215|Testing Guts

I looked at Theo wryly. Even though he didn't see me, he must have realized I was looking at him. He was always serious about the words he said, so I had to be careful. My goal of coming to this place should be to succeed. I've been waiting for eight years.

To give myself courage, I started with a little thing. After breakfast, I headed to the hotel pool. I gulped heavily as I was about to enter the corridor which directly indicated the location of the swimming pool. I could hear the voices of our parents.

I peeked a little, but my heart was pounding so hard it made me tremble. I immediately stood up straight and took a deep breath. I-i can. I should be able to do this. After a few breaths, I tried again. Seeing Father and Mother chatting by the pool, I felt a little calm. I turned and saw so much water in front of me.

Step by step, my heart calmed down. Brother Nolan and Brother Jericho who were swimming waved their hands at me. They don't know I'm afraid of water, but I'm sure they can guess it from my attitude of always avoiding ponds, lakes, or beaches. Those three places were my favorite places first.

Even though it was sunny, I could hear splashes of water as I continued to drown due to the pull of Amarylis' hand. My heart was pounding faster as if the event was repeating itself. I took a deep breath. No. gabe. It was just my own fear. I was in the car with Theo. I'm in a safe place.

After she helped wipe away my tears, she took my hand to walk until our feet touched the lake water. I looked around me, also staring at the blue sky with white clouds decorating it. The sound and sound are gone. My heart was beating normally and my body was not shaking anymore. I closed my eyes and seemed to be able to see Amarylis' smiling face.

His task in the world is done, so I continue the task he left for me. I will take care of his family as best I can. Although I can't help in material matters anymore, I can help them promote their efforts.

There are already two bakeries and cakes owned by them are very popular in Medan. I forbid them to open branches in other cities to maintain their taste and quality. “Thank you for everything, Ma. Take care of your health, yes. Don't be too tired taking care of the store.” I hugged him tightly.

We also split up. My husband and I returned to Jakarta. My family drove us to the airport, but they couldn't get into the departure terminal. Theo and Matt took care of our luggage and checked in. Me and my in-laws can sit around waiting for them.
