43|I'm a Jealous

“Lo said what was it?” ask without emotion. “Other men? You dress like this because you want to be with other men?”

I rewinded my head, but it was stuck to the wall, unable to get any further from it. “Theo, can't you calm down a bit? I was just kidding.”

“Gue is not kidding. I was serious when I said I was jealous,” he said sharply. “Lo is lucky, who was with you was Chika. If it's another man, you'll regret it for life.”

“I—” said I was trying to defend myself.

“Gue don't want to hear anymore. We're back now.” He took my hand towards the hall.

You weird guy. He was still fine. As soon as I mentioned about the other man, his emotional buttons were suppressed. Why should he be this angry, anyway? I'm obviously just kidding. It was only his sister who was comfortable to joke with.

My emotions eased at the stunning looks of Matt and his colleagues. I was finally able to find out the figure of the violinist who had caused the problem. When he came, I didn't get to meet him, only hearing his apologetic voice. The appearance is perfect with a black dress, neat hairdressing, and minimalist mekap.

I blinked my eyes many times to convince myself that I didn't see it wrong. She took the time to go to the salon, but came late to her own concert? Did he not realize that he had made his comrades difficult earlier? True allegations. She lies.

As soon as the concert was over, Theo took my hand out of the hall. I haven't even been able to say goodbye to her parents. Seeing his face folded ugly like an eighty-year-old grandfather, I sighed softly. Especially mistake?

“How can this shirt be on lo?” It was the first thing he asked when we were in a restaurant.

“Declaration,” I said, unwilling to answer.

“Amarilis,” he said in a threatening tone.

“You want to do anything, I won't answer your question. Point,” I said without trepidation. What could he do? Take this shirt back?

He looked at me carefully. His habit no longer intimidates me. Since he doesn't talk, I assume he won't ask about it. Good though. Enough of me to know how I can get all these clothes back.

We eat in silence. Not a stifling, but calming silence. He ordered snacks in addition, I didn't refuse. My heart was happy and the violin was draining all my energy. So, I need more energy than usual.

Feeling uneasy on my stomach, I checked the bag I was carrying. I went to the bathroom and my guess was right. I'm coming to the moon. Fortunately, I soon realized it or I'll regret having soiled this nice dress.

“So, you take your shirt receipts from my bag,” he said as soon as I got back to our table.

I'm laughing a little. “I got caught.”

“Why lo?” he asked while looking at my face. “Face lo pale.”

“It's okay. You done yet?” I glanced at the plate.

“Iya. I also paid.” He frowned. “Lo sure it's okay?” Although she is my girlfriend, we have not arrived at the comfortable stage of sharing personal information. So, he doesn't need to know what's causing me to look pale.

“Yakin,” tukasku.

When I got to my room, I felt very relieved. After cleansing myself, I lay down and slept until morning. It's the only way to overcome the limp when the moon comes. I was lucky to always experience it at night. So, my daily activities are not disturbed.

In the morning, I woke up refreshed. My body doesn't feel weak anymore. I got ready for college and had breakfast with Theo's pillowbread. I don't know why he likes to give me snacks. He doesn't like me losing weight.

“Oh, yes, geez!” I squealed in surprise to see him in front of the fence. “What do you do early in the morning here?”

“Lo already breakfast?” He asked back.

Realizing that he would not answer my question and would remain silent until I answered, I relented. “Iya, eat bread.”

Just surprised. I didn't expect him to come pick me up this morning. Maybe he was worried because I looked unwell the night before. He stopped his bike in front of a food stall. I ordered rice, while he only ate cake.

He must have had breakfast with his family. My saliva came out imagining the taste of the cuisine they enjoyed this morning. I can already guess the delicious menu of their food, not much different taste with dinner.

After breakfast, we went to college. He acted strangely by holding my hand until he arrived at my lecture hall. Unlike before, she did not hug or kiss me while she was leaving. A guy I can't predict.

“You see that?” ask a woman behind me. “What did Theo do? Today he was with that fat guy, yesterday with Chika. Is he cheating?”

“You don't know rich people. They usually have more than one woman. I also if so he will accept all the beautiful girls to warm my bed.” A young man's voice came from behind me.

“I misjudged Theo. He was nothing more than a brash man who liked to play tricks on women's hearts. Rich but immoral,” snorted the woman earlier.

“What did you say?” I couldn't stand it anymore and looked towards them. It turned out that not only two, but there were three people standing gossiping behind me. “Theo is rich but immoral?”

“Allet alone the name for a rich man who has many girlfriends?” challenge the girl, completely undaunted already accusing people recklessly.

“Do all women who are close to a rich young man mean his girlfriend? Can they no longer have friends? You are jealous, yes, because Theo never wants to be friends with you, but with a fat and ugly woman like me?” my nag.

“Good morning, Amarylis,” greet Sonata who immediately stood between me and the woman. “Lecture is almost started. Come on, let's find a seat.”

“Jaga. If I hear you insulting Theo again, I'm overlapping your skinny body!” threatened me before Sonata managed to push me into the lecture hall.

Sonata gave a small laugh, then sat down in her favorite chair. I sighed in annoyance as I put my bag on the table of my chair. Realizing that my weight was far from ideal, I sat down carefully so that the chair would not be damaged. My emotions are still exploding.

“Collapse with senior will not be good for you, Amarylis,” entertain Sonata. “You only have me. So, we are outnumbered if they decide to gang up on you.”

“They won't dare,” I said confidently.

“Do not try. Our senior solidarity is very strong. After all, the three of them were the children of rich people. You won't be able to win against them,” he said seriously.

The rich man's son. Very annoying word, but he was right. They are not my opponents. If they're just cowards like Chika, I can deal with it. Moreover, I know all his weaknesses. But I don't know who the old three seniors are. They could be very respected people in this city.

So, this is what my friends who often hurt me. They are willing to fight, but helpless. My parents were very respected people in Medan, even North Sumatra. Chika's parents just don't dare to mess around. They are richer than us.

If anyone tries to challenge us, then not only their name is smeared, but Papa can make them lose colleagues and business partners. One thing that can make a business of any size slowly go bankrupt.

I don't have rich parents, but Mama would be very sad if the cake and bread business were closed because of me. Although they were not my biological parents, I felt I had a moral obligation to protect them. Moreover, I also caused the death of their daughter.

“Do not make an appointment with anyone tomorrow, yes,” Sonata said as soon as our morning course was over. “We had lunch together.” He glanced at the door.

I looked over and saw Theo was already standing there. “OK. We'll have lunch together tomorrow.”

Just like this morning, Theo took my hand from the lecture hall to the parking lot. I smiled happily to see those sirik students looking at me cynically. Cih, if Chika who walks with Theo, they adore their compatibility. Unlike if I were the one walking by his side, they were instantly envious.

“Lo want to eat what?” ask Theo who put a helmet on my head. What's wrong with her? Is he usually not this kind?

“Anything,” I replied as I moved away and put on the helmet strap myself.

“You eat stone?” ask her with annoyance. What's he got, anyway? A second ago the sweetness was begging for mercy, a second later turned irritating.
