Home For My Soul
209|Bind Forever

~Altheo~

I was so scared when he said that. But I try to be calm. The boy can't leave forever. For I will not only lose her, but also my wife if something bad happens to her.

Thankfully, the doctor said he was fine. I held my breath, worried that something bad was really happening to the little guy. Even though we have not met, we love him very much. I even took care of my wife as best I could to protect our baby.

Therefore, my soul seemed to be willing to leave my body when he called the word divorce. Has not enough of this morning shaken me that he should discuss that one point of our prenuptial agreement? There were so many points, why did he have to choose the split section?

That part must be in agreement, not because I intend to end our marriage someday. I could have lost my memory again or something that changed my heart and our marriage ended. That point was to protect him from poverty and hunger.

Although he promised never to leave me, one side of my heart did not believe him. Its alright. If he's desperate to leave, I can drag him back. If necessary, I'll tie him up forever so that he can't run away again.

He was surprised to find another suitcase ready in our room. Finally, he knew about my plan. Getting out of the bathroom, I was not surprised to see him sitting around waiting. He would have talked about my departure. The thing I intentionally kept up to this day.

“Gue gets a call to testify at Hillary trial. Coincidentally Antonio and Meghan are back tomorrow, so I'm with them.” I answered the question.

He crossed both hands in front of his chest. His body parts are increasingly making me unfocused. I swallowed heavily. “I was at the scene. Why am I not called to testify too?” tanyanya.

“Gue is enough. They can't possibly ask for testimony also from lo, Matt, and all our bodyguards.” I entered the wardrobe to wear pajamas. “Which court may pay for all of our tickets. After all there are pedestrians who can also be asked for his testimony.”

“I'm coming. If not, you can't go. Let it be pedestrians or apartment officers who testify,” he said.

“The main victim must be present, Kat,” I said, explaining. I left the room after putting on my shirt. “Lo will be very tired if you go there tomorrow. Did you forget about your content? The trip was too far for lo and our baby.”

“I'll be fine. What is exhausting? I can sleep during the flight. Anyway, I have to come or you can't go,” he threatened.

Realizing that he had made up his mind, I would not be able to change his stance. My mother assured me that she would be fine. It's better for him to leave than not to come and get sick from being sad to think about me. His obstetrician gave a certificate in case someone asked about it when we would fly there or go home later.

He looked so happy during our trip, as well as the flight. Maybe Mama's right, this is better. He also kept his words by sleeping while on the plane. Meghan just laughed a little at me worrying about my wife.

What makes me so heavy to carry with him is that he will also be needed at Clara's trial. I want him to go with my family, not with me. So, she had time to rest after our honeymoon trip. But he's been crying every time I try to tell him about the plan.

“Thank you for taking me for a walk, Amarylis. Indonesia is so beautiful!” Meghan hugged her best friend as we parted ways at the airport. He was picked up by his driver.

“Together, Meghan.” Amaryllis approached me as the woman walked towards her car.

We went back to Antonio's house. The man did not let us rent an apartment or stay in a hotel room. Because we lost arguing with him, we gave up. We didn't go anywhere over the weekend, but instead focused on recovering jet lag.

On Monday, the patrol car was waiting for me in front of Antonio's yard. I didn't expect to be treated like this. Amaryllis was so worried that I had to convince her that I would be fine. He who had originally agreed to wait at home, forced to come along. I looked towards Antonio. He understood my point and arrested my wife.

“Do not do this, Amaryllis. I must have gone home safely.” I caressed her cheek.

Tears have washed his face. “How can I not worry? You will testify against the wicked woman who nearly took your life. The court sent the police to you, so it's a serious matter, Theo.”

“They just escort me following the procedure, dear.” I let go of the finger hook on my hand. “Let me go, Amaryllis. It's just a minute. In a moment, I must be home.”

“You should go home. If anything happens to you, just look. I'll catch up with you,” threatened.

Although I was calm, my heart pounded quickly as the car moved. The journey to the court is quite far, but the traffic is smooth. My eyes were careful to see the situation around me even though my gaze remained towards the front of the car.

I felt a little calm when we arrived at the court. The officer accepted my arrival, then took me to the waiting room. There were also some people waiting in the room. As soon as the court was due to be held, I was asked to enter the courtroom.

I got a second turn after the testimony of a man who happened to cross the pavement on the day of the incident. He was accidentally hit by a target that Hillary released. Although he survived, he lost one of his kidneys that were affected by the blast.

Everyone in the courtroom has been watching me closely since sitting on the witness stand. But I'm focused on the defendant's attorney and the public prosecutor. I answered the questions they asked briefly and clearly, without rambling. I want this thing done soon. After all, Amaryllis must be worried about me.

“Thank you for coming, Mr. Husada. Your trip is very far away, so we really appreciate your arrival,” said one of the claimants who escorted me out of the room.

“Thank you back.” I took his hand and shook it for a moment. “Hopefully I can help you with my testimony.”

“Very helpful. You are the key witness to this trial. Without you, we cannot prosecute the defendant with the maximum sentence.” He glanced towards the courtroom door. “I have to go back inside. Again, thank you, Mr.”

I nodded my head and looked at him until the door separated us. The police officer in charge of guarding me pointed towards the exit. I obey them. Antonio's driver was waiting at the door, so I got straight into the car.

The patrol car moved first, then we caught up. They were just escorting us, not ringing sirens to get rid of other road users. Traffic was still good, because it was not time for lunch. Fortunately, schools and campuses are still on summer vacations or the streets are definitely crowded these days.

A very loud noise caught my attention followed by a continuous sound on the car in front of me. The car I was riding stopped suddenly, threw my body violently forward, then hit the seat hard.

My heart was pounding hard and I felt my whole body trembling. I can defeat anyone as big and strong as I can with my martial skills. At least until help arrives. But Sena is my weakness.

The situation around me turned chaotic. The cars honking forced the front row to keep moving. Sidewalk users screamed in panic, away from the rain. I did the best thing I could do in the middle of the pit, downstairs.
