~Amarily~

My head hurts, forcing me to open my eyes. I looked at the ceiling of the room I was familiar with. My stomach was nauseous, so I sat down. Seeing the medicine, the glass, and the note on the nightstand, I read it. It was Theo's handwriting that suggested I take the medicine.

After drinking it, my condition improved a little. I slowly stood up and felt pain all over my body. What the hell happened to me? I walked into the bathroom and was surprised to see my reflection in the mirror. My hair was messy, my eyes were sunken, and my skin was pale.

I brush my teeth, clean my face, then comb my hair. Since living with Theo, I never went out of my room right after waking up. Even though I'm ugly, I don't want him to see me in a mess.

While cleaning up, I tried to remember what happened last night, but I could only remember what happened at Meghan's house. I chatted with him when Theo was spoken to by some people I didn't know.

“Morning,” greet Theo who is enjoying his breakfast at the kitchen counter.

“Pagi.” I was surprised to hear my voice as a man. I cleared my throat, then sat by her side.

“How are you doing?” He brought a plate of bacon in front of me.

“My head hurts once.” I sighed softly. “What happened? Why can't I remember anything?”

“What was the last thing you remember?” He asked back.

“We are at Meghan's house. That'sallthatis. How could I be in the room, I don't remember.” I covered the bread with lettuce, tomato, bacon, and ham with the second loaf.

“Oke.” He nodded slowly, but I saw a red tinge on his face.

“What's up, Theo?” I canceled my intention to bite the bread. “Why are you blushing so? Did I do something embarrassing?”

“Eat.” He's clearing slowly. “No embarrassing thing.”

“I won't eat before you say everything.” I took my plate away from me.

He glanced at me, then I saw another red tinge on his cheek. So obnoxious. “There are giving you medicine paerngsang.”

Pet medicines? What do you mean the drugs that make me …? Oh, naw. Did something happen to us last night? This pain all over my body. Did he and I finally sleep together? Oh, dearGod. It's a shame.

“Nothing happened.” He cleared his throat slowly, making me suspicious. “Lo don't think that's not true about me. Do you think I'll fuck you if you won't remember? Just yummy. Our first time won't we both forget.”

“Then why is your face flushed so?” I closed my chest with both hands. “What did you do to me last night?” His face is burning. “Theo!”

“Gue see your body. Okay. I can't get that picture out of my head in an instant. It's not my fault I can't take care of myself. Hence, drink it slowly. Do not directly sip two glasses without giving a pause.” Why is he angry?

“Lo complains of heat, so I just wet your body in the bathtub. I flush you with the water from the shower. You know for yourself if the clothes are wet, your body is shaded. Your chest is big and, ah, I mean. Yes, I see everything.” He didn't see me at all when he spoke.

“Stupid basis!” irked me. “Why did you bathe me? Where's Daisy?”

“Lo don't want to let go of me and just keep touching your body to me. The effect of the drug is so strong that all of your body is sensitive. Do you think I'm not ashamed to see a neighbor when you ask your chest to be held?” He massaged the top of his nose with his index finger and right thumb.

“Mana you speak English again. Lo whining so, yes, I've just flush in the bathroom. Daisy helped change your clothes, so don't think about anything. I also know the limits. I won't be able to see you without clothes.” He sighed softly. “Satisfied?”

Oh. Lord. That's a shame. I've heard from people's mouths about the effects of drugs, but to men. I've never heard of women. I felt nothing strange but headaches and stomachaches. This muscle pain may be due to me being exposed to water for too long.

“Did you give me the medicine to eliminate the effects of the painang?”

“No. I just give you a lot of water so you can urinate a lot. Wh why? Your body parts are still sensitive with touch?” tanyakanya.

I shook my head slowly. “Only headache and stomach.”

He glanced at my plate. “Eat. That's the only way to help reduce lo's pain.”

