eyes narrowed. His thin lips docked, almost forming a straight line. Why is it that the more beautiful she is?

But I'm calm she doesn't wear excessive makeup. It looks like powder and lipstick. If he wears a full-face, I'll wipe it all off his face. She's just an intern, not a model or getting married. Her hair was also just tucked behind her head.

“Come, accompany me to breakfast.” I held her hand.

“Theo, I have to go to work.” He pulled his hand from my hand. Amaryllis, my future wife, refused my hand.

“To work or meet boss lo?” I asked without emotion.

“Of course I'll meet the boss at work. Release, Theo. I don't want to be late,” he said, still trying to pull his hand from me.

“Lo accompany me breakfast or the company I will make bankrupt,” threatened me casually.

He rounded his big eyes again, then snorted softly. “Are you crazy?”

“No. I'm jealous.” I opened the car door and let him in first. He tried to say something, but relented and closed his mouth.

He was silent as long as I was driving the car. Goody. I don't want to fight with him. After considering what to eat, I chose a bakery not far from work. I bought some sandwiches and bottled drinks.

“No, I had breakfast,” declined when I gave him a bag of bread.

“Eat or I bribe,” threaten me. I gave a smile seeing him muttering quietly without a sound, swearing at me.

“I can be late, Theo,” reload. This time he sounded worried.

“Norman is my acquaintance. He won't scold you after I tell you what made you come late to the office.”

“That's called nepotism,” he lamented.

I switched the conversation by asking about the situation at her internship. As usual, he spoke at length every time he discussed things he liked. I don't like to see that. Moreover, his eyes enlarged, his lips smilingly called the company owned by Wiryawan.

If things were different, what he's praising right now would be my family's company. I hate Chika and her family. They've kept me away from my future wife and must endure hearing her praise Wiryawan.

My phone shook and I received the message I was waiting for. Amaryllis won't be late, so I don't have to bother telling the man the reason for his delay. I'll show you in front of him.

“I only worked for a few weeks here, not looking for a husband. So, you don't need to be jealous,” he said, as we arrived in front of his office lobby.

“Gue is jealous there is always a reason,” I said, explaining. “Lo lunch with your boss family yesterday. Which boss did that with an intern?”

“I-it …. How can you know?” tanyanya surprised. “Oh. Ja. Your guard.”

“What are you so happy that you didn't realize I was there too?” I narrowed my eyes.

His mouth was wide open. He shut it back down once he understood what I meant. “OK. I just had lunch with them, no other reason. Aunt Wiryawan likes my violin game. That'sallthatis. If you're there, why not greet me?”

“Truely just lunch?” my question is full of search.

“True, dear.” He looked back. “There's another car in the back. I have to go.”

Without waiting for my response, he opened the door and walked out. I saw from the front mirror. The person in the back was exactly like his escort report. So I went out and called Amaryllis. He stopped and looked at me.

“Not an item. Ini—” I kissed her lips, then changed my mind after feeling the sweetness and tenderness of the part I liked the most about her face.

I hugged her waist, brought our bodies closer together, then kissed her deeper, making use of her open mouth in surprise. The surprised breath of those near us did not make me disinclined to give them a free spectacle.

Amaryllis just stood still and did not return my kiss. I coaxed through kisses, rubbed her back, and stroked her cheeks, until she kissed me too. Feeling the movement of his lips and holding his hand on my shirt, I stopped.

“I'll pick you up for dinner together. See you later.” I didn't wait until he answered. Seeing Norman open his mouth from the back seat of his car, my mission this morning worked out well.

The girl was born naive, so I had to work hard to keep her from the temptations of other men. Norman is single, young, and wealthy. Which woman would not be interested in him? They often meet and work together. If it wasn't Amaryllis, it could have been the man who fell in love.

Katelia has always been inferior to her present circumstances. It seems like he has high standards about beautiful women. I've never judged Katelia in her old body as a beautiful girl. The new Katelia, well, that's what you can call beautiful. Otherwise, I wouldn't have fallen in love with him.

Whoa, Altheo. Didn't you speak wrong?  In love? You fell in love with that pimpled, toothless, unattractive woman? Quickly too. Is it possible that what people say in my social media comments is true? Amarylis has bewitched me.

No. gabe. Magic, pellets, whatever it is, I don't care. I love Amaryllis and everything she has. Especially when I kissed her. I can't wait to do more with him. What does it feel like people say?

Okay, enough, Theo. It's still morning, your brain has gone too far. Focus. There's a lot of work waiting. I took a deep breath to calm my mind and something that made me want Amarylis. The effect I only felt when I thought about him.

“Good morning, sir,” greet the man who greeted me in the meeting room.

“Good morning. Sorry, I'm a little late.” I looked around the whole room. The participants are ready to attend the meeting. “Please start the meeting.”

I was just sitting when I felt the phone in my pocket vibrate. Papa's secretary usually sends all my work through an office email, so this can't possibly have anything to do with work. I took out the communication thing and checked it.

It was a message from Amarilis. Have you gone crazy? I became a gossip material in the office because of you! I smiled reading that sentence. Actually, my goal isn't that, but this doesn't matter either. Let all the other employees not dare to approach him.

The guards couldn't get into his office, because they weren't employees. They can only occasionally disguise themselves as a package deliveryman or janitor to check the circumstances. The rest, they familiarize themselves with security officers in order to participate in monitoring CCTV.

This jealousy of mine is both acute and chronic, but I am obliged to keep my future wife from anyone who tries to hurt or snatch her from me. Our relationship has come so far, I don't want to lose him. Just one more step, then she's mine forever.

“Lo where?” I had already arrived in front of his office lobby, but he was not among the employees walking out of the main door.

“Work. Did you forget this morning you drove me to where?” said sarcasm.

“Lo only internships. Why is it still in the office outside of business hours?” I glanced at the clock on the dashboard.

“Because I still have a job. Do you think I'm a son-in-law who can go home anytime I want?” reply with intense.

Usually he is sensitive this way because it will, is, or has just finished coming months. It's a habit I've memorized out of my head. Does he think I'll back off when he's being this rude? He always forgets what I can do.

“Down right now or I'll go up and pull you home in front of everyone,” I threatened. Without waiting for an answer, I cut off our phone.

Not until fifteen minutes, he had already walked out through that main door with a sullen face. His mouth was swearing at me. A unique girl. He doesn't like to do my orders, but he does. Characteristics of a good wife.

“What's wrong with you? Why suddenly take dinner? Don't you usually meet your papa with your business partner?” his protest.

“Lo want to eat well with me or I kiss in front of all these people again?” I looked at him with an expressionless look.

He closed his lips, holding back the emotions. After a while, he did not also speak, just sat back and looked at the front of the car in annoyance. His lips moved to form a sentence. You arrogant boy. I smiled seeing him.

I didn't take it too far, because I was hungry. Considering she likes meatballs, then I chose those foods to improve her mood. I turned towards the front rearview mirror feeling something strange behind the car.