I also according. The food did not taste on my tongue. Either because I'm still shaken by the story or there's a problem with my tongue. But I forced my mouth to chew the food. I need it to make my situation better.

To make her feel better, I purposely wore thick, loose-fitting clothes. So, I can hide my chest and chest slightly which is indeed awarded more prominence than other parts of my body. Amaryllis was very lucky in this.

After changing into a dress, I remembered Meghan. I decided to call her before I left the room. He answered her on the second ring. That's fast.

“Hai, Amaryllis! Thank goodness, you finally called too!” He sounds like he's crying.

“Meghan, what's up? You crying?” many confused.

“I feel guilty for inviting you to my house. I'm sorry, Amarilis. I didn't know that my brother was going to—” He couldn't continue that sentence.

“Your sister?” I'm getting confused. “What do you mean, Clara who put the medicine in my juice last night?” He mumbled slowly. “That's not your fault, Meghan.”

“Of course it's my fault. If I hadn't invited you, it wouldn't have happened.” He sobs. “Are you okay? I didn't dare call first, because I didn't want to interrupt. Are you and Theo finally .. ah, I mean .. ah, that's.”

“Nothing happened between me and Theo,” I said, understanding the meaning of the question.

“Really?” her screech was happy to be followed with a relieved voice. “Oh, thank goodness! I'm afraid your relationship will be ruined because of my actions.”

“Meghan, hey. That's not what you did, but Clara.”

“Stay I feel guilty. I was surprised to see him so happy when we had breakfast. Turns out he's the one who put two doses of peragsang into your drink. He wants to ruin your girlfriend's wedding plans by making you both feel bad.

“If I hadn't invited you, then none of this would have happened. I'm sorry, Amarilis. I can't protect you in my own house. If you don't want to be friends with me again because of this incident—” He's back sobbing.

“Meghan, I told you, nothing happened. Clara's plan failed miserably. How about we talk about this over lunch together on Monday? You have no plans to vacation with your family yet, ‘kan?” my question, give a suggestion.

“Really? No. gabe. We are planning to go to Indonesia in August. Papa wants to attend Theo's engagement. Ah, I'm sorry about that, Amarylis.”

“What can I do. Our relationship was not sanctioned by his parents.”

We ended the phone call, then I went back to the front room. Theo who was reading something on his tablet raised his head, glanced at my clothes for a moment, then looked back at his gadget screen. I sat by his side.

“Lo talk to whom?” tanyakanya.

“Meghan. Clara put the medicine in my drink. Two doses. You believe that?”

“You should be very happy.” He shook his head.

I felt my face heat up. “We'd better not discuss this anymore.”

“Agree.”

I glanced at the tablet screen. There were many numbers and letters that he was seriously reading. Looks like it's a report on the restaurant. The poor guy. I put my head on his shoulder. There was a great responsibility on his shoulders at this young age.

Remembering Meghan's words, I couldn't be angry with her about the grand plan anymore. Marrying an equal woman is one of her responsibilities to her family as well. I went awry, not knowing whether to trust him or end our relationship.

The next day, I had lunch at the restaurant as I promised Meghan. She looked sad, even though I tried to comfort her. His attitude was very different from Nora who relaxed after making me almost lose value.

The sound of glass breaking made the restaurant pause for a moment. Then a woman screamed from behind me. I turned my head and saw a woman standing while putting both hands on the side of her head. His body covered the scene he was shouting at.

The entrance opened violently attracting the attention of everyone. The big man stood there with a dead red face. What made everyone inhale in surprise was that he carried a firearm in his hand. His eyes were on the woman.

“Please!” shouted one of the men sitting to my right. In an instant, the atmosphere of the restaurant became chaotic with the noise of shifting tables and chairs.

“Oh, God. Oh, God.” Meghan started crying and held my hand tightly.

According to the customer's words, I invite Meghan to bow our bodies. Her body was shaking, so was I. I just want to have lunch and talk to my friend. Why are we even in this situation?
